There is something so satisfying about watching vintage EMD and GE diesels that are a Railfan's dream, especially hearing the roar of an SD40-2 or the chugging/whoop of an GE U30C or B40-8
Glad to hear that! My favorite's are E's F's & PA's pulling vintage coaches. Thats why I always like watching videos from IRM. Also 80% of my layout is Passenger service Trains ☺☺☺☺ 🚎🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃
Great video, Andrew! I am glad that you and the rest of the crew had the opportunity to spend all three days at the Illinois Railway Museum's Annual Diesel Days. I really enjoyed seeing these diesel engines in action!
Is the museum ever planning on repainting the E9B unit? If so I wonder what railroad it's going to be Burlington Northern or Burlington to mention a couple?
I would like to see that E9B repainted also to match one of F7a's But it has a good coat of paint for now! There are other locos there that are rusting away, that need a coat of paint soon before they are no longer recognizable as what they really are! Case in point SP#1518 even though it never was one, I would like to see it become Black Widow scheme!!!
I see Santa Fe 92 is doing an impression of a Leslie rs3k. 31:52
WOW!!! Did anyone else notice the sinking of that wooden bridge at 21: 20 under Burlington #9911A?

I’m starting to acquire an eye for E and F units. Great video!

Do more stuff at Franklin Park, I love to hear those P5As scream
We'll be back at Franklin Park soon!
Nice
Thank you!
It would be shocking if IRM switched to electronic bells on all their diesels.
I won't be able to join the premiere cause I am in Chicago..
That's a great place. Nice video.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome Video!
