Next Video idea: strap locks. There are many different options, you could give an overview on what types there are and how to install. Drilling new holes into my guitar is scary and I would would appreciate the video :)
We actually made an episode on straps and strap locks. Ep. 36: ua-cam.com/video/mbu1v1ODmws/v-deo.html
I hope you'll find it useful. Cheers //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses ohhhh very nice! Danke :)
and for your Tele , get the Vibramate sadddles so you can set intonation from both sides
Another one that is an interesting non-invasive shimmer bar mod: Try a Stetsbar. I put one on a Gibson Les Paul Special. Interestingly enough, I had to abandon the Tune-O-Matic bridge to get back to the right string height level. A Jazzmaster bridge does the job well 😁.
I installed the Vibramate kit on my Tele and the Vibramate string Spoiler for easy string change. USA made B5 Bigsby. Works perfect and sounds great.
Awesome! Which tele model do you have? //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses I have the Vintera 50's Modified. Changed to Gotoh locking tuners (still the vintage look). Right now I am keeping the stock PUPs. May change those out in the future. Plays really nice.
The Vibramate looks impressive. Ide like a tele with a Bigsby!
Let's talk bass tremolo's soon. I want to build a Strat bass but don't see many options.
Thanks for the video. I noticed that the extra thickness of the mounting plate makes the bigsby handle too high. Big difference in playabilty compared to a non-vibramate setup.
Does this work for tele style bigsbys? I already have the bigsby installed on thr guitar. But I can not handle the strings popping off the fricken saddles everytime I pluck with my finger
Hey great video. Will this work wity shaller strap locks?
Do the string spoilers on their own fit a B50?
I've just bought an Epiphone Les Paul Special II. Which kit do I need pl,as it's not an arch top LP ?
Great on, I want one on my tele. But I heard that the F (fender) bigsby has a better action…
I dont get this video? I can't hear anything vibrate? The Bigsby does nothing to the sound.....
Sounds like a lot of work!!
Uno de los episodios más interesante ha sido el nº 95.
Como instalar un Bigsby, realmente interesante.
I have a les Paul special 1 wraparound bridge but not 2 saddles. Just 1 😢
Was it just me that heard angels singing when he showed the V5?
Ohh dude, the V5 + B5 is a match made in heaven. 🤩 //Kris
Did you find a coloring change in the tone?
I haven't compared the tones directly this time. Even if there's a difference, it's not a huge one. In theory it should sound a little spankier and slightly thinner with the Bigsby. But honestly, I think it sounded absolutely magical in the playing part. I felt very inspired while recording it. Cheers //Kris
Hi, does the vibramate b7 fit in a Licensed Bigsby b7?
Hi, according to Vibramate, their products are made for original US Bigsby vibratos and won't fit the licensed B70, B50, etc bridges. Cheers //Kris
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses thanks
What are your opinions on DUESENBERG trem system?
Hey, really good trems! Those are well made and well thought through tremolos (well... vibratos I guess 😅 ) that keep the tuning surprisingly well. //Kris
Go Bigsby or go home.
We also use imperial measurements on the moon but I believe our Empires use different scales, so I’ll convert to metric if I order sumpfin.
Haha! I have two guitars with a Bigsby and I can't promise that I'm not getting a third one... 😂 Cheers buddy //Kris
🤣🤣🤣
I prefer the Les Trem made by Duesenberg.
Honestly, at 4:19 I couldn't hear any point whatsoever in your installation of a Bigsby judging by the sound.
You guys should add info on your website, that they DO NOT WORK TOGETHER WITH 70 or 700 bigsby !!!!!!!
I ordered a Vibramate V7 for my Bigsby to be mounted on my Gibson Goldtop, but they sent me 4 Metric mounting screws instead of 2 metric and 2 USA thread. I cannot use the metric. Called them multiple times for help and no answer straight to VM. Great recommendation Chris.
So sorry to hear that, I never had that issue. You didn't say where you ordered the V7 from. If Thomann, write the customer care and email with your complaint. I'm 100% sure they will come back to you. There are peek times, when the colleagues can't answer all the incoming calls, an email is a safer way to contact them. You'll find the right email address on the thomann page, just click on service then on contact. Good luck! //Kris
For when your Les Paul isn't heavy enough :)
I didn’t hear any vibrato……🤷🏻♂️
right? i know bigsbys have a much more subtle vibrato than, say, a strat trem but i just didn't hear a thing with that?
