Thanks for the vid. Some issues I encountered were: Most likely there is a U bolt clamp clamping the DPF to the back pipe. You should have a pipe expander to open it before hand.. My auto parts stores were all out of the rentals so I ended up strapping the back pipe down by the hanger so I could pound the pipe in using a block of soft wood and a 5 pound hammer. Mine came apart easy enough but I i used a Come Along attached to the rear hanger and the front crossmember to pull it all up tight. Lotsa WD40. With everything loosely fastened I started tightening up from the rear forward. Sure took me longer than you. Funny thing was once I got the DPF off I see the previous owner had removed the screen,!!
You did a good job Gary !!! I believe I would rather weed eat than work on the exhaust!!! lol !! I really enjoy mechanic work on my vehicles other than exhaust !! So for a couple hours work while dealing with those rubber hangers, my friend I think you did great !!!!! Please be safe and God bless !!!!!! Eddy
So what's the ECU think about it.?..I've been trying to get a Hyundai Santefe running well after the DPF took a shit then the intercooler took a shit and then the turbo took a shit...These CRD's are not reliable like a Diesel used to be.
I was told the same thing this afternoon with doing the dpf and egr delete. Was told I had to hook the sensors back up and tie them up out of the way so it will idle down even with my sct live wire tuner. Trying to find out about this myself
I've seen a lot of these delete videos but only 1 mentioned dummy plugs for the sensor plugs that are zip tied. If you need to reinstall the system they'll be dirty or corroded when you got use them.
GARY, THANK YOU FOR THE INFO. BEAR WITH ME , WHAT PROGRAMER DID YOU USE TO TURN THE FUEL OFF. I HAVE A 2008 CHEVY, THAT I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO DISCONECT ALL THATEGR DPF. THERE ARE SO MANY IDEAS OUT THERE YOU WONDER WHAT WAY TO GO, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. IF YOU CAN HELP ME LET ME KNOW I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. THANKS JEFF.
The tiner comes with all instructions you can get rid of most of that puff of black smoke lower the low fuel to 2 I think it comes set at 3. Trust me don't race this engine. Unless you do race mods. Just for piece of mind, I replaced the head bolts with quality performance race ready studs. And never go street or high performance on the tuner. I usually just leave it set in stock unless I'm pulling the trailor. Trust me you will like the performance after all that junk is gone. I get about 5 miles a gallon better now as well. She will still put a smile on your face when you pass someone 😊
Why hasn't any one figured out how to gut the DPF and replace it and disable with a programmer, so it will be there if ever wanted to sell or do get a inspection?
Hola Luis, Como ves en el video tienes que comprar el kit de los tubos y reemplazar el filtro con los tubos como lo ves en el video, es todo lo que tienes hacer.
Lots of off road engines have DPF to meet tier 4 emissions standards. Not that it matters, but "off road" isn't really an out from a legal perspective,
Hey Wes! That's true, but luckily down here there isn't any emission inspection actually where I live in OK there's no inspection tags of any kind on vehicles. I'm sure if they wanted to they could get ya while your pulled over but they don't and judging from how my Duramax ran after deleting mine long ago I'd make up a spool piece w/ v-bands or something to take in and out for inspection if I had to. Going from that kind of restriction to 4" true dual made that truck run completely different. It was like it was she couldn't breath with that crap on her. Besides now I can let her idle as long and often as I want w/o fear of clogging. Can't imagine having to worry bout that, it's a damn diesel ya know Sold any machines yet?
It's his truck and he can do anything he wants. But, I have heard some stories of the EPA fining shops for removing emissions devices, diesel or not. Saying it's off road only is probably not a good defense. Just tell them it's for military use ;)
Okay do you have a tuner because when you pull your DPF off it throws a code that won't let you crank your truck cuz I got a 2008 64 and I deleted the guts in my DPF and it threw a code
@@simoncorriere8209 yeah i have run(drivers) about 30 million miles on diesel semi trucks and all the bs with a (except 7.3) with ford diesel makes it garbage, clown show
Working. Replace head bolts with quality race studs if your tuner gives you high performance. My tuner is stock, street, haul, and blow the dam thing up😱💩
HAY GARY, WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE LINES N FROM THE EX. AND THE FUEL LINES TO MAKE IT RUN ,RUN A VIDIEO ON WHAT TO DO WITH THE PROBES AND N THE FUEL LINES PLEASE THAT WOULD REALLY HELP. THANKS, JEFF
I didnt do anything with fuel lines, just disconnected the sensors and tied the connectors up out of the way. It could easily be plugged back in. The fuel changes were made in the computer, basically the whole DPF sub routine was turned off on a re program.
hey bud, out of curiosity what tune did you run? Is it a add 150 hp? or a simple tune that just deletes out the regen cycle and doesn't purposely add hp?? thanks big guy
If you have a 6.4 powerstroke the flo-pro delete with 4" straight pipe with a GearboxZ DPF-R 4.0+ for around $550-$600. It adds roughly 70 hp. Easy instructions but keep your old parts for inspection time. People say its really bad for the environment but if you look at it as going from 8.3-8.5 mpg city to 15.5-16.6 mpg city you are burning half the fuel, fouling less parts, making the truck more reliable.
Jaskaranjit, You cannot perform any mods in California, you live in a shitty Communist State that PUNISHES TAXPAYERS TO REWARD ILLEGALS. I feel so bad for you. The mods that save these engines are prohibited in California. The Democrats there think you should take the train.
Had to put an aftermarket fresh air filter on. The stock one was too restrictive. The replace air filter would come on if I passed anyone. I went with the S&B intake kit for my truck.
Jeff Hill flo pro doesn’t ship entire kits to the US anymore since their shipments were getting delayed in customs with all the epa restrictions...they’re Canada based. Check out their website
No it doesn't have to be on there for inspection as of now, but they may require it at some point in the future, so I saved all of it and the bolts, etc

@@Daniel-vq9zb it depends in what city you live in. I live in Dallas so yea we have emissions inspection. This and the egr delete gave me my truck back. With the help of the MinniMax tuner. With a high-performance air box. I chose the S&B intake kit.
I've got a 2098 f-450 power stroke diesel that needs a car delete and the computer console but I'm limited on funds and knowledge on what to get

Gary, Gary, Gary......you had an open exhaust and didn’t crank it up on camera to show the fellas how loud it is!
It isnt that loud, the 6.4 sounds like a giant hair dryer with the flo-pro delete kit, but not sick loud.
One of the best things about this is now you can save a ton on license and insurance since its off road only now! :-)
Let daddy govern you.. they care about you!

I’m have a question: it’s needed to do a reset or adjust the computer??
Or nothing at all ??

WD-40 and a pry bar to get the old ones off, axle/bearing grease to get the new ones on. Takes 35-40 minutes on the ground.
so it wont go in to regeneration anymore or did you have to get a chip programmer to shut it off.
Yes' if you delete you need to reprogram..
i know this video is old but do you still have the sensors of that cat converter?

What's the name of the tuner gary
Question there is any problem with the sensors if you put a straight pipe?
You will need a tuner to fool the ecm so it thinks the dpf system stills there

Yeaaaaaaaa that truck looks reallllll off road…..hmmm
Nice truck delete the egr also and don't drive it like a racecar and that 6.4 will last
I think the EGR was turned off in the tune, but not sure Thanks man
That shit is still going back through the fresh air then the intake fins of the turbo look at installing a catch can as well 👍
which programmer / tuner do you have on it? to read the error codes for the dpf
