SUMERU IS OUT WOOOOOOOOOOOO
so uh. the archon quests are getting longer and longer, and so are the videos.. i hope you don't mind?
I still consider cutting out a lot of useless dialogue sometimes to try and make it shorter (like most paimon explanations/repeats) or even cut out everything except the essential but it'd be a lot of work and would kinda ruin the.. authenticity? i feel?
I'm not sure. this works either way! I hope you'll enjoy!
act 2 is coming asap as well, and then I can't wait to get started on farming some sumeru equipmenttttttt, I think that's about it! super excited to spend this entire year in this new region and I can't wait to see what it holds for us!

@@ppphhhoooeee Zhongli suggest that we go to inazuma as soon as possible because the sakoku decree in inazuma will get much worse if we don't go there sooner, and if Ei hear about Morax's "death" she will cling to her ideal of eternity even more and we probably won't even have the chance to go there anymore.

@@agentiiii6974 really? i didn’t really feel betrayed by him or anything because he barely knows us and he only linked up with us (and we linked up with him) as a means to an end. he doesn’t really owe us anything objectively. he’s disliked by a lot of people because of his rationality so it would be interesting to see how his character arc progresses.

For a person who plays for engagements it lacked a lot except the cut scene at the end lmao. For lore it's great but I personally like to seperate the two concepts and like digging for lore than being told it for three hours but two which their own.
Ahhhh soon you will know, there is world quest that can took u 3 days to finnish it still waiting for you...

Though there was this one part about seeds that took days because you had to grow them
I fucking spat out my drink when the cow interrupted. They’ve really outdone themselves with Sumeru though. Everything looks so lush and magical. I go back to liyue for my commissions and it almost feels empty in comparison. Also, I was pleasantly surprised with Tighnari’s personality. Thought he would be a dendro Albedo clone, but he has his own personality and is quite a bit more petty/sassy whereas Albedo’s humour comes from him just being blunt lmao

Yeah, totally didn’t defeat two Fatui Harbingers prior to walking into Sumeru.
Not to mention he had to "make sure" we were good enough to save Sumeru.. knowing all that he did in three other regions, including FIGHTING A GOD - TWICE.

For some who are curious about Alhaithams weapon, if you watched the sumeru promo video you could see alhaitham and cyno sparring, alhaitham was holding a sword while cyno a polearm.

Your videos are always great but the magic of exploring a new region is something extra special. I really hope you record the Aranyaka quest too. It is VERY long, probably the longest quest chain in the game, but it was so good with all the lore tidbits we found out.

@@idkuhhhhhhhhh Aranyaka is the name of a massive new world quest-chain in Sumeru. The closest comparison is probably the sacred Sakura cleansing ritual from inazuma, but Aranyaka is at least twice as long as that was.

tbh my personal favourite part of sumeru is seeing the new food recipes.
tbh seeing the indian food recipes available in sumeru is like… lowkey cool and strange at the same time. like… i eat these on practically a daily basis and now i can cook them in a video game ????

@@wen261 There's a shop in Sumeru city and another in Port Ormos which sell recipes, and the quests give some recipes too :D

i am a new genshin player and it is such a bizarre experience to hear the first tighnari voice (i started when they already changed the voice actor)
i love the long form archon quests! i know some other people post their own, but i always wait and am excited for yours since they can't replace your commentary and gameplay. i like just being able to put the video on and relax with it on knowing i don't have to change the video after like ten minutes lol. if i want to focus in on something with it on, it's so chill. it reminds me why i love streamers/twitch of genshin. just the long form relaxing content.

I'm really happy they decided to show Collei's symptoms of ptsd and her illness, it's kinda rare to see and even more rare to see it done well. I don't want to say it's perfect because I feel like it's not my place to decide that but it's definitely way more realistic than some other portrayals I've seen
some portrayals of that kind of thing are just downright embarrassing... I love how she takes the necessary precautions without either acting like she's entirely fine and hurting herself in the process, or just acting like she can't do anything at all

I’m impressed how even just by the first act of the quest has made me more about Sumeru than Inazuma. I’ve been loving the quests especially with the Arana. Haven’t done the ones with the Akademia because… I have a grudge with them!
I think that's because people of sumeru doesnt hate foreigners as much as Inazuma

56:13 I love Tighnari so much. Not just his slight... ineptitude in terms of communication, but also how his mystical ancestry has actual relevance to his character and the plot. I felt the same with the Inazuman yokai. It's kinda nice seeing non-humans having traits that arent just limited to their design
ive never seen anyone describe tighnari like that, i feel like hes just a bit sarcastic and deadpan, similar to albedo and cyno 🤔🤔but hc leeway is always given tbf

honestly, doing drug deals was one of the least things I were expecting from the sumeru story quest, i wasnt sure if I understood the code names right so I wet here to check up on it

also just a word of advice tho for your future 100% Sumeru exploration vid: there’s a SUPER long world quest chain that will unlock certain mechanics needed in order to gain access to a few waypoints, domains, etc… i won’t spoil anything but i just want you to be aware so you don’t get burnt out or go insane trying to 100% some of the regions in Sumeru hehe 💖✨

I replayed through the archon quest recently and I realised that the inazuma domain thing during the dream sequence was us connecting with Scara's consciousness. hoyo were hinting at him being involved the whole timeee
