Tractor Mowing of Grass in Dellfield for Hay

The Box Moor Trust mows grass across different areas of the estate in line with various management plans. To ensure ground nesting birds have fledged and wild flowers bloom and seed, the Trust has a regime of cutting the grass during mid to late summer. The cut grass is then baled, to provide food as hay, silage or haylage for the livestock during the winter months.
