The main villain dies in modern age, Ubisoft themselves said creating an AC game in modern age will be next to impossible, so I guess that could be the reason. Secondly, AC games are built on historical moments. So creating this game wouldnt make sense.

Around that time Ubisoft was planning to restructure the games with a new RPG-oriented gameplay, and decided to pretty much start from scratch with the modern day plot. Juno being killed off in a comic is them quietly ending that storyline so they have a clean slate for the next game, making Origins a "soft reboot" of the series

Assassin's creed franchise has one of the best story and lores in all of gaming. Love em or hate em because of the gameplay, you cant deny them for their story and lore as well as how these are organically weaven with real history.

I never realized until seeing it all laid out before me like this how much the writers were clearly influenced by Zecharia Sitchen's "Anunnaki Chronicles"! I don't subscribe to them, myself, as legitimate history, but I do find them extremely well-suited to inspire creative fiction, just as the AC creators have done here, I think. Idk, can anyone confirm my suspicions on this one as to whether there's a connection?
They never should have killed Desmond. They should have kept the modern day story going. Or at least introduced a new protagonist they wouldn’t abandon in the next game like they keep doing. Like Layla they introduce in Origins teasing they may do something with the character, then nothing and she just dies in a cutscene. So lame

This was a very good video! Loved it, although its missing a few things: like someone has pointed out, it wasn't mentioned how Edward was killed by a close friend of his who was a Templar and took Haytham under his wing (that's how he became a Templar) and Jennifer was kidnapped. Haytham eventually found her and he learned it was the Templars who killed his father and kidnap his sister. Elisè meets Jennifer after François de la Serre is killed and Jennifer gives her a Templar cross and tells Elisè she thinks the Assassin/Templar conflict it's very stupid and even Haytham thought that at one point, because there was a moment where both factions wanted similar things. Also, I believe they mention in AC2 that the Assassins helped Elizabeth I to ascend to her throne. And there's a good chunk of history missing from the 1980 and how the animus was created, there's info on the first subjects on AC4 and/or Rogue (in the parts were you're an Abstergo employee), how Vidic took over the animus project and more. And the last thing I remember that is not here is that Desmond has a son who is also a sage, aka Aita. He's in the comics as well, several things from the comics are missing here.

Just so you know Kassandra wasn't known to any of the future assassins as she wasn't part of the Creed and Darius wasn't an assassin either and The Order of The Ancients isn't linked to the cult because the order already existed along side the cult as shown in the Legacy of The first Blade DLC for Odyssey.

@@jacobguerrero2825 Well that's the point of Origins because Bayek and Aya were the only two to set an example for future assassins because they wouldn't have known about Kassandra or Darius because they had no active part in creating the Creed or creating any ideas for the Creed to expand upon and whilst Bayek uses Darius' blade it doesn't make Darius an assassin because Bayek used it as a tool for his Creed and then it became a symbol of the Creed because it's their iconic tool.
Not complicated at all, but I've learned more world history within these games that I ever did in school. The lore the history, the non-fiction meeting the fiction. I love these games and this is how I travel the world

Mirage has no modern day story disappointed. I suppose red will have some of it but if they want to do that like they did in last 3 games they shpuld abandon it completely.
Correction regarding Haytham: Edward never raised Haytham to be an Assassin. He taught Haytham critical thinking skills and Haytham didnt find out about Templars and Assassins well after his father's death.
Saying that Basim recognize Sigurd as Tyr and that "he met Eivor VarinsDOTTIR" and then put male Eivor, who has the exact same face and voice as Havi, was a very strange choice (you know, because woman Eivor is the canon character and that's why Loki doesn't identifie her as Havi...). Funny thing is it's even more complicated once you realize Farcry (at least 1-5 and most of the spinoffs) take place in the Assassin's Creed world. Same with Watch Dogs. And also possibly same with the Tom Clancy games tho that's a whole can of worms in and of itself

Haytham was not disillusioned by the Assassins but was brainwashed/ lived a lie by templars since a boy when Edward was murdered and he was raised as a Templar. He didn’t know better.

It seems from the very beginning the Templars always create something to stop them, being their predecessors the order of the Ancients basically created their Nemesis predecessors the hidden ones, show me to be a true Templar you have to make an assassin, basically Ezio, Connor, Arno etc.

Glad you mentioned the Hell in Hibernia "mission" from AC Unity. For those who dont know you had a mission to play as another Assassin with an online service, i dont recall who he was but you can look up a video on it. There was other memories you couldn't play but majority of them were just the other ac games at the time. But another was Hell in Hibernia about an Irish Assassin. As an Irishman myself i wish we could someday get an ac game set in 1916 and beyond where you go around and liberate Ireland as the IRA Assassins from the English Templars.(for those of you that just think the IRA was always a terrorist organisation it wasnt, originally it was founded to free Ireland from oppression. Later on it split into various organisations(about 20 different organisations in its lifetime which is currently very strayed from its original purpose.) As for the original Irish Republican Army it's historically renamed to the IRB, Irish Republican Battalion. while the cause for the bombings in the 70s are by all means the fault of the English for going back on their agreement that their control of our 6 counties was temporary.) Although an IRA game would probably never be made due to the brainwashing of society because most people dont realise that the IRA were heroes and that the 70s were an entirely different organisation as i mentioned above, it would be a nice game to have, maybe actually let some people know the truth about history that just like Templars and Assassins, not all Assassins are good and not all Templars are bad(as you can also see in AC Rogue where you play as a hero Templar killing bad Assassins)
That was not what happened to Haytham. Edward was killed by a Templar who took in haytham training him as a Templar, eventually his sister came back and together they killed that Templar, but Haytham still believed in the Templar goal Edit: where did you get your info? Kassendra was a good character, but not better than Edward. I think top 3 has to Edward, Ezio and Bayek.(Interchangeable Order). Their character is explored much more than others.

Bayek and Aya actually were the first of the Hidden Ones, afterward came Basim, and then Eivor, and then Kassandra and Alexios came after. Basim is actually one of the bosses you fight in AC Valhalla, and he also shares the middle name "Ibn" with Altair.
Kassandra & Alexios were before Bayek and Aya I believe. However they were not assassins, they were warriors. Odyssey is set before Origins, so the Hidden Ones did not exist yet in Odyssey. Also, in Odyssey, we find out that Darius is the creator of the hidden blade. In Origins it’s said that the hidden blade is passed down from their ancestors… starting with Darius from Odyssey. Making Darius the first assassin to kill with the hidden blade.

Yes, the only difference is that in AC the ISU are not supposed to be aliens, apart from that is pretty much the anunnaki story

My head canon is Juno is still alive plotting something and that Basim is a massive kink in her plans. Whether he’s good or bad.

Edward never raised Haytham to be an Assassin. He taught Haytham critical thinking skills and Haytham didnt find out about Templars and Assassins well after his father's death.

second, Napoleon didn't get the apple from the Dead Kings DLC, he got one during the main game story quest where you meet Napoleon for the first time

Haytham was not disillusioned by the Assassins but was brainwashed/ lived a lie by templars since a boy when Edward was murdered and he was raised as a Templar. He didn’t know better.

The American saga of Assassin's creed is probably the best AC story of all time in my opinion.
The Cult of Cosmos and Order of Ancients are completely disconnected, the cult of cosmos is just some random cult.
Both predate the templars and do the same thing.

Bit nitpicking but it was Kjotves son Gorm who had the apple of Eden in the Vinland.
It seems from the very beginning the Templars always create something to stop them, being their predecessors the order of the Ancients basically created their Nemesis predecessors the hidden ones, show me to be a true Templar you have to make an assassin, basically Ezio, Connor, Arno etc.
So one of the main things I learned from this was the kenway family was all over the place with their allegiances
They went overboard with the mythical shit and now a lot of people can't even comprehend the story anymore, they should've stick with the historical aspects of it and just made a game about ww2 or something
Glad you mentioned the Hell in Hibernia "mission" from AC Unity. For those who dont know you had a mission to play as another Assassin with an online service, i dont recall who he was but you can look up a video on it. There was other memories you couldn't play but majority of them were just the other ac games at the time. But another was Hell in Hibernia about an Irish Assassin. As an Irishman myself i wish we could someday get an ac game set in 1916 and beyond where you go around and liberate Ireland as the IRA Assassins from the English Templars.(for those of you that just think the IRA was always a terrorist organisation it wasnt, originally it was founded to free Ireland from oppression. Later on it split into various organisations(about 20 different organisations in its lifetime which is currently very strayed from its original purpose.) As for the original Irish Republican Army it's historically renamed to the IRB, Irish Republican Battalion. while the cause for the bombings in the 70s are by all means the fault of the English for going back on their agreement that their control of our 6 counties was temporary.)
Although an IRA game would probably never be made due to the brainwashing of society because most people dont realise that the IRA were heroes and that the 70s were an entirely different organisation as i mentioned above, it would be a nice game to have, maybe actually let some people know the truth about history that just like Templars and Assassins, not all Assassins are good and not all Templars are bad(as you can also see in AC Rogue where you play as a hero Templar killing bad Assassins)

That was not what happened to Haytham. Edward was killed by a Templar who took in haytham training him as a Templar, eventually his sister came back and together they killed that Templar, but Haytham still believed in the Templar goal

Kassendra was a good character, but not better than Edward. I think top 3 has to Edward, Ezio and Bayek.(Interchangeable Order). Their character is explored much more than others.

Bayek and Aya actually were the first of the Hidden Ones, afterward came Basim, and then Eivor, and then Kassandra and Alexios came after.
Basim is actually one of the bosses you fight in AC Valhalla, and he also shares the middle name "Ibn" with Altair.
Kassandra & Alexios were before Bayek and Aya I believe. However they were not assassins, they were warriors. Odyssey is set before Origins, so the Hidden Ones did not exist yet in Odyssey. Also, in Odyssey, we find out that Darius is the creator of the hidden blade. In Origins it’s said that the hidden blade is passed down from their ancestors… starting with Darius from Odyssey. Making Darius the first assassin to kill with the hidden blade.
