I think the reason you got some of those unexpected names and younger players is because you're timeline is just a tad off. If you're looking to crown current players I don't think you should be looking for the next 10 to 15 years bro. I think you should be asking about the next 5-8. Ant's getting love only because the league is desperate for the next face of the league NOT being a foreigner. so they're puffing Ant's sails right now. I thought the league would go SGA considering how hard the league pressed on the scales to get SGA into the MVP voting (dude had no business being 2nd for mvp over luka, and he came out of nowhere with that vote, clearly someone was making calls). But SGA did the unforgivable and lost to one of those foreigners threatening to be face of the league; while Ant beat the other foreigner who is in danger of becoming the face of the league. I don't dislike ANT, but the dude is streaky as all hell. always has been. and he's a bit small (short, with short arms) to dominate physically like he wants to; and his defense is mediocre at best (frankly it's about as bad as luka's was 3 years ago). He'll be a perennial top 10-15 guy, but i doubt he'll ever crack the top 5... i'll give him a few more years, but Jordan/Luka/LeBron were all way better then ant at 22. And Zion will eat himself out of the league. and even if he doesn't, his lack of a shot (any shot) and his utter contempt for playing defense will keep him out of the top 15 most of his career. dude isn't even a max player right now. stop huffing the hype hopium about him. and did kyrie learn something from LeBron to let him play to 42? Don't know. LeBron isn't even 40 year. it's pretty presumptuous to assume he'll still be playing in 2 years. furthermore, the "secret" to LeBron's longevity is called "steroids". lets not pretend we all don't know how he's doing this.
Luka will never be the face of the league and the reason for that is that it's solely predetermined by NBA media narratives. When Luka was carrying the mavericks on his shoulders for the whole of his career the narrative was he was a ballhog and statpadding on a bad team. When Luka got help he needed this season with Lively, Gafford, Irving and PJ Washington, the narrative became that the team is overpowered and Luka is coasting. When Embiid had a 70pt game the narrative was he's a godlike offensive player. When Luka had a 73pt game the narrative was that the Hawks choked defensively and that it's an embarrassing performance for them not a historic performance for Luka. You can see the very same narrative in this playoff run - every team the Mavs faced were the favourites to win, and when they lost they immediately scramble to find excuses on what's wrong with the Clippers, Thunder and now the Timberwolves. Especially the timberwolves, Ant was lauded as the next MJ and the Timberwolves were all but crowned to be NBA 2023-2024 Champions but when they went down 0-3, narratives that Ant doesn't have enough help started. Twolves managed to eek out a 1-3 against Luka and Kyrie playing an average game and very importantly Lively missing(because of KAT's heinous knees) and the narrative has begun that they'll come back to complete the first ever in history 3-0 comeback to go to the finals and win it all. There's really not much Luka can do at this point, just strap in and win games until you win the championship like Jokic and maybe then media will say something nice, but as soon as you lose it'll be forgotten in an instant.

Luka would be 35-40, definitely could still be top tier, but not the face (curry and Durant isn't the face anymore). It's also the reason why they picked a bunch of teenagers, because in 10-15 years they would around 26-30, which is exactly the age when people become faces. (Joker, Tatum, Luka, Giannis, etc)
@@sworddash2365and you’re an old dude bitching about someone’s nickname 💀 nicknames don’t have to be creative or witty or anything, just has to be catchy and ant man is catchy
Just stop with this "only 22 years old" business. Just off the top of my head, when Rick Barry was 22 years old he led the league in scoring at over 35 ppg and (with Nate Thurmond's help) took the Warriors to the championship finals. (Two years before, before getting Barry, the Warriors had set a league record for most losses ever.) I'm sure there are many other examples of players that didn't need the excuse of their age for just not being all that good.
The reason Luka isn't second on the lists from the responses is likely because its somewhat arguable that this was the first season where he could be defined as a superstar and already the face of the NBA. So some people may have left him off because there was an assumption he already was. I mean he's basically been averaging 28, 8, and 8 or better since 2020.

I’m really surprised none of Cade, Sengun, or Shaedon Sharpe got any votes. I’m super high on all 3 of them and could easily see them all being top 10 players someday.
Shai is my favorite player right now and behind is my hometown’s own, Cade Cunningham. If Shai can gain a little weight and develop a solid post up game, he’d definitely be the face w everything else he has going.
I think the answers could have been better if you said 5-10 years.I think that maxey should be way higher in this list same as AJ he’s very good and I think has the same potential as cooper.
The idea of a face of the league might be dying as a concept. more players are getting brand deals, they are making themselves marketable. It's harder to have an allegiance to one player that's why the NBA is leaning so heavily into making narratives out of every matchup. The league is more narrative driven than it is about creating a face of the league. So they're pushing whoever is popping off at any given moment and if no one is they just create a narrative to make one.
I'm sorry not having Tatum in a top 5 future face of the nba is insane. Especially when you have Edwards, Paolo, and Zion. Tatum has led his team every year on a champion ship run and has insane record breaking stats in his first 7 years. Is he the most talented player, no. Is he a scorer like Luka, No. But is he consistently impacting the teams success and winning at the highest level, absolutely. Tom Brady was not the most talented QB but he could win.
People saying Luka is worse than ANT is wild ANT doesn’t know how to compete at a time where his team really needs him all ANT is better than Doncic at is defense and that’s literally it anyway I see Wemby being face of the league

Not a minute goes by when he’s on the court without him having a meltdown complaining to the refs. I respect his game but he just has no poise.
If Celtics win. It will be and shouldve been already, Jason Tatum. If Dallas win itll be Luka for a little while. Honestly cant see Ant ever being the ‘face’ (for a prolonged period anyway) as long as hes at the Twolves. Glad you left Shai off.

harden was the best player in the nba for a couple of szn he was never the face. tim duncan was too but he was never the face. it’s other factors that go into being the face and it’s something tht you have to embrace why don’t we call joker the face.. bc he doesn’t want tht but he’s still the best current player
I’m really surprised none of Cade, Sengun, or Shaedon Sharpe got any votes. I’m super high on all 3 of them and could easily see them all being top 10 players someday.
Factual
Shai is my favorite player right now and behind is my hometown’s own, Cade Cunningham. If Shai can gain a little weight and develop a solid post up game, he’d definitely be the face w everything else he has going.
Cadeee🐐
I think the answers could have been better if you said 5-10 years.I think that maxey should be way higher in this list same as AJ he’s very good and I think has the same potential as cooper.
Yea I should have said that tbh
Ja and Paolo are soooo underrated
Facts
Cooper Flag has got to be in the top 5 faces of the Nba in 10 to 15 years cause he will still be relatively young then
he hasn’t even played a lick of college
nah its andrew nemphard
sigh
Probably
like your videos, don't like the gambling ads
No Tyrese haliburton is wild😭
The JT disrespect is crazy
The idea of a face of the league might be dying as a concept. more players are getting brand deals, they are making themselves marketable. It's harder to have an allegiance to one player that's why the NBA is leaning so heavily into making narratives out of every matchup. The league is more narrative driven than it is about creating a face of the league. So they're pushing whoever is popping off at any given moment and if no one is they just create a narrative to make one.
Great video, subbed
Thank you bro
I don't see anyone more talented than Ja Morant. But Luka Doncic is special, one of a kind.
Ja is him
I'm sorry not having Tatum in a top 5 future face of the nba is insane.
Until Tatum seperates from Brown he will never be in debates on his own
@@NTFCNathan they are a terrific duo but Tatum has the all NBA first teams and top 5 mvp conversations spots jaylen just cant match his stats
I lost it after Paolo and Zion was on the list
They both hoopers damn
There technically can’t be 4 faces of the nba from the West right? It has to be only 1 or 2 that rises to the top
U forgetting about Morant, how u put Paulo over ja
Where will you guys be in 10 years?
Idk wbu
Sarr also has the best player in the NBL with Bryce Cotton as his tm.
Damnnn I gotta peep
I agree with ur 5, except I'd replace zion with SGA
Fair I forgot sga lol
The Jayson Tatum disrespect is getting out of hand he’s literally the only one in this group to make it to the finals Twice.
He’s him
i will never forgive the pacers for trading kawhi, prolly wouldn’t have worked out in the end but still gotta give the man a chance
Wowww imagine they had him
I’m glad you are getting as revenue but gosh do I hate gambling
Here in Brazil narrators call Anthony Edwards Atomic Ant.
That’s fire
What was his channel name before
Modern jam
People saying Luka is worse than ANT is wild ANT doesn’t know how to compete at a time where his team really needs him all ANT is better than Doncic at is defense and that’s literally it anyway I see Wemby being face of the league
nb said luka is worse than
yall keep mistaking the face for being the best it’s a difference yea luke will probably be the best for years but the face will be american born bc the audience is mainly american and the casual fan will gravitate to sb they can relate to or connect with. the face is not the best its the player with the most influence and impact on the game
No way you chose Paulo and Zion over sga, Tatum, and Jalen brunson. Hell, put Donovan Mitchell and Tyrese haliburton over Paulo banchero.
Bro the whole vid im like wtf he tlkin bout ppl being in they prime at like 32-35 like bro does this dude actually watch basketball or is he like the rest these new “fans” who jus watch highlights n look at stats n make videos like they no wats goin on
Saga one is crazy but the rest are explainable : Tatum hated
o aura Brunson in NYC (people hate the knicks )and little aura Donvan idk what it is I just feel like he’ll always be slept on and hail no aura and his games is kinda boring except for when he passing .
You know im kinda surprised no one picked Jalen green even though hes basically putting the rockets on his back with 20 ppg
Scottie Barnes and Jon kuminga should’ve pulled a few votes.
Facts
I guess we just forgot about Ja huh… 🤦🏾♂️
Mhm
That’s cool and all but jokic deserves respect
Facts
I get that Luka is over hated and probably should be the face of the NBA considering how well he’s playing this post season, but man is he hard to watch sometimes.
If I had a top 5 it'd be Wemby, Paolo, Luka, Dybansta, and a euro player in the next 2 drafts (2025,2026)
Damnnnn which one
whos dybansta
@@ModernTwoThree Ngl you just got to wait and see, they say 2024 is week but they got one of the deepest international classes ever, w Traore and them Spanish youngins coming out in 2025/2026 it might be wraps, flagg can also hoop
Damn we all forgot about Ja and Rob dillingham 😢
