Thank you GO, I was able to use Time Marker Keyframes to synchronise video of the rehearsal (446 sec) of a piece to audio (462 sec) separately recorded for its performance. The independent FFMPEG command line program also allowed initial de-interlacing of the video and time-stretching, so its duration matched the audio. FFMPEG has a significant learning curve but repays persistence. TB
Thank you. It's now 2024 and in the version I'm using 23.12.15 not only can you name the markers, they do have that feature to go to the markers... At the top menu click View /Markers. The marker panel will open to the right and you can click on whichever marker you want to go to that marker. :)
Shotcut keeps getting better every day bro. Thanks for an awesome video. I'm under the weather so no shooting for me but I'm still learning thanks to you.
Thank you for a clear tutorial. I don't see a way of auto-sorting markers by time, as in e.g. Cubase (for audio). It seems markers must be added strictly in order. One inserted at the beginning but late in the workflow appears at the end of the Markers list. Unless there is a command I have missed.
Very nice. I have a use for this feature. I would like to see Chapter Markers implemented. Right now I am using DRAX to add chapter markers to my .MP4 files.

Sure thing Mr. T! I don't see an auto or sorting feature for markers yet but maybe in a future update.
@@GeekoutdoorsBrand Thank you GO. It's not a show-stopper of course. We're all just lazy these days, want it on a plate. Thanks for the tutorials. TB
😁
Excellent. Thank you.
Sure thing George 👍

Yup I agree that this is a nice feature! And chapter markers would be great as well.
