OIL CHANGE ON MY 2019 FORD RAPTOR

HERE ARE STEP TO STEP DETAILS ON OIL CHANGE
Tools Needed:
T40 bit for removing skid plate oil filter access panel
10mm socket for removing oil drain access cover
15mm socket for oil pan drain plug (2018+)
Ratchet for above bit and sockets
Oil filter wrench for tight oil filters
Oil drain pan (over 6 qt capacity)
Funnel
Rag to clean dipstick
STEPS
Remove skid plate oil filter access panel with T40 bit
Remove oil drain access cover with 10mm socket
Loosen engine oil pan drain plug and let oil drain into pan (2017-2018 plastic plug / 2019+ 15mm oil drain plug)
Remove oil filter (use oil filter wrench if necessary)
Clean oil drain plug and oil filter mounting surfaces
Lubricate new oil filter O ring and install
Reinstall and tighten oil drain plug
Fill 5 quarts of engine oil with oil fill funnel and reinstall oil fill cap
Start engine to let oil circulate (Check for any leaks or abnormalities while running) and shut engine back down
Check engine oil & top off if necessary
Reinstall skid plate panel and cover

More contaminants are in suspension within the oil.

Hot is not the vibe mate, warm sure but hot is a bit too much cuz you'll burn yourself or have to be doing it while dealing with the heat.
Great video! Your new content has been really good! Pennzoil platinum is great oil. That’s all I use as well. People trash talk it for no reason. My wife is in the oil industry and has seen lots of testing and it’s rated very high.
I never thought the Pennzoil conventional oil was that good. I was skeptical of Platinum too before I educated myself about it but research showed it to be a good choice for the HEMI so I run it. I settled on Castrol back in the day when I ran regular dino oil.
It's all I use
Just a little cut of cardboard slid up under where the drain plug is funnels all the oil out of skid pan area . I don’t know how many time I watch people do things and they don’t think it through before they start . Next time you work on your stuff , stop and think what could go wrong . Then come up with a remedy. Your doing good with the effort though , not many women will even try 👍

Good vid. Safe yourself a lot of aggravation and get a Fumoto valve. It replaces the Oil pan plug and you can use a hose right into your drain pan. I actually enjoy changing oil on my Raptor because of this inexpensive part. Good luck!

If I had a workshop in the United States, I would call you to change the oil in customers' cars. But I don't live, I only have a small mechanic workshop in Brazil.
It's a good idea to change your own oil and transmission fluid or gear oil. Those quick oil change places screw something up 10 times out of 9. They either don't put in enough oil, put in too much, forget to change the filter, put the wrong oil in, or who knows what else. When you do it you know it's being done right.
When adding oil and don’t have a funnel use a long screw driver and pore the oil on the screw driver

As far as adding oil to the filter, you can hold the brake and gas pedal down then hit the start button, and the engine will turn over without firing and you can build oil pressure! Don't forget on most EcoBoost engines 15-20 minutes of wait time after turning off until checking the oil level.
That bolt needs a tool called an "E-torx" socket for future reference. Just in case you run into another one.

Check into one of those Form A Funnel, they're really slick. Stick it up there bend and fold as necessary to catch and let rrrrrrip
We’ve learned that the Raptor needs many skid plates removed in order to change the oil.
Small price to pay for its performance capabilities.
You need a impact drill to zip out the bolts. Makes it faster and easier.
Watch Rainman Ray’s videos. He zip’s off more 10mm bolts than any man I know.
One good thing about oil on the driveway…a couple of rainstorms and the stains go away.

I would rather keep running the OEM Motorcraft oil filter and just change the oil vs using a Puralator, over the years ive had some issues with low oil pressure and lash adjuster/chain tensioner noises. Nothing but changing oil filter and topping off oil cured the noises.....granted this was 6-7yrs ago so maybe their technology has improved and its a thing of the past but once ive been bit 3 times i dont pet that same dog again lol.

The price to pay when you're too lazy to bolt down the whole underbelly shielding. I always take it down if i see that the oil will just go everywhere otherwise.

I came on here to be a total douche bag, but I have to give credit where it's due. First... GREAT form in the gym. I have been a gym rat since my days at the UNL (Huskers) and I know good form when I see it. Nice. As for the vehicle part of the video... Good job with the exception of elevating it on the ramps. Yeah I understand why you did it, but elevating it will leave some of that old shit in the back of the pan. Of course unless the ramps leveled it to begin with. Regardless nice video. Keep up the great work at the gym.
