Thanks for sharing. Very helpful. I've been using an Endy for about 60 days and being a side sleeper, I have to say I have had some of the worst sleep of my life- and I love sleep. I'm usually clocking in 8-9hours. On this Endy I wake up in about 3 hours and have a very hard time falling back asleep. I'll be giving the Douglas a try.
Im liking the Douglas more just because you stated that its the softer of the 2 and i like the fact that it has gel memory foam in the top layer. They both look like nece beds but the Endy would just be too form for me as a mostly side sleeper. Great comparison and thank you...two more beds i had never heard of before
love the side by sides, sometimes reviews seem repeitive becaause the mattresses to a consumer are very similar and i can't figure out what is better for me.
Received my Douglas this week, it's going back. Bought it because I have back issues and I have to sleep on my side with pillow between my knees. Bought it specifically because Logan here said it was softer than the Endy and better for side-sleepers. Logan, if you think that the Douglas is soft... I am so so sorry that you grew up sleeping on your concrete basement floor. I have had 4 of the worst nights of sleep in recent memory.
Same here, very disappointed in these reviews. My back is killing me to and i barely get 4 hour sleep. Sending it back as well. Did you find any other mattress that worked for you? Thanks.
I'm pretty sure he said that the endy was better for side sleepers. You're also suppose to try it out for more then 2 weeks. Your body is adjusting and so is the bed.
I tried the endy but ended up returning it, tried the Douglas and with in 1 week I knew it was the bed for me, nothing against the endy but it just didn’t feel as good to be on after about 2 weeks but everyone’s body’s are all different tough to tell anyone this bed is better than that bed, it’s like saying red is a better color than blue !
Exactly, I have been researching beds for awhile now and everybody says different things about the same bed. One person says the douglas is way too firm. While another says it is way to soft. Everyone is different. I bought the Douglas but I have not received it yet. I will give it at least 30-60 days to get used to. I have such a hard time finding a mattress that works for me. I have spent so much on them over the years only to not be able to use them. At least with this one there is no risk as they are fully refundable.
@@thevrhouse that refund policy is a game changer and going into bed stores you get so overwhelmed by laying down on like 20 different beds in 1 hour, and I don't like having to talk to a sales person I would rather just try them on my own!!
I like the Douglas mattress's cover which is made from natural products, and Douglas has longer warranty and trial period. BUT I like the firmness of Endy. So Endy! ;)
My back is so soar when I wake up that i usually have to wait 10 mins before I can roll out of bed. I am a side sleeper sometimes stomach The Douglas seems like it would be right up my alley. Thank you for all the information you give on all these beds
As a side combo sleeper and part of a restless couple ...lol...I'd like the Endy mattress better especially since it sleeps cooler and the motion transfer is good.
Thanks for the comparison review. The gel memory foam on the Endy sounds nice. If I had to pick between sleeping cool and motion transfer, I would go for the cool mattress. Both sound great, but the 15 year warranty on the Douglas sounds better.
I just watched the Douglas mattress review yesterday, so it was still fresh in my mind, making this a bit easier for me to compare in my head. I'm in love with the Douglas mattress! Just bummed that it's not available in the U.S.! I liked the Endy mattress cover because it's fully removal, and washable. Because we are mainly side sleepers, again, I'd have to pick the softer Douglas mattress in this comparison. I really love the cooling technology of these new mattresses!!! I'm just wondering though... will that technology still keep you cool if you don't have the right sheets on your bed? What blend of sheets are the best for cool sleeping too???? I think I need to start there right now. Thanks for the great comparison!!!
It's great that there options for Canadian viewers, so they don't have to pay additional delivery fees. I would choose the Endy because it's firmer, but my sister & mother would like the Douglas better.
I would definitely prefer the Endy mattress as I would prefe the firmness of 6.5 /10 and not the 5/10 firmness...They both have gel layers that offer cooling properties also a benefit ....
I as a side sleeper like the Douglas. Also love the couples info about less partner disturbance. Also wondering how the edge of the envy holds? My husband's 240lbs. has completed busted in his side of our Serta. So very interested in durable sides. Thanks for another great review @Sleepopolis
I think the Endy for me, I am a side and back sleeper and do prefer a bit more firmness, if it is too soft I seem to have problems with numbness in my limbs pretty badly.
Endy mattress has a cool feel I like that. I still like the Douglas mattress. I need something that makes you feel cool. My hot flashes keep me up. The endy sound firmer. I sleep in multiple spots.
I don't live in Canada so I don't have access to either of these - but if I did, I would choose Douglas because it is softer and I'm a side sleeper. I also like that it has three layers of foam instead of two.
I think of the two I would choose the Douglas as while I sleep mostly on my back, my husband is a side sleeper. I've been looking at latex mattress pads to tide us over with our old mattress until we can decide on a new one but they seem pretty pricey for something temporary. So learning from you about the Elastex(?) layer has me wondering if I could maybe find a pad made of it at a lower price than the latex. I'll have to check it out. Thank you for the well made review.
Would the Douglas be ok for a strict back sleeper? -- a light weight child? I wanted nectar for both of my girls but they don't ship to Canada...they need something cooling, and one is a side sleeper and one is a back sleeper. Not wanting to invest big bucks as they're just in twin beds. ....I'll buy expensive queens when the time comes What are your thoughts ?
As a primarily side sleeper I think the Douglas would work better for me, tho I'm in the US so not sure if offered here.. Also like the 15 yr warranty, I have a real fear of foam mattresses with groove or tunneling problems. Nice review!
Just a note, I started commenting on previous videos from my other account kpoplovah26 and was unable to change my name so made a new account with my actual name as the username. Anyways, I’d def go with the endy mattress out of the two. Doesn’t seem like the Douglas mattress would be very good as I’m on the heavier side and a side sleeper as well. I do also love how the layers helps sleep cool on the endy mattress
What would you recommend for me and my husband he is a bigger guy and endy 250 pound per person doesn't apply to him. We are looking for a box bed. I was thinking Douglas due to the 300 per person but I'm unsure. He also has sleep apnea.
I like the Endy cause I am a hot sleeper. I would also say I am a Combo sleeper. I do like the Douglas cause it’s good for couples. The Douglas has a better warranty though!
Thank you for the video it helps a lot! I'm really curious about something though, i've been reading a lot of reviews online, and it stumbled upon the mattress-reviews website that says the Douglas is more of a 6.6 firmness and the Endy a 7.4?! I am wondering how is it possible that both your test and theirs are that different? yet the firmness of the Polysleep match in both your reviews at 5.6/10. Strange!
it's hard to find what mattress I should get. I'm a combo side and stomach sleeper, any suggestion? It has to be a mattress in a box because of how my house is laid out an that I can buy it in Canada
The Endy would be my choice here because I'm a stomach-side combo sleeper and it seems better for combo sleepers (as well as being firmer than the Douglas). I also like that it sleeps cool . Neither mattress may be firm enough for my needs, however, since I spend most of the night on my stomach. Thanks for the comparison!
The Endy would probably be better for me since I'm very interested in something designed to sleep cool. However, I'm not Canadian, so it's probably not a great option for me.
Looking for a new mattress. I’m a strictly side sleeper and my wife is a strictly stomach sleeper. She also sleeps on the warmer side. What would you recommend
I bought Endy first.. tried it, got a refund. Bought the douglas afterwards and it was better for me. Endy is too soft, especially on the edge. I’m a 210 lbs pound man side sleeper.
Idk if you guys know this but at no other point in human history have we slept on thick foam pillows. Every foam bed I've tried failed and caused serious pain within a year.
I hope Sleepopolis can review the Bedgear M3 mattress. Bedgear recently entered select Macy’s stores, but they’ve been doing really awesome bedding for a few years, and done well. The new Bedgear M3 mattress is the most comfortable I’ve laid on, the coolest mattress among all others including Tempurpedic, and the most versatile with an interchangeable independent suspension. It’s the best on the market after my months of searching, and I do hope that Sleepopolis can do a review and how they think it stacks up.
hahaha, sometimes there is some extra thread and material when we cut into the mattresses. I must've been holding onto some when checking out the materials.

I'm a side sleeper and douglas is firm so it won't help you. In a different video he rates the same douglas bed a 7 instead of the 5.5 in this video
4:09 I think you meant Douglas?
Yes, I can tell cuz it has the red strip in the middle./ surprised they didn't catch that in editing...

Great review with my back and hip issues I will definitely look into getting a Douglas, plus I am a side sleeper too

For cooler sleeping and comfort for combo sleepers the Endy gets my vote. Thanks again for such great detailed info!
I like the Douglas mattress's cover which is made from natural products, and Douglas has longer warranty and trial period. BUT I like the firmness of Endy. So Endy! ;)
The Endy looks like it would be ideal for combo back/stomach sleepers; plus a cooler sleep.Great for couples as well.

Endy looks bouncy! Never had the contour type of bed, Douglass bed looks great
Thanks for the comparison review. The gel memory foam on the Endy sounds nice. If I had to pick between sleeping cool and motion transfer, I would go for the cool mattress. Both sound great, but the 15 year warranty on the Douglas sounds better.
the douglas is the one for me since the summer reminded me how hot night time sleeping is

The douglass sounds great for me as a primary side sleeper. I always feel tight in the hips on a firm mattress.

The Endy appeals to me because it sleeps cool and the firmness level is best suited to combo sleepers. It reminds me of Tuft & Needle.

i have always wanting one of these. really nice
Which one is better for side/stomach combo sleeper?
I really dislike being hot while I’m sleeping, I swear these mattresses keep getting better and better

Either mattress would work for me but I would choose the Douglas because it's better for couples.
Wow, I definitely like the Andy mattress. I am in search of mattress made of the foam material for my back and neck.
These look comfy. Love my springs tho!
Love sleeping on my side these are canadian mattresses douglas is definitely nice and soft bed

I’m a stomach sleeper so I would prefer the Endy over the Douglas, but I might need something firmer than that!
I cant get the link to work for the Sleepopolis discount :(
I am liking the Endy better than the Douglas. I need that cooler sleep.
would you recommend endy or douglas for a wallbed? (Murphy bed)
Whats the best mattress for 3/4 prone sleepers?
I have the endy mattress it’s so comfy
I would definitely be an Endy because it sleeps cool! Also I shift from stomach to side all night. :)
Is your headboard from Zinus (Amazon) ? Also, what kind of mattress do you personally use?

I wonder if the eucalyptus in the Douglas assists with insomnia. I sleep mostly stomache though so I dont think this would be the one for me.
Both great prices! As a side sleeper the Douglas will be nice as it is softer! God save the queen!
I like the Endy cause I am a hot sleeper. I would also say I am a Combo sleeper. I do like the Douglas cause it’s good for couples. The Douglas has a better warranty though!

I would purchase the Douglas rather than the Endy. I'm a side sleeper and like more bounce.
If I was in Canada I would definitely try out the Douglas since I'm a side sleeper...any idea of the densities of the foams for durability?
Because the Endy is firmer than the Douglas if I had to choose just one I would go with Endy.

What about any issues of the foam cracking on top of either the Endy or Douglas mattresses? Also what about off gas problems, are there any?
You gave the douglas a 5.5 but in a different comparison you gave it a 7?... I'm a side sleeper and the Douglas kills my shoulders.
The Endy would be my choice here because I'm a stomach-side combo sleeper and it seems better for combo sleepers (as well as being firmer than the Douglas). I also like that it sleeps cool . Funny because in many reviews I see people describe the Endy as less firm than the Douggie.
With a few dogs and husband, the Douglas might be great because I get comfort all the way to the edge which is where I end up a lot of nights :-/

Douglas looks interesting but I'm a heavier, hot sleeper and not a big fan of foam.
