It will never be Skid Row without Sebastian Bach. He made Skid Row with his incredibly powerful voice and magnetic great looks and intense energy. He was front and center.

But enjoy their last record if you like it. Probably you prefer the demos with Matt Fallon over the debut album as well. There you can see what Seb brought to the table. He wasn’t just a singer. He had attitude and energy beside the incredible voice. They were nothing before Seb and they never recorded one good song after Seb. @dr6849 Bands have a tendency to change their sound -- except AC/DC -- and you'll have bandmembers leaving because they don't want to roll with said changes. Not sure if that was the case with Bach, though I know he got fired. I have heard some things here and there from Skid Row post Slave, and I agree, they could have a much harder edge to their sound. Skid Row is a classic band much older than the acts of today, but If Lzzy, a product of the new school, does double duty with them and her own band, she could be instrumental in that.
@@johndrake2729I wouldn’t have a problem if they changed their sound but let’s get back. Before Bach Skid Row was a more a normal Hardrock Band. With Bach they got way more edge to the sound. They became heavier with every album. Subhuman Race was their reaction to the Grunge movement. Rachel chose to have a Punk Image. As far as I remember they tried to be kind of industrial when Bach left. Then they hired the T.n.t. singer. They recorded a terrible version of 18 and life with him. They hired ZP who was more of a metal singer that didn’t fit at all. They hired Eric and tried to sound like old Skid Row again and claimed they were always an 80s Hard Rock Band like all the Wingers, Poisons etc. but they never were. There are always going to be people that don't want anyone but Bach. I get it, but she's a legit fan and I think it shows. The guys seem more energized in these shows with her than they have in a long time and she sounds great, it seems natural for her, it doesn't seem like karaoke like it always did with Erik (no disrespect to Erik at all). She's doing great, leave her and them alone, if you don't like it, scroll on by the vids or don't go to shows, it's really that simple. They had a business decision to make and they made it, accept it/don't accept it, but don't hate on them and definitely don't hate on her. I can tell you unequivocally that if I were asked to play drums with any of my heroes...I'm not worried about whose toes I'm stepping on, I'm taking that gig and nailing those parts.
She’s the best decision they’ve made in years, I hope they record & continue together. If I would’ve known sooner, I would’ve traveled to see them. I hope they keep saying no to Bierk, he ruined a good thing & been whining about it ever since.
The band have great sounds but I think I have more respect for Martin Sweet from Crashdïet. Ok first time someone just left but hopefully he will be back of course Erik
Skid Row / Lizzy's voice sounds thin and cracks during riot act. But Skid Row dont care they really just want a faceless singer so their fragile egos dont get challenged.

I haven't been a fan of any of the singers since Bach left until Erik Grönwall, he sounded really good! Now with Lzzy Hale, she is doing a commendable job, what she may lack in ability to cover Bach's vocals (which isn't much) she makes up for in enthusiasm and commitment to the songs! I don't think Bolan has to defend Hale from anything but there is no denying they'd be better with Bach singing, too bad they can't get over each other and sort it out.
Lzzy is killing it, but that is here, now. That's not a long term solution. I use to understand and agree with the band's position when it comes to Sebastian. Heck, I use to defend their reasons for staying away from him. I simply can't do it anymore. The fact that they can't even get in the same room and talk no matter the outcome shows that they are unreasonable. Baz has never done himself any favors with his speak now, think later approach, but that is Baz. If I were Baz, I would just go out night after night and play a masterful show. People will just continue to post how great he sounds and how ridiculous it is that the band will not bring him back. Baz does need to get a better live sound engineer and work on getting back to singing instead of screaming and shouting to be heard. Everything posted live sounds like cousin Billy at the County fair is running sound. That beautiful trailing vibrato he was known for is completely missing because he's screaming. He sounds like a mom stepping out on the porch yelling for Jimmy to get his ass home. There's nothing melodic about that at all. It's so sad because father time is just ticking away and these guys could be together putting out some killer music.
I love Lzzy and Halestorm but really didn't think she would fit well with Skid Row, boy was I wrong. Still prefer Sebastian in his prime but Lzzy is doing a great job. Sebastian has better hair though. Lol
I saw skid row. Back in the day and was really disappointed with how poor Bach sounded. So I have never expected anything from thief vocalist after that. The last guy was good and Liszt is not the same but damn good.
I like Lizzie, when she does her own thing. She’s the complete wrong fit for skid row just like every single one of the singers after Sebastian Bach, with the exception of Eric, he’s incredible. She doesn’t have the range or endurance to sing the songs. Listen to the live performances she can’t do it. Only downhill for from here. Trying to stay relevant is sad.
I agree with this. Lzzy is usually a fantastic singer live but sounds like sh*t in the clips I've seen of her with Skid Row. I have no idea why because in all the Halestorm live clips I've ever seen, which include entire shows, she sounds freaking incredible. Probably had a sore voice or something that night. But that's what you get when you ask someone super last minute to learn a million songs and expect her to remember every lyric and vocal run properly. She was absolutely lost for certain key things in the songs.
@@jasonbodden8816 I agree. But, she did say she already new all these songs and she grew up singing them. Don't get me wrong, I dig her and she rips on her own music, but Bach was from a different universe and so was Erik. Peace!
