    Just changed my front tire with a bib for the first time. I’ve been running tubliss for years for ease of tire installation. Mounting up my new vx40 with these tips made it super simple! Easier then tubliss I think!!! Thanks Rich! Now to test this tire

  • @PBmxer
    @PBmxer 2 роки тому +1

    Nice tip with the cheap auto lube. I just use a simple stand and several small straps to hold the tire close to the rim on install. I also use a small hand clamp to keep the rim locks pushed in. Takes a little more time for setup but almost no effort with no rim scratches.

  • @tkrey23
    @tkrey23 2 роки тому +1

    Nice to see some attention being brought to the lube. There are various brands of sil-glyde that work great or any silicone grease as well. These things can be bought in small tubs that last a long time. Go for a 5 mile ride on pavement with silicone grease vs the tire soap a lot of guys run and there is a really noticeable difference in temperature of the wheel. Heat kills mousses

    • @IRCTireUSAMoto
      @IRCTireUSAMoto  2 роки тому +1

      Yes the harder the mousse is the more it will accelerate the wear. Gummy tires want the ability to flex less flex equals more wear.

    Im new and am on day 4 trying to install/mount my first mouysse. Any lever I let go of flips out and the bead slides up. Every video I watch everyones levers stays in and holds the bead down in the rim trough or at least acts as a guide to let the bead slide down. My mousse just pops back up and out. As a matter of fact the whole mousse keeps climbing out of the rim I had to use hose clamps just to hold the mousse over the rim. Its like mousse is to big but its the size to use. 90/100 tire fatty 90/100 michelin mousse. I ordered 4 more bead buddies 😮…! Hoping they will help the bead slide down.
