That is sooo not kneading. During Kneading, the practitioner grasps the soft tissues and lifts, rolls, stretches, and compresses them between the hands and the bone structures. There are over 13 types of kneading used in therapeutic massage and none of them are demonstrated here.

When we perform kneading we place our thumbs & fingertips in position, press the thumb,pushing away from us over the muscles; then without losing contact,grasp the muscles with our fingers& roll back towards our thumb. Once we have got used to the kneading movements, bring your palms into contact too, for greater effectiveness.
