Audrain's museum here to stay in Newport, throughout the 3 communities on Aquidneck Island, they already own 4 very large facilities and Jay has a $12 million estate on Ocean Drive in Newport, this is his east coast version of Jay Leno's Garage
It funny when I see footage of them driving around, I recognize all

Leno in a T-shirt and Osborne in a three piece suit driving around Newport in a 100+ year old car belching smoke. Must have been quite a sight! Well boys this series was quite a thrill. Interesting and very entertaining. Please do some more.

    Great shows. An excellent team.
Jay, playing the common Joe, eating pizza and stuffing his face as if food was going out of style.
Donald, playing the Upper Class posh person.
Although his attire is sort of a Cosplay -- green vest, blue bow-tie, a low-profile blazer....gimme a break!
The story about people in Europe in 1907, watching a car Racing at 60 miles (100 kms) / hour heading towards them
It was impossible for them to have a perception of that kind of speed -- they were used to carriages drawn by mules or horses.
Jay, you did it again -- you are back in business
Donald, a Star Is Born !

I expect that the 1907 Renault's top end is closer to 100 mph or more; they were ferociously fast, and the Renault Grand Prix model this car was based on was not only rated at 90 hp, it had _averaged_ 101 mph in the 1906 Grand Prix. William K. Vanderbilt II had already set the then-world's land speed record of 92.3 mph in 1904 at Daytona Beach in a Mercedes, and I can't imagine he'd want to trade _down_ in speed three years later. Wonderful video, marvelous house, magnificent cars, and perfectly hosted.

I have enjoyed the coraderie of Leno and Osborne for years in Donald's many appearances on Jay Leno's Garage. The first season of the Audrain series has been great fun, and a trip down memory lane of a different sort for me. I had the good fortune to study at Brown U. in Providence in the 1970s. Newport was just a 45 minute trip, and for an architecture buff, it was a great place to spend a day walking and observing on a student budget (mostly free!). Fond memories of Marble House... My senior class rented the facility for a formal dance... would have been May 1978... A grand place to have a party! A year earlier, the America's Cup Ball was at Rosecliffe... I had the "honor" of working as a bartender and waiter that evening. Served drinks and dinner to Skipper Dennis Connor that evening, although I did not fully appreciate who he was at the time. A few years later I could afford to visit the museum collection that preceeded the Audrain... it is great to see that old building rejuvenated under Donald's leadership, and promoted with Jay's help. BTW... recognized Jay's "new" east coast home and its location on sight, before even listen to the video clip.

With his green vest and lighter green bow tie, coupled with his glasses, Donald Osborne lend's a hint of Steam Punk to this episode. Much as I like Jay Leno's Garage, the counter point between Leno and Osborne, combined with the setting and the historical references is different in a way I find refreshing. I predict I'll be watching a lot of these.

It's great to see a car like this cruising in it's old hood. It has been a long time since I've seen it. I first saw it in the Rhode Island School of Design Museum in a display called "The Vintage Racing Machine". A few years later my friend Joe and I got a personal tour of these cars and other fantastic cars owned by George Waterman at their estate by Mrs. Waterman (a friend of Joe's aunt) in East Greenwich. Christmas '86 Joe gave me the catalogue of this display which showed seven cars including this one with specifications and brief histories of each. The Narragansett Race track in Cranston was in the area where the streets with names like Gansett, FIAT, Chandler, Jordan, Overland, Flint, Cadillac, Peerless, Packard and others are near Cranston Stadium. BTW, an intake over exhaust design engine is referred to an "F" head.

Imagine going 70mph with that right front wheel wobbling as bad as it is.

Fabulous just fabulous . Love Osborne's cultural contribution. Leno is a treasure. Funny how French style crosses the Atlantic and turns into American Gauche.

Is the Club Sport road legal? No but Jay can drive whatever he wants, wherever he pleases and I'll watch it and like.

The entire season's grade is A or 100%. Please continue with the series. As soon as I am fully vaccinated I shall visit the museum and make use of my membership which I've had for over 2 years. Sadly, Jay does not understand Formula 1, though.
