Guess you know you need to speak louder and more clearly on your next video, or have a better mike. Looks like it would a great video if we can understand what you are saying! Thanks for your effort. Maybe do a redo.
Johnny Gunz that’s not anywhere close to the full collection, I have aver 100 frames. I’ve lost count as I’ve traded some, sold some and acquired more.
It's a great hobby. Simple Shot or Pocket Predator are great places to pick up materials and slingshots as well. Also there are plenty of great builders out there who make beautiful frames.
Hello, could you please put a list of all the various makes/names you mentioned ...I couldn't hear the names properly and would like to follow up on those various slingshots...because they are nice and small. Thank you '
Michaela Hopf most are no longer being made, regretfully. The only one still in production is the Fuggetaboutit by You’llshootyereyeout. He has an Etsy and Facebook page.
Great video. I only wish you would pronounce the names of the slingshots and the companies w that make them more clearly. I'm new to the slingshot world and don't easily recognize them. Thanks!
Well, I really haven't use them much, I had them on a box and just found then like a year or two ago. Also the handle is a bit uncomfortable when I use it, but I'm not sure if that's because of the handle itself or just me not knowing how to grab it, or maybe being a bit lacking on arm strenght.
I guess you're right, altough just one really has room for reworking, since my first one was made with a branch that is way to thin to shape it using tools, it is basically a wooden Y with just enough material so it doesn't break, I did try giving it a little more shape by adding rubber bands as wraping for the handle. The one I bought on a flea market I bet can be improved since it has way more material to work with, the handle is thick, but after watching this video I can tell it was shaped a bit poorly, it was probably made more as a decorative piece more than anything, the rubber bands were good though, I just had to shorten them a bit to accomodate my draw lenght.
Since we are speaking of Slingshot designs, I wanted to ask you something, by experience, how far apart do both ends (you know, the part where the bands are attached) have to be apart? Since the one I got I feel may have both ends a bit too close together, I may be wrong, but that does make me feel like it increases the chsnce of the proyectile hitting the shaft and bouncing rather than following the intended path, wich is why I usually prefer the slingshot to be wider.
how about a video on those same frames, but cover your experience with aiming points, and with the different band setups? these are relitivly standard designs for more, I guess "professional" shooting for lack of better term. 90% of the frame is somewhat irrelivent in terms of aiming. the forks are what are important on that area, and we are seeing that they are all generally coming out with a similar profile. so what is optimal, or what can be done to make it more optimal? I'm thinking of designing my own for personal use, and trying to pay attention to the fork details. I don't know if my current frame is inferior, it is ment to use three tubes on each side of the pouch, but there is no means to run flat bands on it. this bugs me, I like having options. but most important I want an optimal sight, as I aim with a reference point on the fork. as does probably everybody else lol.
Hi there, great collection you got yourself. Can you please tell me the name of the funky slingshot shown at 7:13 (sorry I can't hear you properly) and where is it sold?
Benjamin Kepinger the frame is called the Fuggetaboutit and it is made by You’llshootyereyeout. He has an Etsy store, but I’m not sure if there are any on there at the moment. I know he recently moved and is still working on getting his shop up and fully functional. It’s worth reaching out to him through the various forums, or through his Facebook page, I believe it’s You’llshootyereyeout Bespoke Slingshots os something very similar.
Thank you, my friend. You're very kind to give me these details. I started to make slingshots about 18 months ago, because what I could find here in Romania was rubbish. Of course I am just a newbie, but I am improving. I use to make the pinch 78-80 mm, but I also made some with 65-67 pinch. Maybe I will also post vids of my slingshots someday. Thanks, again. Gorgeous pieces.
Danielx1313 a good place to start looking for slingshots is SimpleShot.com for a Maxim. The Fuggetaboutit is available from You’llshootyereyeout on Etsy. That is where I’d recommend starting. Regretfully MetroGrade Goods is currently not selling slingshots. The other frames are made from G10 and are on the higher end of the price scale.
Jeremy Tyler I remember at one point Metro introduced a sick PFS called the (Mantis) it had sold out so fast I couldn't get my hands on one. Soon after that... production silence.
The frames in the video are not for sale as most of them are no longer being made. I do have some fames for sale. Send me a PM through the forums (JTSlinger) or an email.
Regretfully most of these frames are no longer in production, or one of a kind. I would recommend looking at www.simple-shot.com for a Maxim variant or You'llshootyereyeout Bespoke Slingshot Emporium for the Fug or a few other designs. Cracked Pepper Catapults makes some of the frames in the video, though he goes in spurts as to when he makes them.
nat scobie SimpleShot.com is a fantastic place to purchase slingshots. You can reach out to various builders from the forums, A+ Slingshots is also good. I also recommend looking at Metrograde goods.
I need tips on the best and safest flat bands attachments, one time i followed this youtubers way of attaching the bands and in the first try the latex just slap me near my eye
staechelin stephane you. An look at Wasp slingshots based in England. Or the Slingshot Channel Forum, maybe they still have a store. That was is based in Germany.
The Cthulu and Three Trick Pony were purchased from Metro Grade Goods, though he has not made any slingshots in about a year. The Muscle Man is a one of a kind from Cracked Pepper Catapults (Facebook), he may have a Hexatry core to two available still. The Maxim is available from Simple Shot. The Fug was purchased from You'llshootyereyeout on Etsy. You can also reach him through you'llshootyereyeout bespoke slingshot emporium on Facebook.
thanks for sharing, Tyler. Great vid indeed. Greetings from Brasil.
I am jealous of your collection dude!
Some day I may do a collection video, or series of videos.
Guess you know you need to speak louder and more clearly on your next video, or have a better mike. Looks like it would a great video if we can understand what you are saying! Thanks for your effort. Maybe do a redo.
Nice collection!
Luv IT!! 👍👍👍
I didn't realize how many styles are available. Also, thanks for the lack of distracting music.
WOW love your collection
Jus Badd that is on,y a very small portion. I have over 100 frames in my collection.
Omg Wow
Haha... I feel better about myself now... Thought I had too many slings, but you got me beat! Great collection.
Johnny Gunz that’s not anywhere close to the full collection, I have aver 100 frames. I’ve lost count as I’ve traded some, sold some and acquired more.
This is both an impressive and expensive collection.
Very nice slingshots.

jimmy 3 I will be sure to work on that in future videos. Sadly the majority of these slingshots are no longer being made.
geze, you got frames from all the big boys lol.
I like your second one because the design is nice and can be used with flat band and tube band, where did buy that one Bro?
Honestguy cuteo I got the Cthulhu from Metro Grade Goods, however they are no longer being made.
Meanwhile here I am with an old homemade slingshot I made back in middleschool, and one I bought on a marked a while ago.
piluex2 nothing wrong with that. One of my friends always says “beware the man with one slingshot, he probably knows how to shoot it really well.”
Well, I really haven't use them much, I had them on a box and just found then like a year or two ago. Also the handle is a bit uncomfortable when I use it, but I'm not sure if that's because of the handle itself or just me not knowing how to grab it, or maybe being a bit lacking on arm strenght.
piluex2 no time like the present to rework the handle and start shooting.

Richard Peterson I generally use the middle of the band on the top fork for flats, to the tube on the top fork.
What tightens the plugs (that hold the bands) on the peppermint? Push pin tension?
ForkshooterTB the smaller frame with the tabs and tubes is tapped so the screws do right into the frame.
Ok thanks. What about the ( Forget about it) frame from you'll shoot your eye out. It doesn't appear to be a screw but a pin of some kind?
ForkshooterTB it uses binding posts that can be found at a local hardware store.
Thanks for the reply. I'm making a few frames for family and friends. I'm interested in learning new attachments.

Where you have buy
Depends on which one you are looking for. A lot of these are regretfully no longer being made.
Gorgeous slingshots. Can you tell the dimensions of the Fuggetaboutit? Width of the fork and width of the pinch grip?
The for gap is 4.5cm, the fork width is 2.5cm. The pinch area is 6.5cm. The frame is 13.5cm high

I'm looking for the very first Slingshot you showed.
Greg King regretfully SimpleShot is not selling these currently. You may be able to find some for sale on some forums or Facebook groups.
@@TheTravelingShaver What is the name of it?
Greg King the first one is a Maxim. He also had an Ocularis version. If you want a more rounded handle, you can get an Axiom.
@@TheTravelingShaver I seen those but I really like the kind that you have.

Fridget sling knot
You look like michel of vsauce
Why are all Metro slingshots archived? Everything is always out of stock.
John Kern Metro has not made any new frames in almost a year. He keeps saying he’ll make more, eventually.
Jeremy Tyler new frames, or any frames in general?
Jeremy Tyler I remember at one point Metro introduced a sick PFS called the (Mantis) it had sold out so fast I couldn't get my hands on one. Soon after that... production silence.
Frames in general. His last design (I believe) was the Oren.

The only way to get one these days is second hand, or from someone making imitations. Metro has not made a frame in years.
