Phantasialand is the literal and physical manifestation of the saying, "Necessity is the Mother of Invention." Nowhere is this more visible than at Disney's US parks. Walt Disney World has so much space that many of their attractions are big, boring boxes separated miles from each other, often with little thought or attention given to immersive theming. Disneyland California, on the other hand, is boxed in on all sides and thus puts so much more effort into utilizing every square inch as efficiently as possible--and it results in a more fantastic theme park experience!
My favourite park. Immaculate theming, every ride is just so good. It’s a total experience, complete sensory package even without the pomposity and budget of Disney/Universal. Shows what one can accomplish in theme park design with a lot of passion and creativity.
I was lucky enough to get a night ride front row on Taron and FLY and trust me, that’s stupidly insane because the rides are even faster then they are normally and there is fog everywhere also coming from the underground and everything seems even more mythical and crazy.
