Just when I was feeling sorry for Mr Peyton he goes and pulls a stunt like that! Employing what appears to be the murderer of his granddaughter but who is acquitted due to insufficient evidence ie no one believed Hannah Cord when she said she saw Lee push Ann off the bluff.
Why do people on this show have such a hard time telling the truth? 99% of the problems that develop wouldn't develop if people would just tell the whole truth from the beginning.
In that era, just blurting out the truth, especially painful secrets, to families & friends wasn't that easy or common. Remember, society still had certain expectations & standards of behavior, an emphasis on civil, non-controversial, and polite conversation, etc. The gushy, self-absorbed, gut-spilling, tell-all cable-TV generation didn't yet exist. I imagine the show hits the mark in this regard far more than we realize.
democolor42 Around the time Lee Webber began working as Martin's chauffeur, he really became more likeable to me. His new job put him in a mix of new situations and some of them were quite humorous. Did you know that Stephen Oliver (who played Lee), was actually married to Lana Wood (who played Sandy) for a very brief time in real life?
Stephen Oliver and Lana Wood sure would be nice couple, it's just that he has a negative role in the film, otherwise, actor is a nice looking guy and pretty well fitted for the romantic leads Lana is sure beautiful, but she also has very funny talk and accent which non of young females have and express in this move, that singles her out as very attractive and cute
Yup! Today 12/22/20 I'm watching this episode for the first and it finally dawned upon me that YES he is quite the looker. He should have gone on to a BIG Hollywood career.
Oh my, you’re right, the poor poodle mix, named “Puppy” by Rachel is gone, in the middle of winter. Giving her a puppy is the single dumbest thing Rossi has ever done, in a few days, it’s likely already dead. Peyton Place has so many tragedies.
+jack paustian I'm sorry, but due to a damaged disc, I wasn't able to load episode 320 (it was constantly jumping and sticking---even after cleaning it thoroughly), so I had to upload episode 321 as the next one in line. There is a note in the description of episode 321 explaining this. My apologies.
Steven talks to Martin like Steven owns the house. He was allowed to live there, not take over.
Good grief, Connie. Mix the fruit with the cereal and he'll eat it.
So Connie, wonder what you'll say when you find out that Rachel is lying about where she found the bracelet.
To Lee Webber Martin Peyton is the symbol of power and wealth!
Rita and Norman the Samaritans!
Can you imagine a Doctor stopping by your home to check on you.
My doctor did that after I have my baby in 1962
When I was little our Dr made house calls a lot.
@@nancyallen9282My Dr cks on you today if you really can’t get out of your house in 2023 on Thursdays he’s a great Dr..Every Thursday.. Best Dr ever..
Mine did….in the 60’s…,,
Exactly!
Tell the truth and deal with the consequences instead of dealing with the all the non-sense that comes from withholding the truth!

Ever heard the phrase "Keep your enemies closer?"
Must say, Lee scrubs up nice, just needs to remove that chip from his shoulder and work on that attitude

Hehe just like in real life. Some people cannot handle the truth
@@oknar1977 That's their problem.
Also by not reporting incidents to local authorities......

That adds to the drama
Weber has such a "bad guy" role, but if you take a look of the actor, he is a quite good looking guy

they were married all of six weeks in 1967......

He really is. I can’t look away when he’s on.
I wouldn't let Lee drive a tricycle down my sidewalk let alone drive me around. I hate this character lol
Night time - where is the puppy?
