@@jaredscott4829?? you have never driven this car I guarantee you. This is the funniest car I’ve ever had in my life in the canyons. It’s absolutely track beast.
I know this is an old video, but you asked about insurance. The funny thing is, with most cars like this, they are rarely driven. My insurance (2-018 4c) was less than our 2019 Nissan Rogue, and less and our 2019 Mercedes convertable. Insurance companies don't think you are going to drive this. so statistically the risk is low.
@Sunamer Z That is because insurance companies have actuarial tables for every car. They know the odds, which translates as loss & accident rates, based on prior history. Some very sporting cars are mainly owned by men over 50 who drive them not only rarely, but responsibly. The 4C is not usually driven by 20-somethings.
You did an excellent review. I was so enthralled with it I didn't realize that I spent over a half an hour watching it. You are the first reviewer to tell me things that I actually want to know about a car. You did not simply recite specs and stats. Thanks for the great job. Also, the photography was perfect.
As I consider a 4C purchase, I've watched many video reviews of the car and yours is the best by a wide margin. Thanks for the time and consideration you put into it.
I bought a coupe one and added it to my early boxster and early MX 5 fleet. This car is the most fun to drive. I'm happy to leave it in auto mode and normal setting and drive it on the torque curve. So far I've done 4k km and averaged 6.6 l/100km.
@@papatorr3669. More to the point, compare this car to a current generation Miata, the ND2 with upgraded powertrain and everything else. My 2019 Sport is 100 lb. lighter than the U.S. version of the carbo/aluminum 4C. The 4C is a bit faster, but since it’s priced the same as TWO Miatas, this means the current Miata, with its excellent 6-speed, can have its engine and suspension tuned to the owner’s exact specs by the huge aftermarket for a fraction the Alfa’s $32k premium.
@@johntechwriter Sold the NA and keep meaning to sell the 986 2.7 manual. Have a Z3 3.0 that I prefer to the NA, and a 986.2 3.2 liter manual that I prefer to the 2.7. I don't imagine that the RX-8 is the best handling of my cars, which include three E46, but it may be my favorite and 'funner' than an NA, NB, or NC to me on twisty mountain roads. 😁
I have watched a lot of your reviews and this one is special, not just because you’re reviewing a special car, because you’re also revealing something personal. I love that about you!
Bought my 2015 LE new.....couple of mild mods....replace rubber bushing in rear lower triangle with uniballs (huge improvement on track with stickier tires), better tires (the stock PZeros are crap and emphasize tramming), good alignment with 0 front toe. The car has been bullet proof and no issues at all other than a broken button when new replaced on warranty. Insurance is not expensive...in same range as my Ford 150 transit van and GMC Acadia Denali. I have owned a lot of cars including a 1970 ALFA duetto that I owned for over 40 years and only sold to gain garage space for the 4C. I also had a 67 ALFA GTV SCCA road racer. I love this 4C and every time I drive it I love it more. Mine isn't a daily driver but does get driven frequently although not in our Michigan Winters for obvious reasons. I am 72 years old, 6'-1" and 155#.....and very fit. I have no problem getting in or out of the car and once inside find it very comfortable although of course not big American car soft. Even though it has the optional race suspension it still rides fine....actually better than several other cars I have owned. I did find that adjusting the seat to the middle position on the front and lowest in the back gave a much more comfortable position and lets me see the entire dash display clearly. There are several aftermarket suppliers of upgrades for the car and with a couple of them the car becomes a real track monster.
@@hertzair1186 Good for you! Enjoy your boring 911. I had two different model year 911s and a 987s and 981s.. The 4c is no comparison in regards to fun and a pure driver experience.
I agree with what being said here. I own a 4C and I'm very happy about it. This is not a car for every day commuting. In fact it's like owning a motorbike (for instance Yamaha R1...), you use this car for road trips during the weekend with your friends. I live close to the Alps and here we have the perfect roads for this car! It is a lot of fun to drive it in the turns! Of course, if you have straight roads and boring landscapes, then this car isn't that appealing...it is actually uncomfortable and noisy!
Hello, 4C owner as well here. Insurance cost isn't anything remarkable. I drive mine to the office about 30-40% of the time. I have a 2017 Miata for "daily" use otherwise, but put 10k miles on my 4C in a year.
Wow, three owners here. The reference to this car being like a bike grabbed me. I love sport bikes. I recently however purchased a Mustang and like many Gearheads found myself in forums talking about the car. I found myself really annoyed with the community. Comments about the seats or the infotainment system or the ambient lighting. Coming from the sport bike community these things seemed unimportant, at least to me. When you're on a bike you sacrifice many things such as comfort and safety and infotainment systems and leather seats. It's a focused experience with Purity to it. Now I understand people caring about their leather and infotainment systems, not so much in a Mustang though since that car is a massive compromise just like a bike. I'm thinking the 4c embodies the things I seem to care about.
In 1968 my first car was a 40hp, Triumph TR-4. Shit reliability. Would push start it, (while parallel parked…SERIOUS) and the canvas top rained on you when it was closed. LOVED THAT CAR.. SO FUN TO HEAR THAT MOTOR AND SHIFT THOSE gears. Second car was a rusted out 1960(s) straight six with a granny low gear. I loved those cars. They were fun and freedom…. LOVED THEM.
I don't subscribe to many youtube channels, but this dude is on my list. I enjoy his deadpan delivery, no BS style, and super clean editing. It's nice and downtempo without being boring. It's... you know, it reminds me of old Top Gear. Very relatable.
You hit the mark on every level with this review of the 4C. It took me quite some time to adjust to my car and to learn to drive it. Now that I've had it for a year, I love this car. It makes me feel exactly the way you say it does. The only thing that I disagree on is the dual clutch. I love the gearbox and I'm happy to say goodbye to a manual gearbox. I truly believe once a car is capable of rapid acceleration/speed like the 4C then a dual clutch is the only way to go. A manual gearbox is not only slower for a normal car but it would be even slower in this car which defeats the purpose and philosophy of the car.
This review has a no nonsense approach with good information resulting in a pleasant style that's easy and enjoyable to watch. savagegeese's are among the best if not the best car review videos I've come across on UA-cam.
We just bought one 3 weeks ago and already put 3,000 miles on it. It's awesome. We also have a Lotus Elise and a 2016 MX-5 and this is so much fun. Don't understand all the hate for the non-stick shift thing. This is the first non-stick shift car we've owned and we love it. Oh and insurance. It's $1k/year. That's it.
I also have a 2017 MX5 (manual) and the 4C and I agree - the 4C's transmission doesn't make me miss the manual. The BMW DCT I had however, made me regret buying a DCT.
MarkR171 What model BMW did ypu have the DCT in? Have you gone to the BMW dealership, and have the Engine ECU & Transmission ECU updated recently? Theyre continually making updates and improvements to the way the DCT behaves. As of now, the updates to an original non-updated Car, makes a Night & Day difference. For any 7Spd DCT Car, M-car or not. Big difference!!!
SavageGeese --- One of the best in-depth car review channels in my opinion.. Why you dont have at leasttt 500k+ Subscribers is beyond me... So everyone that enjoys these reviews and video, please spread the word!!!!!
Yep, it's one of the reasons they went up. The TypeR concept was fun then and still is now, it just does not seem to fit into the regulations or commercial landscape any more.

As a 4C owner, I thought this was an excellent review and hits on many points. :-). I know you make light of a purported lack of top end power, but keep this in mind... This engine is conservatively tuned from the factory and is easily capable of over 300WHP with a tuned ECU clone. I think that Alfa had planned to make a 300HP QV version but they scrapped the idea. I think the car has plenty of power in stock form for me when driving on the street and is faster than my old Z4M, which was a beast in its own right.
superchan7 Insurance varies greatly depending on region and driving history. But I will say that compared to my Z4M, my insurance only went up by $30 a month.
superchan7 I pay $500 a month but I also have my 335I on my policy which I use as a daily driver, and I live in Miami insurance here is expensive as it is. So I’m guessing in a normal area insurance on the 4c could be around $2400 a year or less
I have never heard complaints of the power in the 4c . Seems balanced and fast and I love it. Most fears come from reliability. I have had cars with reported reliability issues and not had a problem. (2014 sho with 120 k ). My wife’s car.
For a long, long time Alfa was known for the problems affecting its cars. When Fiat came, it loose almost all of its charm and fame. But I am happy they now show the world they still know how to make real cars...I'm for the BMW experience, but I understand perfectly the 4C way of life...Great review, as usual.
Saw one of these 2 weeks ago. HEARD it. WANTED it. But in RED, obviously. It could be the father of my child in red. But in reality.... probably best to lease because you will either tire of it or marry it, and the maintenance would be a nightmare. I can't imagine the pain of actually owning that car outright. The crazy thing is - It's a baller car for driving on public roads, except for when there is anyone else around. It's not really a race car or a GT car. I just can't see the appeal of it beyond the visceral joy of driving it flat out and working that manuel steering rack. For all of the 20 seconds you will be able to drive before some cow in a SUV/CUV/Brodozer decides to camp out in front of you. Then you'll be leaving the happy zone. Great video, and thanks for putting in the time to make it!
I wished the tester was red like in the track test, looks so good. It could also be the father of my baby but I guess that would be LGBT and then people would discriminate against it. I think a 2 year marriage then divorce would work with this 4C if you don't get killed by a brodozer. Glad you enjoyed this one.
8 years later, this car is surprisingly reliable and surprisingly easy to work on, for a mid engined vehicle. Doesn't look like any stupid engineering stuff was made. I don't know what it's like to own for somebody who doesn't turn a wrench, but it's relatively a simple layout. Cheap to insure, as well.
I love this review. The music and the visuals. Gently grabbing you and not letting go. A sense of mystery, as if their about to tell you a great secret. As if they going to tell you that unicorns are real. But when they show you, or better yet, when you actually drive it, you realize its a damn pegassus. All you can really do is accept it, and enjoy you even had the chance. Its hopeless to try to fight the feeling. It will make you smile. I drove a 4C a few months back. I dont own one either. But it truly is special. I cant shake the feeling.
just rented one this past weekend... one of the best funnest cars I've ever driven. I want to buy one now. And yes...definitely no music when you can hear that little engine roar all day

UA-cam commenters generally just rag on people but I wanted to let you know that you do some outstanding work. Seriously amazing. And as your homie 2pac would say, you are appreciate. Thank you
Here after Alfa announced it's cancellation... Mark was absolutely right! Not having a manual in such a barebones driver-centric car was eventually it's undoing. It was so beautiful and could've been a niche favorite for driving enthusiasts like the Miata or the Civic Type R if only it came with a stick. Oh well...
There's something special about your reviews. It's your intentionality, monolithic themes and balance that make your reviews so unique. I have watched your e92 m3 review 3 x and continue benefiting from it. It has made me want to buy one. About the Alfa? Would you consider buying a fiat X1/9 and restoring it instead? Lot of fun. Related parties and goals.
+Jonathan Reed Restoring a vehicle takes a special person in terms of patience, money and time, also passion if you don't love the car it can be hard. That said there is something special about some of these older vehicles that's lacking and so many modern cars. The 4Cs specifically has a lot of old charm but missed the mark on some of the fundamentals. I'm glad that you get some of the videos and understand them
I hear ya - I just love to drive. I grew up driving my Dad's '83 Rabbit GTI all over the place, and as thrilling as some of the other cars I've driven have been... all I really want to do is drive that GTI again. Really enjoying the channel lately - your attention to detail is awesome!
I am told I cannot sell the house but I love this car. Funny when I started watching this I was reminded of the Atom and you had mentioned it. It looks so fun so attractive in design, I am wowed. I also wanted to mention your video, that overhead shot at about 30 seconds in is beautiful. There should be awards, your videos are really some of the best for car reviews.
At 19:45, the way you describe the feeling driving the 4C is almost exactly how I feel behind the wheel of my ND Miata. I also sometimes decide to forgo music, just to enjoy the drive more, listening instead to the engine and the rush of air whizzing by my head. It’s amazing, and addictive.
You guys should know. I have the second day of a course tomorrow and it's Midnight but I'm going to watch your review because you are always high quality and I love this car. Respect Luv and Peace.
Just when I thought you guys got tired of using the funny pronunciations.... Scott said "carbon fye-bree" and I couldn't stop laughing. Love it! And on a more serious note, I am disappointed along with most others that this car has no manual transmission option. Love the in-depth review, as always.
As an owner, I can second your thought on the traffic. It is down right horrible to sit in traffic with the 4C. Not only all your said, but the dual clutch just really hates going 0 to 10 to 0 for 2 hours and it lets you know. All and all good review!
I love it! We own a little Dodge Dart, only 160hP dual clutch transmission, that thing is so much fun as is. I can only imagine what the 4C does. My wife is not a fan of Manuals so the limited was a compromise. I do have to say that having the dealers work on it has been a nightmare, okay if they charge for fixing it and fixed it, but they do not, at least 2 dealers here in Austin, Texas, are not good at all, Dual Clutch Transmission are simply a manual with two clutch disks for odd an even gears, with a transmission controller doing all the shifting, which at 30 k miles need n adjustment. Well, the module is smart but not smart enough to realize you still have plenty of clutch disk material to use and it throws the error to get it serviced. When you do, these knuckled making money heads, will drop the transmission at your cost, even when still under warranty, and charge you for parts. Easily a $4k job.when it should not. I am a little smarter than most, in the sense that I hate it when people take advantage of me and cheap enough to want to research a new route. Turns out that I could get the dealers obd2 tools and do the work myself and it ended up figuring out how to re train the transmission for a third round of 30k miles. I know the 4C has the same transmission, which is really robust but be aware of dealer ignorance and fraud. at 30k you should not have to replace the transmission clutch assembly. For more info, feel free to contact me via UA-cam.
Guys this was a great review, so down to earth and honest, I would really love to see you review the new Alpine A110 especially as a comparison to this car... I believe they have a lot in common, but would the A110 be easier to live with... or shall I call it a broader operating envelope to appeal to more drivers/users.
Drove one today. A true manual tranny and another 500-1,000 revs would make it perfect. As it stands, I give it a 9/10. Remember your first roller coaster ride? You jump off grinning ear to ear sprinting to get back in line. That's the feeling I had, and not many cars provide that feeling. It's a loud and noisy and stiff and uncompromising experience and I love it.
Love your reviews savagegeese. I like that you test cars and cover aspects that a normal person would consider unlike 99% of the reviewers out there on YT. Really enjoyed your review on the FRS and I absolutely agree with everything you said, I have one right now as my DD and it sucks. Hope that you can do a review on the new 6th gen Camaro SS. It's a car that I'm seriously considering and would love to hear your perspective on it. Cheers,
What makes this channel stand out is your excellent audio/video, technical knowledge, and putting cars up on the rack to show underneath. Unfortunately Scott is the reason I rarely come back.
I bought a Spider (in Rosso Alfa) in January and watched every review I could find before deciding. The decision was tough because it meant giving up a Lotus Elise I had for 7 years. While your overall conclusion does not differ much from other reviewers, your emphasis on what matters in a car built purely for performance does. One thing I am curious of though is if your test cars had the "Track Suspension" that is susceptible to unexpected tramming at high speeds. For me this effect results in an uneasiness driving at speed on imperfect road surfaces. Many change this by adjusting the camber from the factory setup which tends to be too agressove for some. This was not an issue with the Lotus. It does need a manual trans though, but sadly can't ever happen due to the carbon fiber monocoque.
Some mistakes... According to the chief engineer, the carbon fiber frame of the windshield at the spider isn't for stiffness, but to improve vibrations of the windshield. The bottom air intake at the left is for cooling the gear box. The front isn't closed "empty space", but for cooling and electronics.
+Martin Hiltmann The video shows the lower cooling port, which is indeed the gearbox air chamber but narration says passenger side vent for intake which ia correct. The faux hood is closed and inaccessible service is done from undermeath the vehicle. The carbon frame was added for structural rigidity, which can be used to control vibration as well.
+savagegeese hi, wasn't ment to be offending. I do own the 4c Spider, love it, and sometimes I get the impression, it's the most misunderstood and misinterpreted car currently on the market. My personal highlight is a press article from a well known german magazin, claiming to feel the steering becoming harder defined instantly in dynamics and race mode, and softer in normal and all weather. Reg. the windshield - as far as I've learned - there was no need for more stiffness, as the roof of the coupe isn't so important. Alfa added some layers to the carbon fiber body structure on some positions in order to keep the spider stable, one of the reasons for the add. weight compared to the coupe. Many of the first reviews in my opinion didn't even had a chance to feel the full potential, as I got the impression (and was told), there is a kind of protection mode for the first few hundred km programmed, cutting down the engines output for smooth running in the engine. Greetings!
@@martinhiltmann1226 Yeah, the CF windshield frame is there precisely because it is stronger than the metal one, which was surrounded by CF structure, used in the Coupé.
Lifting these cars with a regular two-post lift is quite a chore. At the front, you place the lift pads (the soft, round style) directly on the carbon tub. At the rear you place those same style pads on the two corners of the subframe that sit just in front of the rear suspension. Lastly, you have to adjust the height of each pad so all 4 make contact at the same time. Most lift arms will not fit under it, so you typically need go-jacks raise the whole car up and give you the clearance you need to swing the arms under. Finally, because of the unusual weight distribution, these things wobble a ton on our two-post lifts. Once it's up in the air where we need it, we place a padded screw jack under the rear subframe to stabilize it. So yeah, it's a pain.

This is the second video of yours i've watched, well this is really what i consider a carvlogging brought up to the next level, where expertise has the main role. Subscribed. True congrats, keep it up.
By the way, i'd like to point that the 1.75L engine actually doesn't come out of the blue, it's a reboot of a 60s/70s engine of the same capacity which made Alfa's fortune in many competitions those days. The Giulia GTA Sprint is the most famous i guess, there's a huge owners club here in Europe. That engine became a true icon for a couple of decades even in its stock version for its unique, distinctive sound, its power, not even need to turn your head and look, when you heard it from the distance you knew it was coming, 0% mistake rate. It was mounted on countless saloon model, Police cars included. I'm in my mid 40's and that sound is stuck in the memory of my own, my father's and my grand father's generations of Italian car enthusiasts.
Fantastic video review! I'm looking at getting a 4C next year and this answered a lot of questions and gave me new insights. I enjoyed the camera work in the beginning, nicely done!
Hi guys, big fan of your videos, as they are some of the best ones around. Highly-polished, very in-depth, and a great technical overview. I am commenting on this video because I also got curious about the carbon fiber tub and how much it would cost to insure the car. I paused the video and called my insurance company (ended up waiting 20 minutes on an "expected 6 minute wait time." I asked the agent to give me a quote on a 2018 Alfa Romeo 4C coupe just to see, and I had her use the same policy settings I have on my other cars so that I have a good reference point. The quote for a 6-month policy was $611. As a reference, I have a 2014 Mustang GT that costs me $730~ and a 2016 Miata that costs me $450~ for that 6-month period. Not bad at all, huh? Cheaper than my Mustang, how odd! I am going to call tomorrow morning and go to the claims department and ask to speak to an adjuster. Going to ask about how they handle repairs on such a car in a major crash.
I got very busy but I did get a hold of an adjuster. The one I spoke with has been doing this over 10 years, and has never heard of this car being in a claim. I guess that's to be expected. They brought up a lot of good points and information, but right now it seems that it boils down to this: the car is still new, and few have probably been in crash claims. Because of the lack of history for such cars, the premium is still reasonable. Since the car is rare regardless, I doubt any one insurance company will ever see so many claims where the cars are totaled that premiums would go much higher.
Just came from the Miata series, loved it. And love both of these cars. They are nearly the same weight and one could argue "ohh but the Miata is cheaper!"... way dif layout design and character! I think what both of them have made is really neat!
Still the best 4C review out there. I love SavageGoose's reviews (some of the best going and very underrated), but the parts with the mechanic make me cringe.
Unique carbon tub (to comply with US crash standards), standard air con, the addition of side and knee airbags and an adjustable passenger seat (again A US requirement) adds up to about 350 lbs of extra weight that the US car has to haul around.
Spyder or Spider originates from coachbuilders in early 1900/the late 1800s when they would build roofless coaches that would sit high off the ground. The high stance of the coach would give it spider-like resemblance, although the days of coach building are long gone the "Spyder" name has still remained.
Sure,Sure,Sure . It would be my third Alfa and they were all lots of fun and as an engineer I appreciated the precision handling not the total power. The itallions are road taxed on engine size so over the years they have built geometrically dynamic combinations.
I realize this is a relatively old video but the subject of insuance came up and many people ask. I bought a 2018 4c last year and my premiums are less than $70 a month.
Mine is $23 a month. Terrible driving record. 28 from Columbus Ohio. I have 3 other cars all in the 5-10k range on my policy too. Cheapest of them all by a mile
+OwnersGen Hasn't gotten old for me yet. But I can't disagree with you on the manual transmission. My other car is an MR2 Turbo so that gives me my manual fix. Yes, I have a sickness in that I own two mid-engined sports cars.

I owned an Ariel Atom for 7 years, and love the Lotus Elise, and would buy a 4C in a minute if it was offered with a manual transmission. I'm hoping Lotus will bring back the Elise with a manual to North America sooner rather than later.
I hope Lotus stays a float and can get their cars to North America. I liked the Atom however it got a little old always having to put on a helmet whenever I got into the car. Would love to buy the current Lotus Exige S with the V6, amazing car. Owned a Porsche Boxster for 10 years and loved it, but it doesn't feel like a Lotus. Very few cars feel as raw as a Lotus.

"at least it's not a CVT."
Subaru left the chat
I still can't believe there's a CVT option for the WRX. Absolutely disgusting
CVT transmissions are odd to me. As a daily driver, they’re 👌 okay. Once I wanna be involved in the drive a DCT or manual is necessary.
Shibe Inu Very disgusting!
Gotta give them props for making a mid-engine layout accessible for maintenance thought.
"You really have to behave with this car" while taking hard turns on public road haha love it
and lol @ turbowski's CVT comment
I bought a coupe one and added it to my early boxster and early MX 5 fleet.
This car is the most fun to drive. I'm happy to leave it in auto mode and normal setting and drive it on the torque curve.
So far I've done 4k km and averaged 6.6 l/100km.
I also have an NA MX5 and the 2.7 986. Helpful comment. I wonder how it compares to the Lotus Elise?
I still want an NC but I got sidetracked with an RX-8 six speed manual for now.
Most fun car ever, I have 8000 miles on my 4C. No problems a all I also have a 911 much more fun to drive the 4C.
You still got it ? Whats maintenance cost, overall satisfaction etc
Bob Livingston : I’d still take a 911
Bought my 2015 LE new.....couple of mild mods....replace rubber bushing in rear lower triangle with uniballs (huge improvement on track with stickier tires), better tires (the stock PZeros are crap and emphasize tramming), good alignment with 0 front toe.
@@Z3sty367I have had no issues... Maintenance costs are minimal
BobsUp83 Insurance?
Also interested in the insurance rates you're paying.
Agree, tried driving to work for a month on the 4c... It was not the greatest experience. But it’s an amazing car and you get a lot of looks.
LOVED THEM.
real enthusiasm, his voice is tense with love. Love it
I throw as many people towards this channel as possible. I comment often, just so nice to see a honest journalist out here.
The insurance for the 4c is cheaper than my Fiesta ST!
This review has a no nonsense approach with good information resulting in a pleasant style that's easy and enjoyable to watch. savagegeese's are among the best if not the best car review videos I've come across on UA-cam.
I don't know what it is, your voice or articulation but yours are by far the best videos I've seen. Thank you
We just bought one 3 weeks ago and already put 3,000 miles on it. It's awesome. We also have a Lotus Elise and a 2016 MX-5 and this is so much fun. Don't understand all the hate for the non-stick shift thing. This is the first non-stick shift car we've owned and we love it. Oh and insurance. It's $1k/year. That's it.
What do you prefer -- the 4C or the Elise?
I also have a 2017 MX5 (manual) and the 4C and I agree - the 4C's transmission doesn't make me miss the manual. The BMW DCT I had however, made me regret buying a DCT.
samo980 q
samo980 Curious about the insurance aspect.. What state do you live in? Clean driving record? Thanks!
We need alfa romeo now, more than ever. Thank you for this review.
"it feels like you are going faster than you are" so its like a 90s honda :D
Yep, it's one of the reasons they went up. The TypeR concept was fun then and still is now, it just does not seem to fit into the regulations or commercial landscape any more.
Old Alfa run of the mill cars had those feeling to.
The Boxer engine Alfasud and Alfa 33 were very fun to drive but also affordable
Thank God I made my mind to buy the car.
Nearly a month now, and yet to turn on the radio lol
Makes daily driving so much fun.
Hahaha a bit hard to believe with your anime profile pic and channel banner, congrats nonetheless!
@@ubayyd Ouch, I 30yo and my bro 42 yo both doctors and watch anime. What's wrong with that ? you shouldn't be such judgmental. Would you like if I judged you unfairly from your profile pic ?
I really wanted one of these cars. Now I simply want to buy something else as a weekend toy. Thank you for the honest review.
I'm thinking of a 4C sometime in the future. How's insurance for yours? Thanks in advance!
superchan7 Insurance varies greatly depending on region and driving history.
Jesus, Eldar. I pay less than 1/3 of that for a 2017 MX5 and the 4C
Man, you guys are simply a gift to youtube and people that are watching you, simply priceless.
You are the best reviewer on UA-cam. Everything is presented from a driver's perspective. Clean clear correct.
BTW I am going to use your quote in upcoming video, you will be paid .37 cents.
Score! That's more than I've made off my UA-cam account!
And yes...definitely no music when you can hear that little engine roar all day
Seen a lot of your reviews and they are allways serious and in great quality. I am considering this Alfa4C and you are probaly the only reviewer that have understood what it’s all abort so thank you. Well done👍🏻
+savagegeese I just wanted to say that after watching this video it dawned on me that you are my favorite reviewers. I sadly went back and watched reviews by you I already watched just because your videos are that good.
I'm glad that you get some of the videos and understand them
Such an excellent reviewer. Love the 4C.
There are tons of videos about this car on UA-cam, and I think this is the best. excellent review.
This is an absolutely excellent video. Easily the best review on UA-cam.

Just when I thought you guys got tired of using the funny pronunciations.... Scott said "carbon fye-bree" and I couldn't stop laughing. Love it! And on a more serious note, I am disappointed along with most others that this car has no manual transmission option. Love the in-depth review, as always.
I just think this car is drop dead GORGEOUS!!!
Man! These videos just keep getting better and better. Best one yet

Best review of this car anywhere. Couldn't agree more.
+Will Spencer Glad it was useful.
Watching this video feels so good
I've seen two at the gym I go to,they're awesome
The sound of that engine & turbo. Fiat Alfa Romeo makes some of the best engine sounds. Love your videos
+savagegeese
hi,
wasn't ment to be offending.
Thanks again Mr Goose,I bought the MX5 rf after your review, and it was awesomeI just traded up to the 2018 4c spyder loaded, and I agree again,I have watched your review several times onthe 4c and you are spot on.Thanks so much for your outstanding and very professional videos please keep up the great work!!!

I think you do some of the best reviews I've seen on UA-cam. not sure why you don't have more subscribers.
Much more prefer this Alfa than new Supra
🤔
Nahhhhh
?
The Alfa has much more soul than the new Supra. But both cars has different target group though.
@@tkangwei True but the Alfa is also in the price bracket of the C8 or a Porsche.
What a great review, you never let us down. Thanks man.
Good to see Road America! I haven't been there since the Mercedes Benz club had there meet there in '79 thanks again.
Still the best 4C review out there. I love SavageGoose's reviews (some of the best going and very underrated), but the parts with the mechanic make me cringe.
why?
This car is seriously awesome.
Apocryphal.
Sure,Sure,Sure . It would be my third Alfa and they were all lots of fun and as an engineer I appreciated the precision handling not the total power. The itallions are road taxed on engine size so over the years they have built geometrically dynamic combinations.
Another awesome review. The way you can articulate the feel of the car is amazing.
I realize this is a relatively old video but the subject of insuance came up and many people ask. I bought a 2018 4c last year and my premiums are less than $70 a month.
What other cars on your policy to keep it so low ?

Mine is $23 a month. Terrible driving record. 28 from Columbus Ohio. I have 3 other cars all in the 5-10k range on my policy too. Cheapest of them all by a mile
Great review! Haven't Seen one this good in ages from you.
Is this you're daily driver?
I agree about the transmission, I would buy one if they made manual.
Coming from a manual purist, the semi automatic manual isn't as bad as you may think.
+mk2mister2 True, but it get old quick. That's why Porsche is bringing it back for the gt3.
+OwnersGen Hasn't gotten old for me yet. But I can't disagree with you on the manual transmission. My other car is an MR2 Turbo so that gives me my manual fix. Yes, I have a sickness in that I own two mid-engined sports cars.
DCT is the best . this car also needs something like a turbo hyabusa motor in it now that would be badass.
mk2mister2 I share your sickness
Great review, and glad to see another interesting car. Keep the interesting cars coming!
new subscriber here....this fellow is 1,000x more interesting - and articulate - then poseurs such as Redline Review, Raiti (or whatever his name is), and Matt Maran. They're all one-in-the-same. This guy's presentation, however, is truly interesting.
Hehe. Mat moron. Hehe.
Props for saying "Alfa Romeo" just like an Italian would!
Thank you Savagegeese for your amazing videos!
This material is just priceless
Excellent review. Truly outstanding.
terrific review , I really enjoy your reviews , so detailed , terrific ...get some more turboski in the reviews
wait? doesnt the 4C use the 1.75 Giulietta QV Engine?!
I am becoming a good fan of your reviews. Very good one!
Great video, I think you were being a bit trivial with the mechanic. The mechanic didn't seem that informed on the vehicle.
Man ,I dont know what your degree is, but your topic really do attractive and interesting without any exaggeration or misleading(eg: Clickbait) .Another answer topic that I think is the review of Subaru WRX "the same old story" 10/10
I drive an ap1 s2000 as a daily. Other than power steering, it has less creature comforts than this 4c. No complaints.
has more storage at least :P
Hey look, a real professional review without all the stupid artificial snark. great job Savage, great fucking job!
Watching these old videos makes me miss the dynamic between you and Scott. Hope he comes back soon!
Bayern 💪🏼... We love to see Gazoo Racing working together with Alfa Romeo and Lotus to make the MR2 2022!
What a beauty and beast!
12:03 This is why Scott has always had trouble getting second dates
I owned an Ariel Atom for 7 years, and love the Lotus Elise, and would buy a 4C in a minute if it was offered with a manual transmission.
I'm hoping Lotus will bring back the Elise with a manual to North America sooner rather than later.
Its funny since you are the target customer, so am I for this car. We'll see on the Elise, I am waiting for Lotus to go under.
Excellent evaluation and articulation. Thank-you.
