I did the Alphubel, Taeschhorn, Dom traverse (old, slow person style). I was amazed to see him skipping and jumping along the Domgrat which to me was crazy scary. Gorgeous. But yeah, the editing was a bit over the top. :p
For anyone else who also hated the Michael Bay style cuts, here's a better 25-minute version with slightly less cuts: ua-cam.com/video/n8WeZOG4JoU/v-deo.html
@@thatfriggingbathroom2656 you wanker..... you pissing about the editing and not mentioning the phenomenal running ?? you probably couldn't run a bath!
Great achivement, but the editing sucks! This aint a Jason Bourne fight scene ffs! Could one please do a better job with the original material to live up to this outstanding traverse? I´d watch a at least 20-30 Movie!
Its not like he's taking a jog through a city park... What I'm saying is the video just skips around way to much. I wanna take my time to watch him clamber the slopes without hittin' the pause every 1.32sec.
@@westxtsew definitely. The problem is that the video is too short. Have you seen the video of Kilian Jornet 35+ run? It's awesome, he recorded it during the midnight sun in Finland?
I did four 4000 mtr peaks with 64 km distance and a total gradient gain of 2500 mtrs of first peak and an average of 800 mtrs for the rest of peaks, covered atleast 7 alpine lakes in around 18 hrs and I know I can do that in 13 hrs
can you say what the starting elevation was at each one of the mountains I'm guessing 6 - 7000 feet beginning Heights for each one are all the mountains close to each other
well in the description it says that he ran 30,66km in 7h and 45min However the title states that he ran five 4000m mountains in 7h and 45 min and that would equal a minimum of (4000*2)*5 = 40000m = 40km, and that would be at a 90° Angle (which would be impossible), so I doubt he ran five 4000m peaks up and down ... So I'd guess he "only" ran across five 4000m peaks, ...
Irritating filming. Cutting scenes repetitively makes it hard to register what one is looking at and indicates that those editing are more interested in showing how they can cut film into small pieces and stick it back together.
@@KP-jp9gv Sure, well dying is also a skill then since these guys die all the time. It's completely idiotic They can slip and fall at any moment when running. To free climb solo is smarter then this, you work with your arms and legs to get stability. When running it's very easy to slip or trip on a stone.
Yea a lot of trail runners will still bring like a 5mm rope for glacier travel. It's condition dependent of course, maybe these glaciers dont develop crevasses very often, but yea he could be a lot safer with some basic rescue gear for maybe 1kg more weight

The editing is so overwrought and self-indulgent it puts the athlete and his accomplishment in the background.
its like tv programs in usa
Jesus hell shut that exasperating music off it’s giving me a hard attack. Hiking is a calming thrill
It would have been nice to see some longer shots, very frustrating to see so many quick snap shots
Wow... I can only imagine myself rolling down the mountain.. Lol
so may quick cuts, im interested in the content but I HATE the video.

I'm with you. Great effort, some good shots but the editing and tge music are awful. Could have been good, what a shame.
Agreed. This is plenty awesome without the nonsense editing.

Isto é uma Ultra Trail Extrema! Tirei o chapéu!
Que viaje fui longe muito show parabéns .
Wow, this is grazy
some statistics would be very interesting for me. How many KM/KCAL/Water/Nutrition....
Bravo est ce tentant?!!courage, prets a applaudir. Bises
The Editing doesn't do the trek full justice. I mean people make a full movie on one peak such as Mt.Everest

this isn't a man...it's part mountain goat and machine
could somebody explain me where the trail goes on at 2:14 ? ^^
well done Andreas Steindl !!!
Better late than never.
It's, I think, part of the short ridge that leads to Lenzspitze from Lenzjoch (AD-/ZS-).
They´re taking hobbits to Isengard, wait wat ?
goddamnit - this guy is a bad ass. the REAL deal
Brave or maybe just stupid.
Well done mate .

WOW Respect
imagine being at the top with rope and some runner comes up out of nowhere in training tights, and then leaves.
is he putting crampons on for some of this? the editing is so choppy i can only see a camp corsa
Damn! You're the Man bro!
That is insane!

awesome!!!

It's a chain some traverses are basically just a ridge with some slight up and down.
And I thought the Berkeley hills were tough
The video equivalent of a 6th grade power point presentation
go ahead

no one said he went back to the sea in between every mountain

Wow, the fast editing really ruined it.
love the challenge, hate the editing.
Until Kilian comes along then......😉
Worst music choice ever.
I suggest all of you to play it with Two steps from hell's "Strenght of a Thousand Men" in backround
