not trying to talk shit on anyone in the community or even the game-- in case its not clear enough, my point is just that a game like this isn't meant for everyone. trying to get in without any connections or ties to the community is a BAD IDEA.

This video is actually really interesting to me because the IDEA (emphasis on idea) of a cc game where you and your friends get to come together to tell a story and make cool characters and stuff sounds so cool.
Problem is, I'm not a part of those friend groups, and I don't think I ever will be, so unfortunately I'll never be able to experience those stories first hand, and as you highlighted, just being in the game is not enough.
That being said, I wish they'd do less media bans on these games because I remember watching no2 videos and following along with the games story and it just being so fun I'd love to be able to follow cursed gears story and stuff or even just see gameplay.
But I get it, videos on the game would build interest, more people would want to play it, it's more of a headache all around. Probably better for the devs interest to keep attention at a minimum, just my two cents though.
I don't get the point of even naming a cc game in the first place. Id have it called like "ragoozer tycoon" or something. Why give it a name that would make people wanna play it if ur never dropping it

Closed Community games had only been a thing because of the exploiter problem, I've been saying that the era of CC games should be over due to the removal of synapse.
Y do ppl struggle to grasp the concept of a dev makin a fun game just for their friend group 😭
Because deepwoken is their main project and the friend game is taking a bunch of resources away from it😭

If you want a game with a tight knit community, MAKE IT! If you wanna make your own fucking cursegear go do it yourself. That's what im doing, that's what you should do. If you have a decent computer what's stopping you from learning lua and coding your own game!

its the same reason why public type soul (first released) wasnt as fun as it was supposed to be
as i was saying, type soul is literally just those naruto cc game but bleach. (even the progression are THE same) its supposed to be run by the community (community host events, lores, etcs) and you are playing with YOUR friends and people that you knows that's the reason why its fun
now that they released it to the public (first released) ofc its not going to be as fun as it was in the cc, especially when all they did was just thrown it out in the public, slapped some stuff from the cc while slowly adding stuff from the cc that's ALREADY exists and called it an "update"
these new devs just actually turned it into an actual game instead of a "battleground" where you just queues and fight each other
tbh, looking back at old type soul, it was bad, really bad.
People don't care about most cc games but cursed gear is a bit different because of the devs that work on it
BU as well, you may feel that way but you probably never played Dragon Ball Final Stand or any of snake's other super popular games if you don't see the parallel
Here’s my professional tips for people trying to enjoy/get into CC games like cursed gear & Bleach Ultimate. You’ve got 2 options if you want to not just get in, but have a good time
1. Interact with the public community of whatever public game is adjacent to the game you want to get into. Make friends, connect with others, get involved! If you have the charisma and charm, eventually you’ll be friends with just about everyone in that server (including staff), and then you’ll be in whatever CC game you want to be in! That said, don’t do this just for CC games, because that’s both kind of sad and very shallow.
OR
2. Make your own CC game! 99% of you have the time, go learn to script! Get your friends together and make something that you will all enjoy. And If I’ve learned anything over the years with CC games, is if there’s enough people hyping it up, a lot of devs will just go wave for wave with another game so everyone can experience each other’s games.
u make making friends with all the staff in a server with 100k+ members sound like an easy thing u just kinda do

This is also not to say that people who aren’t charismatic *can’t* get into CC games. I’ve known a lot of people who aren’t the most socially inclined (including myself) who’ve found themselves places in these communities.
Do not take my comment as a “I don’t think you can get in any other way, and anyone who doesn’t do it this way shouldn’t be able to get in” I’m saying this is the reality of how these games work, and if you want to get in and have a good time.
Truly, if it were the way it *should be* people should be able to join on merit, or raffle, etc. and not need to grind 500 years just to catch up, or need several friends to have fun.
I love CC games and the ideas behind them with a passion, and I’d rather they not be the way they are. (Ending my comment here because I don’t know how to further extrapolate the things in my head.)
