Definitely don’t feel ashamed for giving the half marathon a miss- BUT, you need to be prepared to get 3 hours of sleep before the Marathon. It’s really common and many many people just have to push through with limited sleep, myself included ❤
I ran the marathon on 2hrs sleep the night before! But I knew I’d get very little sleep the night before so made sure I got extra hours in the 3-4 days before! Even took those days off work so I could make sure…All part of the strategy, just like nutrition, hydration etc 🙌🏽
Dont feel bad about not competing. You know your body better then anyone and made the right decision for you. That coloured water is to attract Tuis🐦. Its sugary water and they're attracted to red. New Zealand is so cold at the moment so I feel you on that one 🥶🥶🥶!
Heyyy, about the Coros vs Garmin pacing, you can work out which one is accurate by dividing the total time you were running by the amount of kilometres! That will tell you the average pace and you can see if the Coros pacing was accurate. Also maybe check if the watch is in miles! Because I think an 8 minute mile pace is about a 5 minute km pace!
Hopefully after your marathon you can get back to just running for fun and not stressing about paces, finishing times. Even down to the shoes and all the gear. Strip it back and just get a bra and runners on and just run and not worry about all the “running gear”. I’d also say your morning before a run having coffee greens and breakfast is so much before bashing your body up on a run. I’d do post run greens. I find it better on my body to consume less before a run. Just my advice as a nearly 40 year old who has run since she was 20 when running was simple - shoes on and run. No stress drama external stuff ♥️♥️♥️

I would definitely recommend wearing both the Garmin and Coros just for one of your runs. Then you can see the difference between them and which one is more accurate! 😊😊

If I saw my score was poor I notice myself not wanting to work out or push myself to do it. Obviously a marathon is different to a gym sesh but it just something to think of! I found it impacted me mentally in a bad way!
I am dying to know if you’ve changed your dji camera settings in anyway? I have the same camera but am not loving the quality but it’s probably because I don’t have the settings all figured out!! Love the quality of yours in these videos Xxx
i haven't touched the DJI settings! I film in 4k and 60 f/s!! I do turn up the saturation in editing because i do feel like the colour can be a bit washed out sometimes xx
Regarding your pacing with the Coros gear… I had issues with the pod giving me accurate readings. One time I was running easy/ some effort and the pod said I was doing 20 min miles instead of the 9min I was actually doing. Try running without the pod to see if that might be an issue with you too. I think the pod just takes some Calibrating

For the pace you can also take your time and distance and calculate it online to see what your pace is. Then you know which watch was right! 🙌 19:48
