Dalton is a name from a well known belgian comic (and cartoon) called lucky luke, the villains are the dalton brothers. (which were an actual gang in the wild west)
Back in the Six Flags days and a little while after that, the ride featured statues of the brothers on the gondolas, but they had to be removed due to a character licence expiring. Now they replaced the statues with a generic image of a skull with a face mask, such a downgrade
Tutankhamun dark ride path change based on your score + if you manage to kill the bosses. If you get a high score you will unlock a longer route and if you manage to kill tutankhamun during it you will get to the treasure room ! So, there is 3 different path in total, longest one making the right almost 50% longer than basic route !
The shooting is absolutely necessary because of that, plus it make the re-ridability through the roof, otherwise you do it once or twice and that's it.
I've been doing that ride since years and I always love it, it has to be one of the only dark ride in a park i'll never skip doing no matter how often I go to the park !
I had no idea about the different ending, that is very very cool!
This is my homepark and I share my opinion with you. I had a blast showing you and your group around the park when we could and seeing your first impressions on some of the attractions was so nice. Thanks for the great review, just about everything a thoosie should know about this park when they visit.
6:51 that’s what she said
“This area is Arabian themed” shows the most stereotypical Indian theming possible including hindi and a big billboard with Bollywood written on it
Ah crap! my apologies!
@studio732jrl2 It was a joke 😂 suck it up
@studio732jrl2 The commenter was pointing out the Indian theming. If you know what hindi writing looks like, it’s quite obvious.
That's what to be expected from seppos
Definitely an underated park. It may not have the collection of Walibi Holland but it still has quite some unique rides like Psyké Underground and Pulsar. And the drop tower and Kondaa are really good looking rides.
It’s the ORIGINAL walibi
@The gaming 6 yes, but the rides of walibi Holland are better in general. Only Kondaa is is really good.
@@brickTopia-stopmotion Hahahaha, Dutch people...
concerning the Aqualibi, they're getting a big expansion with an aquacoaster, a bowl and a quarterpipe slide
looks like such a fun park would love to go
A 10 year investment plan that they're halfway through says they'll do changes to the western area, the area where loup-garou is in and the Pulsar area. The western area is getting a sidecar XL this year named Silverton. The Pulsar/flashback zone would be more harbour themed in the future and the zone of loup-garou would become a more new orleans styled zone. So maybe we'll still get an RMC... 🤞. And the new slides of Aqualibi this year are of course also part of this expansion.
Also adding: the plan is delayed due to covid and the floods of last year ..
Scrap the SLC, use its space + Loup Garou to build a huge RMC or GCI hybrid (or maybe even better a GG woodie upgrade), then add an outdoor launch coaster in the back area of the park and boom, coaster line up complete👌
Thanks fr the reviewww new in brussels and I consideringg making a visit!
People were talking about Wallibi Holland all the time because of Goliath and Untamed, but nobody was talking about this place. Now that Kondaa has opened up, that's all we they can talk about.
I've been a regular pass member in this park since 2016 and I agree with you. Little note: Dalton Terror used to be themed around the Dalton Brothers from the Lucky Luke strips but since the license expired, they changed it to a regular logo, still using Dalton Terror as name.
My home Park 🔥😁😁
This was one of three parks in Europe I went to last summer
I love this Park
At the tutenchamun dark ride you actually go a different path at the end if you get enough points. So its worth shooting for sure
I actually did not know that, thats cool!
I still feel like the shooting aspect takes a back seat in the ride experience, but thats just me
Im happy that you said you wanted to see them redo the older sections of the park because that are going to be doing that, next year, flashback ans psyke are going to be rethemed which means to ugly queue of psyke is going to be gone, there is also a new rollercoaster coming. they are also planning to change the vampire and loup-garou section, which at season opening yesterday, i saw they arlready changed the path. I hope you get the change to go back soon when they upgraded the park again.
Wouhouuu, my home park! :p If you've got questions I may have the answers :D And also I'm looking for coaster buddies, so if you live in belgium (or not :p )and are interested to go to walibi tell me! My friends don't like coasters too much, so I'm looking for other people to go with :p
Went there last Year in May. With Kondaa they have one of the best Coasters in Europe in my opinion. I loved Tikki Waka and the two pewpew Dark Rides. I mean when you are in Belgium and on your way to De Panne you can visit Walibi😅 luckily Belgium is not so big
Good video my friend!
Rode Loup Garou twice and got wildly different ride experiences. First ride, daytime in May, it was incredibly rough. Not fun at all, just painful. Almost didn't go back on it but man, on the second ride, nightride on Halloween, it was absolutely phenomenal. Still a little bumpy but not bad at all, so the great layout got to shine. The airtime moments were so much fun! Easily one of the best roller coaster rides I ever had. Before I wanted it to be RMC'd, too, but now I honestly hope they'll just do a regular retracking 😅🤣 Going back in April and hoping it won't break my heart, hahaha.
Update: Rode it again a few days ago. Still very bumpy but also quite a lot of fun! :D
I honestly love it for its wild nature. The ride used to be a lot better in the past because it wasn't quite so rough, but mainly because the padding in the leather seats was so much softer, so it didn't matter that you were shaken around a lot. It added to the charm of it. So yeah, this ride doesn't need to get rmc'd, it just needs some quality TLC and it's bound to be one of the better wooden coasters in its area
love walibi :)
The gerstlaur bobsled model is supposed to be a upgraded of a wild mouse
I think the wooden coaster is still popular because in Europe wooden coasters are kinda rare. Wooden coasters are a more USA thing most of the big wooden coaster manufactures are there.
True they are pretty rare. Out of 92 coasters i rode (in europe) only 7 were wooden coasters
Yeah kinda. Wooden coasters always have a bit of a reputation here as being classic and classy, not as extreme but shaky. And Loup Garou certainly fits that bill. Much of the public here still find it hard to believe that new wooden coasters can be built. I mean heck I've heard people say they believe rides like Falken at Fårup Sommerland are from the 1930's.
Loved this park. My mind was slightly blown when people were speaking French at the entrance. I had to do some googling to figure out why! I also agree that Kondaa is the best ride in Belgium.
@@vincent4258probably a goofy mistake you made by accident, but the german part is in the east of the belgium, not the west lol. Otherwise yessss. Also, Brussels is supposedly dutch and french, but honestly it's mainly french.
The ending of "challenge of tutankhamon" depends of the amount of points you gather. If you get a good score you will enter an extra (treasure)room
This is also my home park. I think it has potential, but it just feels a bit too much like a boring Six Flags park. I think as a one-day visit it's fine, but not so great for too many repeat visits. So many EU parks set the bar high with theming, atmosphere, and food/drinks, all of which make it much more diverse and enjoyable to spend lots of time at the park. Walibi (both of them) feel lack luster with both detail and cohesion, some sections of the park could be gorgeous but are unfortunately pretty meh. The lack of any good food or drink options is also a big problem, as usually by the afternoon I rather head back into Leuven for good food/drinks. It is very convenient being just a 20 minute train ride away, but I think I'd rarely go if it was that much further away. If I want to spend a full day at a park, I'd rather drive 1.5 hours to Efteling/Toverland, or 2 hours to Phantasialand.
Halloween is a pretty fun time at the park though, and you can get actual night rides. Of course Christmas time at Phantasialand is like the greatest thing ever 😃
3:26 really curious what that interaction was...
Welcome to northern Europe, where indoor waterparks are EVERYWHERE. 80% of Rulantica (@ Europa Park) is indoors.
I had planned on going to Walibi when I was in Brussels last year, but there was a chance of rain every single one of the 11 days I was there. I did read up on it though, and there is a plan to update all of the lands (I didn't see anything on the kiddie land, though). Next up is supposed to be your Western land with a new flat ride, and at least one other on the way, with the possibility of a new coaster when all that is done.
Yeah. One of the biggest examples I could list is probably Tikibad at Duinrell in the Netherlands. Duinrell isn't even a particularly big park, its nice for sure but also quite off the radar for enthusiasts, but their indoor waterpark is huge and quite something.
Interestingly in Scandinavia, basically all parks with an attached waterpark have theirs outdoors and included in admission, like Fårup, Djurs, Skara sommarland, Bø Sommerland, Tusenfryd, and so on.
First?
Edit: Konda looks fantastic, would love to visit this park.
Kondaa is fantastic
I have good news for you. The area with flashback (logflume) and psyké underground is gonna get themed as a port area in a few years
Loup Garou is one of only 3 Vekoma woodies so it's an unique credit... If it get RMC'ed then there's only 1 left ...
Both the Walibi parks are a bucket list for me. Look beautiful and the coaster collections are decent. Hollands it’s better but Belgiums is still good.
IMO Holland has the better coasters, but Belgium is the better overall park.
@@Arma070 That makes sense
They have a Fastpass Option
Why does every wooden rollercoaster be transformed to an RMC. Before Plopsaland, The Werewolf was the only wooden rollercoaster in Belgium. Why wouldn't a good retracking of this coaster not better suited for this classic. Seems a lot of visitors, as you said, love the coaster.
Not every wooden roller coaster needs to get RMC'd. Just the bad ones :)
@@CoasterStudios But the layout of Loup Garou is actually good!
If it gets some titan track in some valleys and such it would be a much better ride
The thing is that American parks have mostly more than one wooden coaster. So, it's okay to RMC one of them. In Europe there is maximum one wooden coaster. And they are mostly the most popular attraction of the park. Becasue it's family and thrill orientated. So, RMC that one, very popular wooden ride is less obivious.
@Patrick Holland Imagine if either of those parks got something like Leviathan from Gravity Group🤤
BRO WEREWOLF IS AWESOME WHAT DO YOUU MEAAAAN
but ngl it is a backbreaker
wow a drop tower called Alton Towers
Dalton Terror is named after the Dalton brothers, who are the bad guys in the Lucky Luke comic books.
Rmc loup garou better be announced in 2024 i swear im going crazy
7:38 Shooting is Important for Challenge of Tut, Cause it has 3 Possible Endings based on Score
I actually did not know that, thats cool!
I still feel like the shooting aspect takes a back seat in the ride experience, but thats just me
Dalton! It's from a comic book called Lucky Luke. The Daltons are the villains.
is this your fav walibi park that u've visited so far?
I think the SLC got new restraints so it should of been running somewhat smooth, it's a shame you didn't get to experience it.
It also has a very nicely themed area and a lot of near misses with the supports
2:14 lol thats such an American thing to say that an indoor water park is weird considering the weather in the Benelux is absolutely trash. Almost all the waterparks here are indoor.
people forget this park was under water 2 years ago
People with a stream in their backyard do not forget!
the daltons ar from luke luke
3 parks in Belgium have indoor waterparks :p Walibi, Plopsaland and Bellewaerde
Also the last part of the park is actually Indian themed not Arabian!
oops, my apologies!
@@CoasterStudios At the moment it still rains regularly in the summer. (but climate change is gradually being felt) An outdoor water park is therefore not an obvious choice in Belgium. Most waterparks in Belgium are indoor. An additional advantage is that an indoor water park can also remain open in winter.
Just FYI, at least from the footage you showed, that "Arabian" themed area is themed to the Indian Subcontinent. Arabian themed would be more camels and tents and less elephants and pointed arches.
My apologies!
9:35 😬
What do you guys edit on?
We have experience in a variety of editing platforms, but our editor of choice is final cut pro
Still waiting for your Disney Studios Paris Review
It's coming! The park reviews are in order of when we visited, and unfortunately Disneyland Paris was towards the end, so there's still several more that will be before it
An indoor attached watermark is actually NOT that rare in the Benelux guys😉 2 in the Netherlands and 2 in Belgium😉
Do you guys own coaster force?
No, we own coaster studios
How come Walibi and Aqualibi don't rhyme in this video?
LOL, you must say ''Aqualibi'' with the accent on the second A not ion the I. A-kwalibi
thats not true there are 4 walibi parks
I didn't do it officer I swear it I have a really solid walibi
How do you afford your traveling experience? Is UA-cam that good?
Im sure im not the only one to think that.
Hopefully this year you will upload in order.
They sell merch as well ;)
Psyke underground changed its launch due to an incident in the past when it was called the Sirocco where it was stuck upside down in the loop, which was a pretty famous incident when you look it up on youtube and so they rebranded it.
It operated pretty long with the flywheel as 'Turbine' though.
The LIM was added due to the huge amount of downtime. They used the opportunity to add the tubes on the end, mainly to please the neighbours.
I have to say, while I really did enjoy my visit to this place in July last year... having learned about the recent history of the Walibi Parks and the course the owners have taken makes me feel a little less enthusiastic about it. 😕
Just my opinion though, and even still, I wouldn't hesitate to revisit any of the Walibi parks anytime soon!
The park really improved after it left the Six Flags group, that's for sure.
Remove the shooting of Challenge of Tutankhamon? uuuh how about no?
Reason it has shooting is because that was the first dark shooter there. way before Popcorn Revenge
And whats more epic then beeing able to battle an egyptian god?
Ah yes, the second best park in belgium
Which park do you consider better?
It is hard to top Bellewaerde.
@@StamfordBridge Bellewaerde is doing really well currently, but how can you choose that above Walibi …?
@@revofreak1993 Bellewaerde is a cute park, but I was just kidding. I’m assuming Carlo had in mind Plopsaland de Panne as the best because of Ride to Happiness.
@@StamfordBridge One good coaster (Ride to Happiness) doesn’t make up for an overpriced shitty park
