Check out Vulfpeck. Their stuff with Antwan especially. Songs like 1612 or Funky Duck are straight up just silly, but the funk is so thick you could age it for a few years and serve it with apple slices and a fine wine. Not a huge fan of their other vocalists, but the rest of their stuff is insane.

Music was so great back then and this was real talent.
I was seven years old and the neighborhood house parties were lit with Brick House, all generations danced together including Grandma & Grandpa.
One of the all time best dance songs ever! Amazing! Timeless. My favorite of theirs. My ex had so much "work" done she was called a "Pre-Fab" House.
Music was never the same after that generation. 2020 and still jammin to this... my dad loved them along with others 🤗
