I know this is way late, but I just wanted to tell you that this is the most complete and totally helpful video I have ever watched. I have learned a lot from UA-cam, but this video is the best! Thank you for showing me how to make this brand new to me Granny Square.
You are one of the best crochet instructors on You Tube. The way you demonstrate working each stitch is so precise ,clear and simple to understand. I love this unique corner granny square and the beautiful shades of yarn used. It is absolutely amazing. Thank you Glenda for sharing your expertise with all of us.
I love love the Daisy Corner popcorn Square. I love the way you teach, I can follow so well, your a great teacher. I am going to crochet the Granny Square. I followed you to the end. Now I will come back and make the Granny Square. You made it so easy to follow you on the popcorn stitch. I'm so happy I found you. Thank you so much.
Thank God I found someone who explains very well I live in Australia and from today I will continue to see all your I work because my insentivas your English is understood very well I speak Spanish Eternal agrdesida. Congratulations Patricia
I have lost a lot of my confidence to crochet until I came across the excellent teaching I discovered by accident on Creative Grandma. Honestly, I feel as though I could do just about any pattern she demonstrates because she is so clear and makes it easy to follow the correct procedures, noting where potential mistakes lie and how to check your work along the way. Her pacing is perfect and I'm ready to tackle crocheting once again. Thank you for your patience with those of us who lack adequate experience and knowledge.
At last a crochet teacher who shows the part that we are crocheting as we go...I am an advanced crocheter....50 yrs.experience so not so interested in how one does the stitch but where I am in the pattern. I frequently do not use the same colour scheme therefore it is important to know if I am starting a leaf, flower petals etc....creative grandma does this. Thank you for your lessons.
Thank you Glenda. You are my hero. I'm suffering from brain fog and need your very clear instructions so that I may still crochet even though I've crocheted for many years. 😘
Hi granny I haven’t crocheted since I was twenty a school friend’s mum showed me how to do it at 18, and at twenty I made a blanket for a baby crib, but now at sixty I couldn’t remember how to get started, your instructions were really easy you are good teacher the flower pattern is simple they so beautiful your very clever I will watch some more for sure xx
My nana has recently gone in to a nursing home and hasnt got any nice blankets with her, im making her this blanket in pink and purples her favourite colours. Can't wait to see her face when she opens it
I just love the colours of the wool they are lush and have a shine with them.... the tutorial is great and easy to follow can’t wait to have a go at this pattern 😊
Right??!!! Caron has a peacock variegated yarn that i absolutey love. I have made cowls, gloves, shawls and scarves from it. I think I will utilize that into this pattern. I have three skeins of it. Just need to get the other solid color yarns to compliment it.
@April Lee Booth-You are welcome! Joann carries it. Sometimes Michaels has it depending on the store. Some of the Michaels stores yarn selections are larger than others. Here is a link to YarnSupply for the peacock yarn so you can see it. I can't seem to buy this on Joann website as they dont' have it available. So I usually get it from here or go instore to my local Joann. www.yarnsupply.com/294009-9015.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6NjNBRDKARIsAFn3NMop9Yx8g8QWJRyQG1uTZeqctETreyxUD8-79JkL1IRV-RXzZAXTsbYaAojzEALw_wcB
I really like your pattern! I do find that I prefer the traditional popcorn stitch, that keeps the last loop of each stitch on the book until the 5th one, then pull through all stitches to close. I didn't even know the popcorn variation you show existed, but when I Google it, I find about half the instructions use your variation! Live and learn! I do like this daisy in the corner! Thanks for sharing your talent.
I love the pop corn dazy squares.. l think that's the one l'll use for my Chrismas present's.. Thank you for your great tutorials... l haven't crocheted in quite a few years, so this is a great way to start..🙋♀️💜🙋♀️
I am now crocheting your no border cotten towel with topper. It's a fun pattern. Can't wait until it's finished. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Your video is very nice. Your lighting is perfect, the focus is excellent, your speaking is crisp and clear, and your work is beautiful. Thank you so much for all your hard work making this video.
Hi Glenda,l was looking for an idea to make an Afghan for a young girl of 13 yrs,and found you had this one, this is ideal thanks so much, love the popcorns, xxxx
Fantastic tutorial - so easy to follow! To be extremely economical of yarn, I reverse the right/wrong sides when doing the daisy 'petals' and only do 4 trebles. Then I reverse the sides again and the natural inclination of the 'wrong side stitches' of the petals makes them pop up. "She's just saving the yarn used in one tiny stitch!" you say. Correct. Now multiply that by the number of blocks you're making. Sweeeeet!
you give clear instructions with wonderful detail. this is my first granny square. I learned a lot. Thank you so much for this tutorial. would you mind sharing a written pattern if its available??
I don't come across too many tutorials that are very detailed with regards to the pattern design; until I found "Creative Grandma" UA-cam channel. Thank you so much for all the wonderful tutorials. Happy crocheting!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the colours you chose, and the blue one. No offense to the original pattern, but I saw it and did not really like the colours. I did not really imagine we could make it look that beautiful with different colours. Fantastic and thanks for sharing. I love listening to you as well.
