This is exactly why I've not pulled the trigger on sending in my cards right now. There are too many unknowns...
These issues are why I’m looking to setup a grading company.
Never dealt with BGS. Last time I sent cards to PSA, they lost one of them (LOB Red Eyes) and have yet to send the other (LOB Exodia). They were submitted in October. As far as the lost one, they said they “reviewed the footage and saw nothing wrong” and that I “must be mistaken and never sent the card.” Now seeing this, it’s official....never grading anything ever again. The whole TCG world is in shambles, boom or no boom. People need to just get back to PLAYING THE GAMES.
Meanwhile, some other dude is like "Where's my Torres autographed card?"

This is so scary! My friend over here in Australia paid $6000 to grade over $60k worth of cards with Beckett and I can't even imagine what it would feel like to lose something like that.
I'll be sending my cards to lock in their condition locally so I don't have to deal with insanely high grading costs and now a very real chance my cards may just get sent to somebody else.
Foreign stuff in the cases has been an issue since 2019, dust, fluff, loose pieces of plastic inbetween the inner sleeve and slab, scratches on the slab/s. Had a few spelling errors on some of mine as well as the wrong label put into one of my slabs. I saw some other individuals sports cards and have seen some magic cards arrive back to collectors upside down in the Beckett cases on Instagram and here on UA-cam. Quality control is seriously in the toilet at Beckett. Now they are sending out the wrong orders to customers. Another thing on the list to worry about. Hopefully they do something about it and you can get your cards back.

Sorry Louie! Graded package day is supposed to be top excitement! I have a feeling this is going to turn out okay. I am sure either the sport collector is a good dude or Beckett will wake up and correct the error, or both. Looking forward to the Monarch Box breaks next week! I am going to join you with a baker's dozen myself!

BGS already lacks any sort of safety net for if they make mistakes during grading. I am so glad you made this video. I have been on the fence about BGS for a while but this tilted my decision to never using them. I will probably tell everyone I know to not use them as well because this is atrocious. I hope they do something to make it right, we would love a follow up video to see how it turns out.
Beckett, really I mean how could you? Now I can’t send cards in to get graded. Even more scared now to send a $20000 card to them.
I tried calling BGS several times and got disconnected after it rang multiple times. I emailed them and asked them when the best time to call was and they basically told me there was no good time to call and that they were so busy they cant answer the phone.
I just pulled the fabled from monarch at a pre release. Eventually I'll get it graded, but this shit makes me nervous....

Man I heard so many horror stories that I'm still holding mine till shit calms down someday. Seen videos of people sending in jordan rookie cards and getting a random $50 pokemon card back.

Im sorry this happened to you bro. Going forward make sure you open everything from beckett on video to help cover your bum if shit happens. I was already afraid to send in cards for grading because with how crazy things are it would be my luck this exact situation or worse would happen to me. I hope you are able to get this sorted out.

I know the mix up isn't great. But being a straight cards A to person B and cards B to person A makes it much simpler that it could have been.
I’ve seen too many issues with Beckett to warrant them being the better choice for TCG cards. I hope PSA catches on more for Flesh and Blood. I think 9++ and quads etc are overrated considering if you send your cards back you get different scores anyway. To me it’s either a 9 or a 10. Too much attention to the plate can be distracting from the card itself. Maybe PSA could just switch 8s 9s and 10s to silver, gold, and black/gold plates to bring people over.

i insure my cards for sold value, just incase it's lost and then i have the funds to purchase another
Unless I'm missing something, getting insurance on the cards only covers them up until the point they reach Beckett.

That is a dilly of a pickle for sure. Sounds like they're too swamped to ensure quality control. As far as what to do, I did a kijiji trade with a dude whee we just had to trust each other. It went well and the warm and fuzzies from having my faith restored in humanity was worth the risk.
For fun, I looked up the card on the left. seems to be worth about $160 ungraded. oof.
