Thank you so much for this. I had no idea this was a thing until your video. I was planning to buy a cheap laptop to remote desktop into my audio production PC for those moments when I have to be my own engineer. This will be way cheaper than that. It will also be way less annoying than having to insert a large gap of silence, press record, and then go get into position when recording vocals.

Happy it was useful to you.
FYI, the second part of this...being able to create and remote control individual monitor mixes for all your musicians...is going up on Friday afternoon.
It's largely the same video as this one but I specifically show you how to create the monitor mixes in Reaper and then access them (through the same webserver setup as this video) on your other devices.
Reaper is really upping their game.
Thanks for watching and happy (remote) mixing!

    Evaluation licence 😔

      yep, evaluation license.
Can't afford the full license until January, not much I can do about that.
And I only JUST decided to switch over to Reaper from Pro Tools as my full-time DAW with this newest release.
So I'm actually still within the actual evaluation period.

@@QuickEZ a lot of people do that, so make sure you like reaper and get used to it before you spend money on it. Good luck.

      Thanks,
      I’ve already decided it’s a good fit.
My only stumbling block will be relearning keyboard shortcuts.
19 years of Pro Tools quick keys is so imprinted on my brain it’s like breathing at this point.
