Oh how wonderful, what a fantastic birthday present to actually find the yarn that you wanted to find, that's amazing, I'm so thrilled for you!! I'm just ecstatic that you were able to track it down when it seemed like a hopeless situation at first, what a wonderful outcome!! I will definitely look at the pattern for it and can't wait to see it completed. I think I like the anticipation of a progression of videos showing different things from start to finish but segmented, so not everything all together, builds the anticipation too! All those blankets sound so fun, and the pumpkin house with the witches legs, I can't, stop it!!! Too much fun, aren't people so creative and inventive, that should be submitted to a show of some kind, wonderful! We just recently had an event here that's held every year called the Royal Adelaide Show and there are several different pavilions in the showgrounds where you can look at all kinds of things. My favourite one has glass cabinets that have a selection of things, cakes that are decorated, embroidery, knitted items and crocheted ones too, and I saw the most wonderful things there and took some photos for inspiration. Something like your pumpkin house would win first prize I'm sure! I can imagine a fun pair of slippers using some of the elements from the house, wouldn't that be fun!?? I will keep tuned for continued updates on all the wonderful things you're making and couldn't be happier about the yarn find, I am sure you feel the same! How did you obtain it in the end, how was it that someone had it available for you to purchase?? Must find out the rest of the story!! :) I know you said that you got it on eBay but was it someone who stocks discontinued yarn specifically, how did you track it down? I'd love to find out the full story of your search!
Hi Diana! Wow, I did not know it was your Birthday today, but so so happy I am your first comment here and wishing you your HAPPY BIRTHDAY on here today! Awesome yarn, wow, so pretty. I also have eBay shop, feel free to check it out if you wish. Aww, so sweet they give extras, I also (give) extras at times. Wow, I really love your WIP, thanks again for sharing updates! Hope you have a beautiful rest of your week and hope you got all you wanted and more on your SPECIAL day today! Love / Hugs!
Can I ask please, did you make any adjustments to the cardigan from what you've done so far? I am asking because I clicked on the link you provided (thank you for doing that) but when I looked at their pictures it looked quite different from yours, and while theirs was nice as well it looked more gappy/holey with the linen stitch that they used whereas yours looked like more filled in stitches if that makes sense, and I kind of liked how yours looked more than the original pattern, so I wanted to ask if you'd done anything differently? If not and if you did also use the linen stitch could it be because you double stranded perhaps? Is there another stitch that you could recommend that I could use instead, in order to have a less holey looking cardigan? I really like the shape of theirs and think they did the sleeves really well, and the overall construction is quite good, but I'd just like to have a more filled in look without the gaps, so if you can suggest anything I'd be very grateful! Thanks :)
Hi! I double checked the link I posted, just in case. I so far have done exactly as the pattern has stated, with the exception of double stranding fingering weight, which is supposed to be equivalent to DK. I did see what you were mentioning though. I’m not sure if it’s my tension, or the fact it’s not being worn. Now I’m curious how it will be on. I did choose this because I wanted a closer knit stitch. The only other stitches I would recommend are single crochet or half double, to be tighter. I will definitely keep you posted on this one! Let me know what you find.
Happy Birthday Diana! Beautiful colors andnpattern. Thanx for sharing. 🎉❤
