I finally got in as my 7950x3d came :) in new babbage it was smooth didnt drop below 70fps and was getting 100fps a lot of the time thats with 64GB Gskill 6000 cl30 kit and a 4090 and it loads quicker too with the M.2 MVme gen 4 SSD
good video and stats thanks. considering if worth jump from 5800x3d to zen4 however I think I'll wait for zen5 next year given the reported jump in IPC expected on the 8000 series (also we might have Sq.42 by then!)
I order the 7950X3D on release day, but it was not fulfilled. So I quickly had to order the 7900X3D instead, it is all explained here: ua-cam.com/video/YBPODMa5f8k/v-deo.html
Great informational video! I was confused at first when I noticed the bar for 13900k @ 133 is bigger than the bar for 5800X3D @ 140 (ua-cam.com/video/-4UJ1RyqvMA/v-deo.html) until I realized the bar was for the sum of all 3 bar components not just the last component. Writing here in case it helps others.
Hello! Thanks for this review. Is 7950x3D performing very better than 7900x3D / 7800x3D ? I'm doing video editing and losing 4 cores (currently on 5900X) to 7800x3D wouldn't be great (but winning 4 would bring substantial gains, on non SC part tho)
My hypothesis is that 3.18 is more demanding due to entity streaming increasing the number of entities which overwhelms the Cache size, requiring the CPU to rely more on its RAM speed. Making it probably perform like a 5800x (non-3d), the only way to confirm this is to do a 5800x vs 5800X3D test. This is my best educated hypothesis.
AMD Ryzen™ 9 7900X3D has 12 cores... not 6 cores... no clue where u got that from 7800 is lower tier only 8 cores. so 4 cores less not 2 cores more then the 7900x3d
The other 6 cores are disabled for optimum performance as the scheduler does not do a good job see the full 7900X3D review here: ua-cam.com/video/YBPODMa5f8k/v-deo.html

Zen 5 is expected to come q2 next year so definitely before SQ42
Thanks again. Good source of current stand of high end hardware. Can be better but it is the best we got in my opinion.
First comment :) glad to see the gen12 renderer tests!
Amazing video!!! Good to know the 13900k is going strong. Keep them coming :)
if at 4k 5800x3d do you lose performance and please can you do a GPU scaling bemchmarks at 4k with other games if I'd have to upgrade my 5800 x3d.
What made you go 7900X3D instead of getting 4 more cores for just $100 more with the 7950X3D? Genuine inquiry. I assume you had a good reason.

7800X3D is slightly faster than the 7950X3D and alot faster than the 7900X3D which is a terrible cpu.
@@Jasontvnd9 thx :)
Is that a Sidewinder X4 keyboard?
yes
Was the Intel CPU tested with DDR4? Or did I read it wrong?
yes at 4100mhz tuned speeds, see here ua-cam.com/video/CrSMcOC7vAo/v-deo.html
Why did the 5800x3d get so much worse this patch

The 5800X3D also has worse clockspeed.
pfff this patch optimization seems like a regression to me

@@gamedaytoday1 Still what you're stating in this Video here is just wrong... It is a 12 Core CPU not a 6 Core CPU.
