You lucked out Tahiti built a good many with Jacuzzi pumps. I've never seen one with a Berkely. The white pumps are the only way to ever get any speed without spending a ton of cash. If you wanna run much over 70 you will need to do a little magic to the Berkely also.
@@victormontalbano4993 LS stands for the LS1-ls7 serie engines but being a very simillar based platform the therm LS is now use to identify all Gen3+ small block chevy engines.

No its not ...tf? It's practical... who would want to ride on your boat with open headers?? Nobody... oh wait you don't have a boat with and LS and jet drive... stop hating out of jealousy
The impeller cut needs to be matched to the engine. 3450 rpm is like 135 hp. 2900 rpm is about 75. Assuming Berkeley 'A' cut impeller. Getting 60 from 75hp? Pretty impressive if so but I'm skeptical.
I want to build this eaxct combo in a boat im wondering how you go about tuning ive done quite a bit of LS tuning on cars and trucks but not sure what to do on a marine application
@@drivewayparty4318 so did you find you had to pull alot of timing and lean it out quite a bit? Id imagine there way less load than a car so probably requires less fuel
@@drivewayparty4318 I put an old license plate on my upside down manifolds. Hand formed and screwed to the stock heat shield. It would still fry a wire every once in a while but mine was turboed so it ran hot
why would you run the tail pipes like that that is so WOW no words for it look like shit and you are the first to put mufflers on a jet boat or any boat have you ever owned a boat before or a rubber duck cant wait intill you take it out lol
I was trying to keep it quiet so I could here and internal engine noises and once I knew everything work, I could take them off and it would be fun to see a speed increase
They are temporary. Engine has high miles and I wanted to be able to hear any engine noises. I also thought it would be fun to see if I gained any performance after removing them
Need to get some Bravo headers and get rid of those mufflers off there and they some little mufflers they make for boats they are like 5” long and they will do the job and they sound pretty good too.. but you need to do something with that exhaust it looks like Pee wee Herman built that !

I think that's the first time I've ever seen mufflers on a jet boat. How long did they last before they broke off?

My brothers and I all run renegade ultra lights with Berkeley pumps. Honestly those pumps are the only way to go.
That jet gots sum potential the right intake n cam she gonna be fast them berk e pumps pretty good for speed
Sounds like a Lawn mower coming down the river
Belts loose too, u should run the water intake back out through the exhaust. Much cooler system.
Love the build a stock 4.8/5.3 should push that boat pretty good once its all sorted out.
Cool boat but for the love of god take off that exhaust and run boat headders out the back .

🤣🤣 they were just for testing. Plans were to take them off and see if I gain any speed
Bro get rid of those mufflers and those pea shooter pipes it's embarrassing lol...

Huh???????
You can flip the exhaust manifolds upside down and mount the coils to the stringers and still run stock plug wires
That's a super cool idea, would look way cleaner! I crashed the boat though. Will be in the next video. Definitely would have done that
Need some 70s open headers 😎
Wicked nice boat but man that alternator belt at the end went south on the tension!
Haha yeah it was really wiggling
You never get 6000 rpm with that motor. Jet pump is going to eat up that power and limit the rpm. What were you able to see out of it ?
What's going on for that constant water leaking in the back
Did you just mount the engine onto the fiberglass itself or did you use special brackets?
Mounted with thru bolts to the stringers. If I could do it again I would put a plate on both sides of the stringers to keep the bolt from pulling thru
Mufflers are perfect
I was worried about running without a filter but sounds like the engine is done anyways
Honestly it sounds more quiet than traditional wet exhaust
Should you have a air filter on it?
How did you setup the cooling system?
I have the same question?
Where did you get driveline to flywheel adapter?
Where did you get your parts bro
Demo derby headers would be cool.
Look Up Lighting Headers ... They Are Marine Headers ... Have That Water Cooling Jacket Around Them
Does the trim work? Seems to not plane right. Hopefully you figured that out
I have a 1970 Glastron which I have the jet pump for it but I don't know how to fiberglass it. Any tips?
Frame it all with good wood and glass over it. Not really a boat guy myself Lol
No camshaft?
Nice !!!!
I think ur cable isn't opening up the butterfly all way
The water from the lake/river won’t eat the aluminum heads out?
Not sure, but I know if I leave iron outside in the rain it rusts faster than aluminum
What top speed are you getting out of it ....mine wont spin past 2900 rpm but does 60mph

Conservative timing from another tune and keep air fuel ratios in check

what was your max rpm you were getting on the river??
3400 rpm. It turned out 3 injectors were clogged
Why not just reverse an flip the headers instead of that wonky exhaust setup?
Replace those headers right now. Great boat tho
Hahaha thanks

I wish.. No, I'm in central New Jersey

Its a Tahiti hull

The Holley Terminator doesn't use the Mass airflow sensor

Looks like only 1/4 throttle - should rip if you can get full throttle.
buy some boat headers
Great way to sink the boat. Water inside never good!
What in tarnations is this!?
I'd put some bullhorns on it👍
Ls. Is not in a truck. And it don’t say vortex
Ok boomer
I won't ask why
