So glad you got this opportunity, Trenton and Heath. Your talent deserves the recognition. Very happy that more people are being exposed to your amazing work.
So happy that Trenton and Heath at Potter and Sons in Nashville are getting the recognition as artisans and cobblers that they are. They deserve it. I love theyre channel and their insight into quality recraftable shoes.
I understand having a favourite pair of shoes and wanting them to feel new again while retaining the character of the original. This cobbler is a Master artisan and craftsman.
sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
Trenton & Heath do amazing work. As soon as the video started I recognized the glue pot as theirs before Heath started talking. They hand-make shoes too thru Southern Polished.
I'm such a weirdo, I got a little teary eyed because these are crafts passed down and we need talent like this. I love taking my boots in every year to have them resoled and seeing all the tools in the back room. Don't let hand crafted talent die. Support whenever you can!
700 dollar shoes. Constructed in the exact same way a pair of Bass weejuns are, costing just 200. I would buy a new pair instead. How much did this repair cost?
I worked in Ferragamo supplier side for 10 years.. the materials on a typical shoe is worth 10% of the final retail price. People are getting SCAMMED lol
this is a perfect case of "NOT WORTH IT!! JUST BUY NEW ONES!!" The only thing that was saved from the original was the leather skin, and even that had to be cleaned, reconditioned and polished!!
You don’t just get rid of and buy a new pair of 700-800$ shoes you get them refurbished and now they’re like new with a leather that is perfect for your foot. Same thing with really nice pairs of cowboy boots.
@@abrinkley7 well, my point is how someone would let their shoes get so far abused!! there was literally a hole in the sole so his sock was touching the pavement!! Someone actually pays $700 for shoes and don't mind stepping on dirt?!?! How does that makes sense!?!?🤔🤔🤔
@@LuisMendoza-pp9qi I agree with sentiment that he should have sent them in far sooner, but you said that he should buy a new pair which is the part I am disagreeing with.
This guy must have gotten tired of wet socks and finally decided to get his shoes repaired. :D Also since you cut the channel for the stitching by hand does the machine you use to make a channel for the stitches work only for rubber or Danite soles? Or was this a case of the leather soles being too thin to use it ?
I find it so funny when they "restore" something but practically make a completely new one like what is the point? Just make a separate one by yourself since you change almost every bit of the original. lol
The point of getting our shoes restored is to increase its lifespan and reduce overall waste associated with purchasing mass produced shoes designed to wear out within a year or two. By investing in good leather shoes you're investing in something that can last decades if cared for well. Think of the soles like tires. Do you throw out your car once your wheels are ready for replacement?
The shoes cost 700-800$ it cost 250$ to restore meaning restoring save substantial amounts of $ these shoes are fit to the wearers foot and feel like nothing you’ve ever worn.
Cool video! On another completely unrelated note Phoenix SC's channel just got deleted, he'd probably appreciate it if you went and showed him some support on Twitter after watching this wonderful video.

@Micah Khalid instablaster =)
someone worked hard on sounds
Amen!
yup
The original video have better sound
Maybe use a Bose case. I hear it makes good sounds.
He is a shoe cobbler not a audio producer at a record label. Its like telling your physician he does a crappy Brake job.
Trenton & Heath do amazing work. As soon as the video started I recognized the glue pot as theirs before Heath started talking. They hand-make shoes too thru Southern Polished.
Thank you so much! Haha...the famous glue pot. 😁
Well done Trenton and Heath. It’s always a pleasure to watch master craftsmen as they work.
Thank you very much!
This video has an epic sounding score. Sound department is still working during this pandemic. 😂
😂

Thank you very much for your appreciation of the art!
I never seen anything like this before. I absolutely love watching a Master Craftsman at work!!😊❤Great job .
They have a UA-cam channel where they do bunch of videos like this one. Look up Trenton and Heath.
Whoever owns those shoes must have waited a long time before getting them to the refurbishers
well spotted sherlock holmes
He must have really loved those shoes
Or....maybe they were purchased at a second-hand store.
Fascinating process! Amazing skill and restoration of something most people would throw away...
I wonder much those repair cost compare to the overall price of the shoe/bag etc..?
What were the nails for at 5:35?
What a beautiful restoration work, the costumer will be very pleased with the magnificent result.
Amazing ans, Fantastic Job 👍, wht Kind of shoos creme Do you Use??
Love those guys been watching their channel for a minute. Excellent work and fascinating to watch.
Thank you so much!
one of my favorite youtube channel. so satisfying to watch
thx for the music accompaniment. adds to the viewing.
👍
Fantabulous Job 👍
You guys are artists 👌
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

I wish I knew how to do this. I got a couple of ideas, myself. Nice Vid!
It's amazing how incredibly expensive and incredibly ugly these shoes are at once
When The restoration costs more than a brand new shoe
That's a master work. Excellent!
👏amazing work! And amazing shoe owner who refurbishes his shoes. 🙏
“Go buy another tube Jim!!!” Hahahahaha Sebastian Maniscalco is hilarious!
I need a shrink explaining me why this video is so relaxing and satisfying me.
I have that same pair of shoes; they’re great, haven’t worn them in years. I’m thinking about wearing them now.
So impressive, many people would of just got a new pair but there is so many memories I’m sure & he wants to keep that & restore it!🤟✅💯
That was a beautiful process
Just plain old good work Fellas. Thanks from Philadelphia
Esos eran zapatos de verdad...un trabajo noble ,hermoso, ojala vuelvan los zapateros.
I want those shoes polish. Where and how can I get them. From India . Enjoy watching your vdo.

Good job 👏👏👏👍👍👍
I really wish they could add some sound deadening in their new workspace. But still love watching their videos
I really enjoy the before and after of these video's.
Amazing. Thanks for that wideo! ❤
Thank you for watching!
Who was the customer? The BFG? those are some big shoes! Amazing job 👌
Hello good evening, how are you?
Do we have like this quality repair in ID?
Amazing work! What did you charge this guy?
Офигеть, волшебство!! Мастер экстра-класса!!!
A skill not seen much these days thank you for showing us
Woooow good Job👏👏💪🏼😃 new shoes
I have beautiful pair of shoe that needs fix how can you help me ln this?
I have the same in a bit better shape I have been looking everywhere to get them fixed again!
Potterandsons.com and we can hook you up.
Fantástico parabéns.Brasil Santa Catarina São José.
Would be very curious what he charged to do this restoration
Excelente trabalho sim profissional
It feels like a thousand dollars work for a 800 shoes pair.
this is a perfect case of "NOT WORTH IT!! JUST BUY NEW ONES!!" The only thing that was saved from the original was the leather skin, and even that had to be cleaned, reconditioned and polished!!
It’s was around $250...plus or minus a little. For $700 shoes, that’s still quite a lot of money saved.

The channel needs to be cut before you use the Blake stitching machine
I love restoration work so intriguing
how can you stitch that?
I knew I’d seen this repair on Trenton and Heath’s UA-cam channel!
How much was shoe, plus how much was restoration, divided by how many years until next restoration? Maybe I should cough up for a pair.
So the outside sole is leather not rubber (except the heel) ?! :O
is the owner broke or something? in that condition, he still wears it?
it was a $70 loafer all along.
i'm confused.... do those shoes just have zero traction?
everything about this video is amazing
Oddly satisfying to watch

Would it cheaperjust to buy a new one
MARAVILLOSA RESTAURACIÓN.FERNANDO COLOMBIA
How much does the refurbishment cost?
Like $155
His business should really be called Potter & Daughters
Where did you study to become a master cobbler ❤
Heath used to hand make shoes and learned on his own. It was a fairly easy transition to recrafting.
Excelent,Work.
Trenton and Heath do great work
Thank you very much!
Wow, Klass, , просто супер 👍🎄💅❤️♥️😷💋🇷🇺🇩🇪
I gotta say, job well done! 😲
1:15 close one 😬
Que Deus continue te abençoando em nome do Senhor Jesus.
Good
Positively
Right job
With better sound this would be So ASMR!!
Wow. I couldn't belive it. Nice
Very cool!
Why??? Is it expensive, an antique, sentimental value? why not just buy a new shoe ???
I would rather repair a good air of leather shoes than buy a new pair of sneakers
perfect job
La verdad que la costura a la vista no sirve para nada, que lástima hacer ese trabajo, podría haberlo restaurado de la misma forma
I enjoyed Trenton & Heath’s original video describing this repair. It was much more detailed.
Good work
Why not just buy new ones instead of spending another $700 to restore it?🤔
super boulot
I didn’t think the nails in the heal would be that long.
The sound in the older video's was better.. you dint need music and you do need to record in a place with no ecco
You realize they are recording in their shop.
Good job
I’m kinda dumb and unfamiliar in this community, but what’s the difference between restoring and resoling?
I think the owner got his $700 worth out of those shoes, throw those out, buy new ones and next time maybe don’t wait as long to get them serviced.
Amazing.
isso eu faço a mao sou sapateiro a mais de vinte e vinco anos e fabrico tambem amei o video
So nice
Harry Potter’s Great grandson :))
😂
Pretty much getting a brand new pair of shoes.
Cool video!

Ok but i love his name!
This is Sara corbello I have some I love them
He did a good job restoring the shoes.
So basically this bloke has been walking round in public with massive holes in his shoes wtf? Clearly he's never heard of shoe polish either 🙄
Why not just buy a new pair? Genuine question.. surely this is costly?
