The benefit of this approach is the ability to configure how you want. I presume they'll build an XL Regular Cab if you want them to, which would make for a pretty unique truck.

It was very difficult to go v8 to ecoboost or vice versa in the previous generations. Now it’s dang near impossible for the moment.

Impressive truck. Not that I care about drag racing trucks, but I suspect if this was on 35s, this would be a sub 5 second 0-60. I do have one niggle though--you can special build a car or truck, sometimes you can even eclipse that target you're trying to build. But it will never be that actual thing, whether that's a Raptor or any limited production model. And if the owner goes to sell this in 5 years he going to get a small premium on F150 money, not Raptor money.

Some days I get sooooooooo ANNOYED with Ford and GMC that I think, why not just build my own truck with a custom aerospace-grade alloy Titanium ladder frame, some high-hub 4-wheel independent suspension drives with 20 inches of ground clearance (like that on a Humvee or MRAP) and custom high-torque drive shafts and just stick a Platinum/Limited trim level F150 or F350/F450 body and interior on it!
Since we can in-house design and CNC a high horsepower ceramic-coated high-pressure all-Titanium engine using either a 1000 HP V8 up to our 3000 HP V12 engine anyways, we might as well put that in our custom truck.
Manufacturers just don't go far enough on their 4x4 designs. i want REAL POOOOOOWER and HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE (20+ inches!) and 42 inch aggressive tread Mickey Thompson Mud + Rock + Snow Tires!
Might as well CAD/CAM/FEA/CNC-build it ourselves!

I would do a Ford F150 Limited trim level for all the fancy interior stuff including fold-down flat seats, front console work surface, fancy audio system, blue cruise, 7.2 KW onboard generator, etc. and get them to supercharge AND us the twin turbo of the 3.5 litre V6 powerboost. The supercharger gives the low-end initial acceleration boost and the twin turbos give the long term highway speed boost.
Let them add all the fancy Raptor gear and accessories to make it a LUXURY off-roader!
For kicks and giggles I would ask them to do a Lincoln Navigator L (for long wheelbase) version of the Raptorization package since it's basically a F150 anyways with a back bed enclosure but just needs the Raptor off-road gear!

There is a 22 Raptor at my local dealer for 120k lol what do you think a R is gonna go for with mark ups and lack of availability?
I ordered a 22 raptor back in December of 21, got my confirmation email then a few months later get another email from ford motor company telling me there would be delays.
I ordered a TRX in mid December because of all the ford production issues I was reading about on the forums. I took delivery of my TRX in literally 35 days from order. I still don't have a VIN for my Raptor.
I had a 2014 Gen 1 raptor and loved it, I'm not a fan boy for either company BUT Fords production is all jacked up. It's the only reason why I considered/went TRX.
Dear Ford, your production issues have lost you a lot of customers. I was "wiling" to get the ecoboost over the V8. I was fine with the lower Hp/Tq numbers.

Ford is slowing cracking down on dealership markups. Best bet is to take photos and send it up to ford through social media and/or contact information.

we need a bigger rim for this, 17'' rim sounds lot more feasible rather than just about 13.5''
and let's get rid of the leaf spring at the rear----which is outdated, just set it up as the GEN 3 raptor's suspension is super.

I'm in I want a "Paxtor" with that super charged 5.0 but it would be a 5.0 on a 4x4 XL crew cab for me cause of cost. That would put me around $68K.

Not bad for a stock truck with stuff bolted on aftermarket. The truck doesn't seem to have the hard launch on video, like the TRX, though. I'm more curious about how the Raptor R will launch of the line, if it will do it as well as the TRX.

Seems sorta lazy for a high end outfit to just stay with leaf springs. A 4 link is much better handling. If you want better towing. Up your spring rate.
