    Can you clean your brush afterwards with soap and water. I have the liquitex gloss varnish but am yet to try it?🤗

    • @GiavannaDesigns
      @GiavannaDesigns  2 роки тому +1

      You can, but it's not easy. They never really come clean. I would suggest that you dedicate a few brushes for only for vanishing

    Hello do you need to apply isolation coat with the liquitex varnishes?

    • @GiavannaDesigns
      @GiavannaDesigns  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Eddy! No isolation coat needed unless you are using pigments that are water based, because they can bleed... in which case, you just isolate with a spray varnish first and then you can go ahead with this technique

    Can you remove bubbles with a heat gun instead of a torch?

    • @GiavannaDesigns
      @GiavannaDesigns  2 роки тому

      Some ppl will say yes, but to be honest, even though technically you can, you shouldn't. The torch uses the flame to pop the bubbles very quickly. The heat gun takes a lot longer to pop the bubbles and that extended time of heating the paint causes a skin to form which will make the paint dry bumpy or uneven or break up as it dries. 💗

    I wish I could see your video yesterday.. I shake the varnish i get 1000 of air bubbles..tried to pop them..burned my canvas..one day before my first exhibition 😩😩

    • @GiavannaDesigns
      @GiavannaDesigns  11 місяців тому +1

      OH NO! I'm so sorry thai happened to you! Congratulations on your exhibit though! I really wish that I could get my work displayed publicly. You should be very proud of that! Idk if the exhibit is today or tomorrow, but if it's tomorrow... you could possibly try lightly sanding the burned varnish off, cleaning it really, really well with alcohol and then a wipe with a damp cloth to get the alcohol off, and then varnish again. I'm not sure that it will work bc idk how badly it's burnt, but it's worth a shot! Good luck!!!💗

      @@GiavannaDesigns sorry my question was inappropriate,I m beginner who was looking for Glosy resin like effect on canvas painting,and. Found high gloss varnish as my choice but I don't have torch can I do it in good way without bubble

    • @GiavannaDesigns
      @GiavannaDesigns  3 роки тому

      Unfortunately not. If you spray alcohol to get rid of the bubbles, the varnish will not dry evenly glossy. Your best bet would be to buy a spray varnish. That way you get the glossy topcoat without the bubbles. It's thinner and takes more product, so it's more expensive though, just FYI.💗

    • @GiavannaDesigns
      @GiavannaDesigns  3 роки тому

      Hi Marcia!
      My whole household is healthy again except for me. This is lingering on much longer than I expected. I'm doing OK though...I just finished up my steroids and I'll be done with the antibiotics in a few days. I'm just extremely fatigued and I still can't taste or smell anything, which is the strangest side effect!!! It really is such an odd experience! But other than that, I'm hanging in there. Hoping to be able to start filming again in a day or two. And I have a big collab coming up, so stay tuned!
      You are so sweet to check in on me! Thank you so much for your kindness.
