WHGAT A ROLLERCOASTER SUMERU IS?? HELLO? THIS IS CRAZY.
i'm getting more and more excited to do the exploration as well! but apprently the full map STILL isn't out.. the desert looks so fun though
I'm in LOVE with candace. i wanna give her great gear and hopefully use her as main dps somehow, pls mhy pls pls make her decent as main dps
anyway, don't wanna spoil anything here but WOW.
act 4 is just as nuts, and got me to think of a CRAZY theory with a friend, definitely gonna list that in the next description!
winter is coming back and maybe we can do more cozy stuff again, we'll see! maybe a part 2 of parkour? that'd be neat c:

Why do I get the feeling that when the kid was all “I’m dying”, Scaramouche was probably like “Just live”
Honestly? Probably. It’s clear that Scaramouche, especially when he was better known as Kunikuzushi, doesn’t understand how mortality works. He sees death as betrayal and much like his “mother”, doesn’t know how to process loss. So instead of grieving, he simply represses everything because he doesn’t understand it. In all honesty, it seems like he is not too different from Nahida with the simple want to understand the process of human life. Something tells me we’re going to have to entirely rehabilitate him. Or - he’ll be reprogrammed. Though, I doubt that’ll be the case.
Yeah, who knows what Ei filled his head with while trying to make him a fit replacement, all that eternity nonsense probably messed with his head tbh.

It's pretty interesting that every negative emotion Scaramouche sees ad "betrayal". He wasn't betrayed by Katsuragi (we know that thanks to the Katsuragikiri Nagamasa) and seeing kid's death as betrayal is kinda weird. He didn't know how to label emotions since he is not a human but a puppet, so it's normal to name everything as something he already knew - grief, sadness, all became betrayal.
I'm sorry I just really love Scaramouche and his lore. I really hope we will see him happy and smile again one day TT
edit: also it's finally confirmed that Katsuragi's surname was Niwa and he is Kazuha's ancestor !

@@RednasYo It's not Katsuragi that betrayed him, but Nagamasa. Katsuragi saved Kunikuzushi, and was then killed BY Nagamasa for letting Kuni escape.
The third betrayal was less about the kid dying, and more about the circumstances of the death: Kuni had gone to Inazuma City to ask for help in curing the people of Tatarasuna, and was promised by Yae that Raiden would not abandon her people. But, they never did help, and many died.
Dottore's entrance was the best out of the fatui so far. I got chills throughout. I'm so happy he's finally in the game. I love apples, but I also love dottore...

The Scaramouche sequence was so good... the issue with the kid, interestingly enough, was not the kid himself. Scara went and asked for help during the whole Tataragami thing, but help never came and that's why the child died. In short, the man is full of abandonement issues combined with the usual problem of immortality facing mortality of humans. And his inability to deal with that was the reason Ei discarded him in the first place - he's too sensitive. (Too good, if you will. His emotions make him too easy of a target both for others and the big danger all archons face - erosion. Nothing makes erosion easier than a sensitive heart facing too many losses.) There's currently a pretty cool post in the general Genshin reddit if you want a "TLDR" of his lore! I love him so much...
When I was playing the part of the quest where Sumeru is intended to be eerily empty and we walk up to find everyone crowded with Dottore I burst out laughing because I had the commission with Hatim and thought he was part of it. I walked up to him and instead of saying something that leant to the creepy tone he was just like, “Traveler! Get me some apple cider!” It was way funnier than it should have been.

Honestly Act IV may have not been as interesting to me as the Samsara, but Act III was really really good especially with Dottore’s introduction (which has to be my favourite harbinger introduction yet) and the Scaramouche flashback was just chilling.
Act IV gave us much needed character developement for Dehya, Alhaitham and Cyno. It was a pretty engaging way of introducing their motives, personality and moral compass. In a single act, a lot of characters were fleshed out. Even Rafman came out such an interesting character after the act.

@@inquisitor200 well it certainly did have great character development, but i more mean in terms of the setup, i really find the idea of a looping day fascinating while confined to a singular area. it’s a really unique plot which was different from genshin’s usual - go here, meet this person, go somewhere else, talk to another person setup.

Lumine's face when Katheryne gets stabbed was just literally me for these next two acts like MAN I THOUGHT THE FIRST TWO WERE WILD BUT THIS JUST THREW EVERYTHING UPSIDE DOWN
This quest right here probably has to be my favorite one in the game so far. It's filled with content that keeps you hooked until the very end. I liked the characters who appeared in it too. I don't know why but seeing Lumine with Alhaitham, Cyno, Dehya(And Candace, though she appears for like 10 minutes) reminds me of the time in Mondstadt where Lumine is with Venti, Diluc and Jean. The cutscenes were amazing! My favorite has to be Lumine fighting the guards at Pardis Dyhai! I can't wait to watch the video!
Writers sure did a good job at portraying inner conflict of a nation, at least it feels like a conflict - unlike in Inazuma which is honestly saddening.
I just really find if bizarre how scaramouche fits in with the sumeru archon quest like brotha literally just dips in n out whenever he feels like it 💀

More than 3 act for archon quest really solved the rushed final arc problem with Inazuma and Liyue (Kinda), although Liyue get the good end of the stick by getting 2 interludes as closure for several story lines while Inazuma needs to retroactively fix some plot holes via new character (like ayato) or limited time events story
What plot holes are you referring to? I see the word being thrown around alot but I'm not sure the community actually knows what it means. A plot hole is a narrative inconsistency, not missing information that later gets revealed. Ayato helping the resistance and us not knowing until he comes out is not a plot hole, it's just story telling out of sequence. Because our narrative is often told from limited first person that will happen often.
Idk man adding reveals 8 months after the arc is finished sound more like a damage control, no?
The ending for inazuma was kinda of boring in my honest opinion
Now hearing you speak of the Aranara quest, there's a version of it in the dessert! It's really not as long but it helps you find the hidden waypoints and gives you a tool to help with exploration. You can get the quest in the village in the dessert and I think you'll really like the NPCs in the story! (Jeht and Jabreal specifically. Daughter and father duo ^^)
In addition, to get the continuation of that quest, you have to wait a real day and go to the Statue of the Seven near the dessert village! That’ll start up the rest of the quest!!

All lines on the elemental stones are lines the archons actually say, word for word, at one point or another. The only archon we've met not to say the line yet is Zhongli, who will probably do so after we meet the harbinger responsible for northland bank.

1:33:40 well technically, We as the spectators saw it but as the Mc and Paimon we thought The Matra took it so we (as Mc and Paimon) didn’t suspect Al Haitam.
This quest was so good. A bit slow towards the end and I saw the "We need to gather our thoughts now" part coming. But certainly a nice setup. I REALY cant wait for 3.2 now. But it does feel strange doing other quest right now. It feels like a cliff hanger and doing other stuff while it feels like Nahida is in great danger is strange.
But cant create content as fast as we get through it so I guess we will have to live with it.
It really went from "we need to make a plan to save God" to "let's to take a vacation in mondstat"

The thing is scaramuche is a puppet, human emotions is something foreign to him so it makes sense that he misunderstood what happened. Like Ei wanted him to be free but he saw it as abandonment or how the kid dying was like the kid leaving him

Rednas!! You need to do the Golden Slumber World Quest! It's similar to the Aranara quest, as in, it will help you unlock puzzles and more places, underneath the map too! Not as long as Aranara, but a lot of puzzles, and of course the gorgeous Desert >:)
Oh, fun detail: I think Akim(The pottery guy) voiced by Tighnari's va, their voices sounded sooo similar to me
was i the only one that didnt realize that when al haitham took the knowledge capsule the traveller didnt know? so when they said that he had it i thought we already knew haha, genshin should be better at times to keep secrets from the players aswell so we also get shocked

Dottore is the second harbinger?? 👀 I thought he was gonna be at least the 4th. No wonder they didn’t reveal his ranking in the manga.
100% agree about Dottore. He is one of the few genuinely evil characters in the game thus far. I expect he will be a weekly boss but probably not till much later. I think we will get Scaramouche as the next weekly boss and then whatever is infecting the tree as the second Sumeru weekly boss. I imagine Dottore won't be a boss until chapter 6.
I swear, they really stepped up when it came to lore. Sumeru has one of the best archon arc rn and it's not even finished yet. When I tell you that I did the whole archon quest in one day bc I just couldn't stop.

so a quick explanation on scara’s lore,
basically, after he was abandoned by ei he met a boy named “katsuragi” who is the dude with the red streak in his name. they became friends and katsuragi even sword danced with scara. they were close until katsuragi brought scara back to the bladesmiths. mikoshi nagamasa then killed katsuragi because he was terrified of scara (being from the shogun) so the reason why katsuragi died was because he protected scara from nagamasa. afterwards, scara killed nagamasa.
i’m not entirely sure if right after this scara went to destroy the raiden gokaden, because judging from the cutscene he hadn’t turned evil just yet. so next up was the kid.
the kid was most likely abandoned by his parents and scara saw himself in him. the two decided to be friends and scara wanted to help take care of the boy because he was sick. in the village they were staying at there was this illness and jt began to spread. one of the ppl from the village noticed the feather scara wore around his neck and knew he was from the shogun. they thought the shogun sent scara in order to save them- so scara went to inazuma city to meet with a particular shrine maiden; yae miko.
he asked her for help and she said she would but the help never arrived or was too late. the boy died due to the illness and a lot of ppl most likely did as well. the reason why scara was so devastated was because he never understood how human emotion worked or knew the lifespan of mortals. he probably felt betrayed after losing another person in his life, (ei, katsuragi, and the boy.)
so, after all that he sets off on this dark path and goes to destroy the raiden gokaden. (i’m guessing it was after these events transpired due to the fact he had his present clothing on towards the end of the cutscene and scara did show up in the limited time event for the iradori festival.)
so yeah, scara tried to destroy all the clans but found out the katsuragi was related to the kaedehara clan so he stopped his plan
(this is probably a bit inaccurate cuz it’s rlly late and i did this off of memory so excuse my mistakes 💀)

1:58:38 yk what doesn't add up here? Back when Sumeru was released they told that the range of Akasha Terminals is weak as they go away from Sumeru City or maybe away from City area altogether. Not sure if Nahida could still tap in unless the connection is strong in Aaru Village too. Or maybe all Nahida needs is someone wearing Akasha Terminal

Little lore thing related to only happening problems in Irmensol in Sumeru. Irmensol is connected with the ley-lines, and when there are problems in the Irmensol it causes ley-line disorders .
That's a name we heard a lot more the ooze in the chasm, the problems in the roots of the sacred Sakura Tree,and many more, were all problems in the ley-lines.
It's like a vasculature system the ley-lines are the veins, and Irmensol it's like a heard...and brain.

God Sumeru's Archon quest is crazy good. I love it so much. So far, there hasn't been a moment where I was bored. I was fed well with lore, funny moments, beautiful bonds, Scaramouche, Dottore, wonderful cutscenes, and I forgot but did I mention Scaramouche? I'm just really satisfied with the Archon quest so far.
