I cried during Home Sweet Home back in July 2015. They were a big part of my life. From Looks that kill till now. I grew up with them playing and watching them. So it was a very big deal to me.
Yup been a fan of Crue since the early 80s big part of my teenage years !! Home sweet home was on my mix tape, when I was flying back from the middle East in 1991 after the gulf war !!
Love these guys! Total legends off rock! I so admire Mic for having ankylosing spondylitis & he still manages to be able to do what he loves & gives it his all on stage. Great guitarist & a sweet and humble guy.
For all the people who say they look old.... They're all in their mid 50's... If you liked them from the early days, look in the mirror and rethink your words
Anita Luca lol considering the fact that tommy STILL gets drunk and smokes a billion cigs every day im surprised he doesn't look worse, except for a few brief periods of sobriety hes literally been drinking and smoking for 30+years
My first concert, Ozzy/Motley Crue Rosemont Horizon Chicago Illinois 1984. Was a huge Crue fan but to young to go so my brother took me. He had a buddy that worked for Budweiser and he gave us the tickets for the Budweiser Box because no one there liked ozzy or knew who crue was. Never forget it , was an awesome first concert and the Budweiser Box was first class all the way.
nowitsabadtime In those days Motley Crue was just getting started. Went to a concert the next year with a friend. It was Chicago Aragon ball room, I went to see one of my favorite bands called Armored Saint who was opening. Also on the bill was another opening band called Wasp. Head lining the show was a band I'd never heard of called Metallica. This was the ride the lightning tour with Cliff Burton whom I'm glad I got to see. I was changed after Metallica, one of the best live shows I'd ever seen, I was nearing the age of 16 at the time.
tommy loved the fans!! He's a fuck of good guy !!! He's lived how everyone dreamed of, and he was " instrumental" lol..... Every show he waved to fans and juiced up his juice too, he's electric
Have seen them countless times since the mid 80's & I'm proud to be a Cruehead. They went out in style & class. Very proud of all the yrs they've given us.
These guys have balls. It takes alot to call it a day after so many crazy years and say goodbye. I love bands that do that, like 'we're done our work is done, goodbye and peace' unlike so many bands full of old dudes still trying to roll on nostalgia.
1banana2kiwis Dude, fans can't tell them to to keep playing forever. They can do whatever they want. It is not like they just announced that they were quitting and end of story. At least they dedicated almost a year to end it. And they have also been doing this 30 years. It is like saying that Led Zeppelin should've kept playing cause they are The Legends
+1banana2kiwis Considering almost every tour they've done recently has landed them a spot in the top grossing bands of the year, their day was a lot more than 10 years...
He seemed to have a better style or turned it up a notch when the corabi guy was in the band maybe cuz he played to rythm and he could focus on more solos ...
As Mick Mars said, they did not care if Vince could sing, they had a vision and he was key to that vision. He has that trait that makes stars, Charisma. The Crue was an amazing organism. Both times 1 member was not in the band, they sucked. it had to be all four of them and what each individual brought to the show for them to be great. They were original and there will never be another like them. As for their music... it speaks for itself. Some of the greatest tunes of all time came from them. As sad as it is to see it end, they are very smart for doing it. Go out on top and remain legends. Beats limping along becoming a parody of themselves. I think it is the best call to make.
Holden Mcgroine - The lead singers in a lot of the ‘EMO’ band have committed suicide. Being and acting like ‘ elitist dicks’ is what they pride themselves on;it was part of being a ‘Rockstar’ The ‘80 and 90’s were a magical. Hard to explain, they just were. Wish everyone could have been around for it!
sweetpea boop ~ I wish you could have been around, also! Music in the 80’s and 90’s was magical. It’s hard to explain... But, I wish I could go back and do it again. I attended at least one concert a month. Most of the time even more. And, if I didn’t I felt like I was being punished. The bands played at huge arenas and smaller venues, like a rock clubs, and every where in between. Like I said magical. I commend you for being aware that it was special. 😊🤘🏼
OH WOW YOU'RE SUCH A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE OMG I HAVENT HEARD ANYBODY SAY THAT EVER IN ANY COMMENT SECTION EVER AND THE ANIME PROFILE PIC PERFECTLY DESCRIBES THIS COMMENT AS BEING A TRAGEDY
This sure takes me back. I remember being really sad that I missed their Final Tour. And now 7 years later they wrapped up their stadium tour, which I FINALLY went to, fucking awesome show. And I also some more upcoming tour dates apparently. In 2015 they did say it was their Final tour and not their farewell tour, and rightfully so.
Yes but they're not gonna do gigs anymore. They've made it pretty clear. That contract they signed was legit and forbids them to do gigs anymore. They never said they wouldn't record new music though.
Music is never done you guys are amazing😢. My favorite band. I seen you guys live so my lifes complete. I love sixx sense radio show its cool as hell thanks nikki
The Crue was my shit back in the day of my teenage years & I'm gonna miss them wholeheartedly💜all u guys are & have always been awesome & a part of my heart as a loyal fan 4ever💔Motley Crue, U WILL BE MISSED BUT NEVER 4GOTTEN!
Motley was so much FUN to listen to, see live, follow their antics, workout to, party, everything. God, I miss them. Huge part of my life, may have even saved my life through a few decades of misery. Motley fucking Crue!!! 💕💖
Timed to perfection, last time on the Rolla Coasta.Dun n fuckn dusted. RIP-the greatest party band that's ever walked the earth. And if I die tomorrow............,.
As I type this on 4-4-19, Mick Mars is one month to the day away from his 68th Birthday! He was born on 5-4-51! He shares a Birthday with my Day, & Stepson, so I know this!
Final tour or farewell tour. Its the same. And 5 years later your back with a singer who doesn't give a shit anymore. But much respect to you guys. You guys have aways been a great band to me.
Vince was too emotional to sing in key? This chick must not be familiar with Vince Neil. That's how he always sings. Off key, only doing half the words. lol. I love Crue but let's call a spade a spade.
Fact is they haven't gotten along for years and years. So much so Vince has been out of the band a long time. When the group goes to tour. They contract him back into the band to sing. He and Tommy can't even be in the same room together. It was cool that I got to see these guys when they were real young in LA. I still have my ticket stubs, tour programs, etc from the early mid 1980's.
+ZBlacktt dude that happened last century! Vince punched Tommy and he left the band from like '99-'05. So they were touring together the last 10 years with whatever animosity was still left over. So that's definitely not the sole reason, if at all.
+ZBlacktt My band opened for them back in the day.Road to a party with them. Vince and myself in the back, Tommy in front with some chick(was told it was Bob Dylan's ex). Good times!
To me, when Theatre Of Pain came out, it lost me but gained a HUGE number of fans who would never have otherwise liked the band. They just *changed* after Too Fast For Love and Shout At The Devil. But it benefited them in a massive way.
I hope they come back and do some shows in the future now that they released The Dirt soundtrack with some new songs. Grateful I saw them in 87.' Didn't have a chance to see final tour, my Mother was sick and dying so 2014 and then in 2015 when she passed I was in such a dark place I had no idea they were on their final tour until it was over. Being a Crue fan since age 14 the paralell of their last tour with my mother's death likely would have been too painful. I love the Crue and The Dirt. Hoping they cone back once more, but realize that is very unlikely and holding onto that glorious night when I saw them as a young teenager. At least I got to hear them sing Home Sweet Home and Shout at the Devil live. My two favorite songs from them. I miss these guys.
THEY TOOK ROCK AND ROLL EXCESS TO A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL , THEIR SONG BOOK OF MUSIC SPEAKS FOR ITSELF !! VERY FEW BANDS GET TO WALK AWAY ON THEIR OWN TERMS !!!
Kinda weird, though, how Nikki Fucking Sixx is probably the healthiest looking Crue member despite being the one who used to be the most fucked-up drugwise
Cool, good to hear Mick speak. He's actually good at it.
buzzcrushtrendkill i clicked just to hear mick speak lol
Why would he not
Haha, contrary to what he wrote in The Dirt. He said he was bad at talking and therefore embarrassed in discussions.
@Zaire Jeremiah spam
Why would he not be good at speaking that’s a normal thing wtf 😂😂
It's a rare thing to see a band that lasted as long as they did, bow out with all the original members.
what about the nerd guitarist before mick
Emmanuel’s guide to minnesota v2 He wasnt in the band
ThrashMetalKid 666 well they ended with the original but throughout it was always the same
And now bow right back in for a $100,000,000 concert tour.
@@emmanuelsguidetominnesotav4396 It was a different band before .
Doesn’t really matter how old they are or how old they look. They’re Motley Crue man all of them lived way more shit than we ever will.

When I think of really underrated guitariats I think of Mick Mars. That dude has pumped out some kick ass riffs.

Lovely to hear so much from Mick.

bub yacobozzi That's The Truth!
Mick's older than than the rest, born in early to mid 50s, depending on what source you use, and with his health condition, it's aged him even faster.
Good come back! Take that mean people!
