- Here's a Chinese made clone of a 168F Yanmar single cylinder air cooled diesel engine.
It's rated for 2.2 kw at 3000 RPM so it's good for a solid ~3 hp if we're being honest.
More to come. Including a thrash. And supercharger!?!?
The only way to make more power in a old pump - line - nozzle motor like this is to increase the output of the injection pump.
The bottom part is the pump, it is a piston pump actuated by an extra camshaft lobe.
It's output volume is controlled by the governor mechanism inside the side cover.
I can't tell you exactly how it works from the fuzzy Chinese parts diagram unfortunately, I haven't had hands on a diesel this basic in 20 years and that was a 20yr old German flat opposed twin cylinder air cooled Genset that worked flawlessly.
If you apply forced induction send boost pressure to the tank and pressurize it and the supply and return lines together. This will increase injection pressure under boost and could increase fueling by a few percent and keep the injection timing correct. Just put a tee fitting in the boost line with a short tube - check valve - and one of those little breather filters. That will vent vacuum to atmosphere but pressurize the fuel system under boost.
You could also try one of those little crankcase breather powered fuel pumps to boost injection pressure and get more fuel into the cylinder.

These are new,used to be only 1 Chinese Diesel you can buy. Now they have these ones and a 247cc version that's more like the 410cc ones
I am familiar with the 186F (410cc) engines, but to my knowledge these small models only appeared stateside recently. Perhaps almost too conveniently after I contacted a major Chinese manufacturer and noted the lack of small diesels available in the US... Hmmm... ;)
@@aircooledetc383 I saw these for sale on alibaba about 2 or 3 years ago, but I wasn't willing to buy a whole pallet load without knowing their quality. I'm guessing these were made mainly for rural Chinese and Indian farmers and they didn't even know there was a market in the west until recently.

I got mine in the mail few week ago now it's still in the box on work bench I've got a bunch of frames laying around just not sure what I want to do yet maybe put it on a Chinese ATV frame
Put 100ml petrol per 1L diesel and add 20ml 2t oil. Feel more responsive.. 😁
All I could read on those warning labels was scribbles and I'm from Macau (what a shame, I know). But comparing the looks of the Cheng Chung diesel and the gasoline Honda clone that has a Hisun nameplate on my Coleman bike, I'd say everything on the aftermarket (except cylinder heads since they have a spark plug hole) for the gas small block Honda/Predator/Tillotson/Clone engines should fit on this diesel with no problem at all. As for the big block (406cc) version of this diesel, which is roughly 200cc bigger than the one you have (196cc), I think all the aftermarket parts for the gas big blocks should fit the big block diesel as well, with the exception of the cylinder heads that is.

Shipping oil is just a thin machine oil. Always drain and change before cranking

No, compression release or throttle kills it

Even fast forwarding was a waste of time spent on this worthless video . The "I DON` T KNOW" a pump from an injector or what that is ; I am not an expert : are classics of what you should not attempt to do until your know what anything is , even though reading fuzzy Chinese hieroglyphs a.k.a Hanzi all 6 types of it is not necessary for the task ; most especially where it concernes a primitive one lunger diesel HONDA 17:1 clone
