I always leave the drain valve cracked just a little bit while I run mine, keeps from building up any moisture. Consumes very little air but keeps the tank as dry as it can be.
That's a great idea. I was thinking of swapping to a different drain valve that would have a bigger drain hole since this one is really small.
Try out an auto drain available at Castair they ship same day and save on the extra electric bill from running your compressor with the drain open!
@@jjsteen99 I'll look into it. I was thinking of changing my drain anyways because it doesn't open much to begin with.
Also the oil looked surprisingly clean for such an old machine. Looks to be in good shape!
