I like making small projects while I’m working on the big one. Gives me a sense of accomplishment. Thank you for sharing.
❤❤❤...Very Beautiful !!!...Thanks Much.

Well, I can relate! My goal is all the things that I didn't finish during the year are becoming Christmas presents for this year! 🤷🏻♀️😉🎄 They were meant to be birthday gifts and other things but distractions kept getting in the way so I'm attempting this new plan instead! 🤞🏻
I think that’s a Perfect idea! I love it ♥️
Thanks! 😊 At least that way I'm not quitting, just persevering until things are done! Patience is a virtue as they say, and they were mostly things I just decided I wanted to make but for most of them the people didn't know, so they won't know it was meant to be for another time. Better late than never! 😉
Give yourself some Grace. I am a 1 project girl with the exception of granny squares to keep my scrap balls down. I’m working on an afghan for mother’s Xmas gift.
You are so sweet. Thank you ♥️
🐝🐝🐝
Nice sweater!
Pretty. Hope Maddy loves it too!
Love the cardigan and the new yarn!
It was me who suggested you make a cheery Christmas 🎄 cardigan for Maddy with Christmas buttons, so that was quite a thrill to hear and see that! It's turning out really nicely! 😃 Those hanks look beautiful, I can see a lovely cocoon cardigan from that for yourself, something to get all wrapped up and cosy in. 🤗
Thank you So Much!
❤
Oh dear, it's the one step forward and seven steps back scenario at the moment isn't it!?? You know what though, with your positive "I can do this" attitude it's going to happen, they'll all get done and boy can I relate, I'm sure many of us can! We all have things we tire of working on but then each thing that does get done feels so satisfying, so your "aaah, I did it" time is coming! You help keep me accountable too! 😊🌼
You are so sweet! Thank You! ♥️
So pretty! I love fall 🍁🍁🍁 colors! Have a great day. 🐞
Beautiful afghan ❤❤❤
I haven't been blocking my items either, but my future things will be blocked. This is my first time on your channel, keep up the good work.
Welcome!
That would be great done in the camel stitch vertically in panels
Macaw
Hi Mary I’m looking on how to knit or crochet a tri coloured balaclava that has just the eye and mouth holes for an adult can you help please with a pattern would really appreciate it
I usually look on Pinterest. You could always do a general pattern, but then switch the stitch if you want it different.
Ivy # 2 for timeless colors, but if it’s a fun cheery project go with 1. 🧶🧶🥰
I think you're getting the selection you wished for based on what I'm seeing in the comments, and I tend to agree. The lighter green is more lively and perhaps better for a child's garment, but the ivy looks a lot more sophisticated, classic and traditional. I'm thinking Maddy would look great in a macaw, white and the coral pinkish red cardigan in thinish stripes for Christmas day, she'd love it! :) Maybe with some fun Christmas themed buttons down the front, cos you sound like you need more projects to do! :) You brighten up my day so much and give me a smile and a chuckle every time I watch one of your videos, so thanks for your joyful and bright personality, you're a gem!
Oh my gosh! I am now in Live with that cardigan idea! You are so right! Thank you ♥️
Glad you like my suggestion! I'd love to see it come to fruition! 😊🙏🏻
1 is fun. 2 is classy. Decide based on your style. Both will be extraordinary.
I think it all depends on the look you want. Macaw looks more whimsical/youthful, the Ivy looks more classic/elegant. Both would be beautiful.
Ivy. Hands down.
See, you're a way better person than I am - I'd rip it out, make her a poncho (she wanted it loose, correct?) and call it good. Have a great day. 🐞
Ivy. I’m still working on my Halloween projects.
I have Halloween and Fall projects to finish and then this came in! I’m so easily distracted.
I like the ivy better #2
I'm working on askirt
Vest and cardeagen
Ok, so that's enough set backs now, c'mon universe, have some compassion on this poor woman! When you thought you couldn't get any more of the yarn you were so disappointed and rightly so, but then you found it, so I know you will find the answer that you need to make this right as well! Is there any way to just add on somewhere, like make a separate panel to join onto what you've already done perhaps? That may be a stretch idea but just something that came to mind, but I'm sure by now you've had some ideas of your own as well. Just think there's going to be an upcoming video in the near future where you show us this all complete, finished, and telling us how everything worked out and you got it done, focus on that! All the best :)
I’m taking all that positive energy! It has to bring something good. Thank you ♥️
@@creatinga_happierme You're very welcome, glad I could help!
Ugh. Clothes are sometimes a real pain. I usually wear my clothes oversized, which helps, but proportions can get you too.
I just finished a cardigan for my mom. It was frustrating. I made her try it probably ten times while I was working on it. It took me three times longer to finish. Clothes making is complicated. I would make a small easy project just to feel like I accomplished something. Then I would go back to working on this sweater.
Heartbreaking. But it will be a labor of love. Take lots of notes.
Way to be positive! Thank you ❤
That is a really good price for the yardage definitely! We don't have Mary Maxim in Australia but have some other yarns that have similar colours. They look really lovely, especially the earthy tones, thanks for showing us! You had me hanging on your every word trying to find out what that stitch was called, not familiar with it but am very curious to know what it looks like now! 😊
I loved the earthy colors too! Not my usual go to. The stitch was so hard for me lol, just wasn’t coming.
Nice😊
That's my new motto: "If ya got stuff, ya need bagz!" 😄
Exactly! It’s so logical ♥️
Hi, Diana, I can't wait to see all those sweaters. It sounds like your weather is similar to ours, we went into the 70s this week, but we'll be back up into the mid- to upper 90s in a few days... 🥵🥵🥵 Have a great day. 🐞
I’m so sorry! The weather has been killing me this year! ❤
@@creatinga_happierme Ya, me too! One of these days I'll actually leave California...
I wish you took them out of the bag so we could see the colors.
You’re absolutely right, I’m sorry about that.
Oh my favorite is that pink and white one!
Can I ask please, did you make any adjustments to the cardigan from what you've done so far? I am asking because I clicked on the link you provided (thank you for doing that) but when I looked at their pictures it looked quite different from yours, and while theirs was nice as well it looked more gappy/holey with the linen stitch that they used whereas yours looked like more filled in stitches if that makes sense, and I kind of liked how yours looked more than the original pattern, so I wanted to ask if you'd done anything differently? If not and if you did also use the linen stitch could it be because you double stranded perhaps? Is there another stitch that you could recommend that I could use instead, in order to have a less holey looking cardigan? I really like the shape of theirs and think they did the sleeves really well, and the overall construction is quite good, but I'd just like to have a more filled in look without the gaps, so if you can suggest anything I'd be very grateful! Thanks :)
Hi! I double checked the link I posted, just in case. I so far have done exactly as the pattern has stated, with the exception of double stranding fingering weight, which is supposed to be equivalent to DK. I did see what you were mentioning though. I’m not sure if it’s my tension, or the fact it’s not being worn. Now I’m curious how it will be on. I did choose this because I wanted a closer knit stitch. The only other stitches I would recommend are single crochet or half double, to be tighter. I will definitely keep you posted on this one! Let me know what you find.
Oh how wonderful, what a fantastic birthday present to actually find the yarn that you wanted to find, that's amazing, I'm so thrilled for you!! I'm just ecstatic that you were able to track it down when it seemed like a hopeless situation at first, what a wonderful outcome!! I will definitely look at the pattern for it and can't wait to see it completed. I think I like the anticipation of a progression of videos showing different things from start to finish but segmented, so not everything all together, builds the anticipation too! All those blankets sound so fun, and the pumpkin house with the witches legs, I can't, stop it!!! Too much fun, aren't people so creative and inventive, that should be submitted to a show of some kind, wonderful! We just recently had an event here that's held every year called the Royal Adelaide Show and there are several different pavilions in the showgrounds where you can look at all kinds of things. My favourite one has glass cabinets that have a selection of things, cakes that are decorated, embroidery, knitted items and crocheted ones too, and I saw the most wonderful things there and took some photos for inspiration. Something like your pumpkin house would win first prize I'm sure! I can imagine a fun pair of slippers using some of the elements from the house, wouldn't that be fun!?? I will keep tuned for continued updates on all the wonderful things you're making and couldn't be happier about the yarn find, I am sure you feel the same! How did you obtain it in the end, how was it that someone had it available for you to purchase?? Must find out the rest of the story!! :) I know you said that you got it on eBay but was it someone who stocks discontinued yarn specifically, how did you track it down? I'd love to find out the full story of your search!
That sounds so fun! Thank you for sharing ♥️
Happy birthday, Diana! 🥳🥳🥳 Oh, love that pumpkin house, SO cute! 😂
Thank You!
Happy birthday! Glad you're having fun with blankets.
Thank you! 😊
Happy Birthday Diana! Beautiful colors andnpattern. Thanx for sharing. 🎉❤
Thank you! 🤗
Hi Diana! Wow, I did not know it was your Birthday today, but so so happy I am your first comment here and wishing you your HAPPY BIRTHDAY on here today! Awesome yarn, wow, so pretty. I also have eBay shop, feel free to check it out if you wish. Aww, so sweet they give extras, I also (give) extras at times. Wow, I really love your WIP, thanks again for sharing updates! Hope you have a beautiful rest of your week and hope you got all you wanted and more on your SPECIAL day today! Love / Hugs!
I will definitely check out your shop! Thank you!
Hi there, just wanted to check in and see how your search is going? I keep wondering and checking in. Also, I know you were doing this video to ask for our help but if you get a moment I'd love it if you could link the video/pattern that you used for this cardigan, and any adjustments you were making, that would be wonderful please! I am really interested in how it comes together and can relate to taking inspiration but making some changes along the way to suit your personal taste as well. I really hope you get to finish it! 🤞🏻
I have an update I’ll be posting tonight! I’ll add the pattern as well 😊
@@creatinga_happierme So excited! I just saw that there is a new update video, fantastic!! I'm going to put the kettle on (I'm in Australia where that's how we boil our water for hot beverages!) I'm going to make a nice hot cup of tea and sit down to watch the update!! :)
I would search on Etsy, ravelry, eBay, and just the Internet as a whole (in that order) using the exact name you put here. You'd be surprised at what's out there that could be exact. If you can't find any and choose to color block, use the search term - substitution for *name of yarn* which would give you similar yarn choices so the look and feel of the color blocking area is the same. Would it work to make it a vest or a short sleeve cardigan instead? Or maybe just color block half the sleeve?
❤
