Not automatically. It has some shapes that you can apply in a strait stitch that can perform this function. This feature is on the Baby lock Altair which is a more advanced model.

Yes you can. The Vesta uses 15 class bobbins.

I looked up the specs and it doesn’t say but my estimate is that the largest are up to 40 mm
