I really appreciate that you haven't been providing decklists. I like giving us the core of the decks, and letting us find the rest of the answers. Very teacher-like
Agreed. So many other channels provide horrendous decklists anyway. Wheres the point in having a shitty decklist when you can just glance over some stategies and single cards and make your own deck instead?
@@Winterhe4rt Not to mention anybody can just edhrec some base ass build. but explaining the synergies and what yoiu should be striving to do isnt provided easily. love it.
This definitely helped me build my Sythis deck. But I found a way l liked it more than how this presents but it’s still essentially the same with a bunch of defense and becoming practically untouchable. I finally completed mine and it DOMINATED. Really great deck.
I've personally built my sythis as what i call 'curiochantress', there are quite a large number of old auras which bounce back to your hand for 1 mana, and in that deck i can quite easily draw 2 or 3 cards for 2 mana. On top of that, with some untappers, i can generate infinite mana with the new sanctum weaver, or combo our using cloudstone curio with a haste enabler, draw through my deck and modern people to death ala heliod + walky B. Sythis is an obscenely strong commander that i think alot of playgroups will overlook at first, until she combos off on turn 5 and wins.
This is great! Just watch out that if you want to go Voltron and suit up your Commander with auras that Sterling Grove will give her shroud and make her impossible to target with your own auras.
Heliod plus Ballista is marvelous Second Sun is also funny (especially in combination with calix for digging even faster) Shielded by Faith plus Siona for infinite tokens I also really like Meticulous Excavation for sending enemy commanders back And Hallowed Haunting plus Katilda
Been playing this deck for years. With the amount of enchantresses in the 99 you don’t really need one in the command zone. I go total pillowfort until I win with Opalesence or Starfield of Nyx, and for that I use Sigarda, Host of Herons. She also gives you an extra win con with Ancestral Mask. I don’t run any rocks in this - not even Sol Ring - just enchantment based ramp. Because Shadow Spear has become so prevalent, negating Sterling Grove/Greater Auramancy, I run Stony Silence, Null Rod, and even Pithing Needle. The only artifact ramp I have is Smothering Tithe, but it’s worth the sacrifice if the Spear comes out. For good measure, Avacyn is also there to ensure victory once everything is animated.
@@greatbrandini3967 Yes, you are correct. I used the wrong example. The spear removes the indestructible granted from avacyn, but also causes problems with Privileged Position. I can also name Arcane Lighthouse with the needle.
You are the best jumbo. Your videos have really helped me improve my deck building. The way you explain interactions has really helped me with card selection. Thank you for all of your deck techs.
I heartily recommend playing both Flickering Ward and Whip Silk. Repeatable enchantress/constellation trigger for only two mana per rotation? Sign me up.
Hmm.. I think Alhammaret's Archive could be good for the deck too (it may be overkill however), it amplifies the card draw of every draw source in your deck (and the life gain too)
I lucked out big time. A friend of mine was super nice, and traded me both his replenish and sanctum. My God is this deck fun. Some of my friends have decks that are an absolute bear to play against, so having a deck that gives them a a little bit of a headache is always entertaining.
Awesome video, always the best go to commander page for decks. I was building sythis for a bit but i gave up because i couldnt figure out a decent win con. Definitely gonna be my next deck though after i finish getting stuff for Norin
Swapped out my boring Sigarda Voltron, for Sythis and was quite fun, my lists a little Janky but I able to claw back a game after I pillow forted and Sphere of safety'ed. Still not sure about some of the lifegain trigger cards I'm using but enjoying experimenting.
Instead of Starfield which opens you to board wipes for creatures AND enchantments, I am going to be running Sigarda's Summons when that's out, along with Nykthos Paragon and a few other creatures that have "everything gets a +1/+1 counter when" triggers, so that my creatures all become base 4/4 flying angels on top of having +1/+1 counters on them. I'm not considering Archangel of Thune because getting infinitely big would be easy, but doing so at instant speed when it isn't my turn, so I can USE those 42k/42k angels is entirely another.
This commander looks like sooooo good. 2 mana for casting a commander that lets you draw card ??? excuse me ? That cannot be bad. You point out very good ideas, great video :)
Thanks for the inspiration DJ, was gonna build her after I took apart my Rhys the Redeemed deck and now have lots of good Selesnya enchantments laying around!
I prefer playing Tuvasa instead. The color more gives you more options like Propaganda or even a Rhystic Study. And don't forget things like Tunnel Vision into Replenish xD
What do you think about Sythis vs Tuvasa? I have a Tuvasa deck and I was thinking about streamlining it into a Sythis deck, but Tuvasa just provides me with such an easy to assemble wincon….
I’m glad they printed a real enchantress for the CZ, but the access to blue (and therefore, Omniscience, countermagic, Enchanted Evening, and many other fun tools) is just too much of a boon for me to consider dropping Tuvasa. My deck, in particular, would lose way too much of the stuff that makes it unique and interesting if it dropped blue. Sythis will be going into the 99, though.
It's 1 green to draw 1 gain 1 in this deck with just the commander out. I'd say this is the best home for it, not a bad commander with 21 decks on EDHrec.
See I've always sort of wondered about this, could you even run urborg in this deck since it's a swamp land and that's out of the color identity? Ik non lands have to be from the color identity of the commander but I have seen people do gain or scry lands that have a color outside of the identity of their commander like for instance playing a grull turf in a golgari deck since it taps for green
@@s.i.rjewel828 weirdly - normally you couldn’t run a swamp because of colour identity, but Urborg isn’t a swamp while it’s not on the battlefield. It’s typeline is just “legendary land”. So not only can it not be fetched up by fetchlands like Marsh Flats, it can be played in decks without the black colour identity
It always makes me sad that people dismiss Oblivion Ring, Journey to Nowhere, Detention Sphere, Leonin Relic-Warder, Icy Prison, Suspension Field, Fiend Hunter, and even Copy Enchantment type spells. They all have Combo Potential with multiple of the same effects, Sun Titan, and Parallax Wave/Opalescence. You can get loops of Creature ETBs and Constellation Triggers. That supreme synergy is what helps the decks feel a little different and can add that extra bit of needed reach to close out a game with something other than pure damage. This is something Grasp of Fate and Song of the Dryads can't offer.
resurgent belief is unplayable in my meta's power level. but i think sanctum weaver actually out powers serra sanctum in bant lists. it goes infinite with a ton of enchantments you where already running.
Ah yes enchantress. The deck that is one of the most fun to build but the least fun to actually play. I can't say how many variations of this I've built only to play it once and take it apart lol.
As someone who loves Uril, the Mist stalker, I had the deck ages ago and enchantress is typically a flash in the pan for enjoyment and interest. Personally anyway. Watched the video, realized I have most of it to sleeve up, but know I'd get bored of it too quickly :/ not sure why enchantress is that way, but it is
I have a Kenrith / Saga Tribal deck that is almost an enchantress deck, but has a all the interaction with counters I can find / afford. Every pre-kaldheim saga in there. Lots of fun to play and different every time... I have another Kaldheim Saga Tribal with Changelings that is... less effective & fun lol, but still figuring it out.
I would put in Midnight Guard and Presence of Gond to generate an infinite number of Elf Warrior tokens and Concordant Crossroads to give Haste and swarm my opponents for lethal
I really appreciate that you haven't been providing decklists. I like giving us the core of the decks, and letting us find the rest of the answers. Very teacher-like

Shadow Spear only removes Hexproof and Indestructible, so it has no effect on Sterling or GA

Heliod + Walking balista is an easy one. The lifegain Part of sythis works also great with heliod
Where can I find the deck list ? Thank you for the video
You forgot Sionna and the enchantment that gives you nearly infinite 1/1 soldiers. and opalescence/starfield activated with paralax wave.
