(The first and last day also depends if it's in a weekend or not.) We also have 2 weeks around easter and 2 weeks around christmas. And one week in like oktober, november. And one week in march, february.

We then have a 2 week long break for an indian holiday "durga puja" a week after we have a 4 day Holiday for diwali and bhai dooj. Then winter vaca for 3 weeks. Term break or last day of school is in march after our final exams get over. Apart from that we have a lot of 1 day holidays for different indian festivals

In australia i am barely half way through the school year, bc we have “terms” and each term is from 9-11 weeks depending on the school and in between each term we have a 2-4 week break. at the end of the year, we have a major XMAS/ new year break which is around 1-2 months. we start in january / february and end in december. We do modified year round and it’s awesome, 2-3 weeks for all breaks and 7 weeks for summer. In az, it gets too hot for the kids to fully enjoy summer so I love that our fall and spring and Christmas break are longer

It sounds like you have more days off during the year but a shorter spring break. Where I’m at in the US, schools start the beginning of September but end at the end of June. So summer where I live would be about 2 weeks longer.

In the uk we have a week off in feb then 2 weeks off for Easter, 1 week off at the end of may then 6 weeks of for the summer we have 1 week of in October then 2 weeks of for Christmas breaking up around the 22/23rd of December with some returning between 4-8th of January. We have bank holidays off and schools have teachers training days or inset days which are spread out over the course of the year.
Oh so that’s how you’re already done. My school does the same kind of thing for breaks but I still have two more weeks because we don’t start school until the last few days of August.
My school is kinda weird… we can end on any day of the third week of May. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. It’s calculated by May by determining the amount of school shutdowns we have- from hurricanes, bad weather, or too cold to go to school. This year, it ended on Thursday, because we had to shut down school for it being too cold twice and a thunderstorm warning. We also have breaks such as fall break and Mardi Gras that no one else appears to have. We come back the second full week of August, so that’s about two months of summer.
