  • tulasendlesssum... for more of our boat life fun! This is our boat "Neverland" that we live on full time in S. Florida with our dog Jetty. She is a 1973 Marine Trader Trawler. We are still undergoing some major projects on her but have managed to keep her very homey and comfortable. Let us know what you would like to see more of, if you have any questions, or what your dreams are all about!

I've been a live aboard for about 16 years and one thing you notice is the majority of live aboard people are happy and very pleasant as in this video and many others. Difference I've found is when you live in an apartment or a house your neighbors may not have much in common with you so you sometime don't bond with them. Live aboard people come from all walks of life but there is one common bond they share is the love of their boats and being on the water. Believe me live aboard boaters no matter you find them will talk for hours to each other about their boats. You learn from each other and You help each other. On my dock the boat owners range from blue collar workers to CEO's and Doctors. If you see them all sitting together you wouldn't know who was the very poor or who was the very wealthy because it's about the boats and the water. Boaters are tight group and watch over each other way more so than most neighborhoods. I worked as a Executive for a Fortune 500 company and now I help my neighbors with the repairs on their own boats and it's simply wonderful. There's our world and then there's the outside world of traffic jams wirh red lights, speed limits and stop signs and worst of all road rage. It's not a life style for everyone. Yes, like any change in life you have to adapt. I say out every 10 that dry it only about 2 decide it wasn't for them. All i can you want see me living on dry land any time soon.

i did 18 months in san diego. i quickly discovered that very few people actually use their boats. many of the boats were unoccupied and unused. and when they used them, it was weekends and holidays. i think that folks were appreciative that someone was around to keep an eye on their boats. it was very quiet in the evenings.

Would rather live the way you're living than in a multi-million dollar apartment in Manhattan - the patter of the rain on the roof, the closeness to nature, the view of the other yachts on the moorings, and your very happy dog... you're living a wonderful life...

    - do you prefer a powerboat or sailboat? Why?
    - what was the number one reason why you chose to live on your boat? Adventure?
    - i’ve seen many people discourage others from buying a boat to expensive money pit they’re dirty all the time the constant maintenance and upkeep should any of those really deter someone from doing this?

+Tula's Endless Summer Cool I'm considering the possibility of selling our express cruiser and getting a trawler with liveaboard potential. it's a big leap I would do it in a second but I have a wife and 9 year old daughter to think about as well. thanks for the reply and feel free to check out my channel.

So which boat do you actually live on? I’ve counted 3 so far. Tula, the Catermaran and now this trawler

Currently we are on the catamaran. You can see our videos in order by going to our channel page, clicking videos in the top menus bar, and sort by time published toward the top right of the screen.

How much should I spend on my first trawler? Is yours diesel? Thanks!

Yes, diesel. You can probably spend anywhere from 2k-40k on an older trawler. Just depends how much work you want to do...

How do you make the money to live like this? Is youtube you're only source of income? Sorry if it's rude to ask I'm just very curious. Thanks!

What would you say it costs you monthly to live on your trawler? I’m assuming the boat is owned and not on a loan. I’m a simple person, so I don’t care for extravagances.
