3:21 the reverse garden
A melee that does crit damage on airborn targets does sound like a pretty funny idea...

14:35 The guy on the cart is most likely cheating to get more points. There’s an exploit involving fake lag and being invisible on the cart that allows you to get points super quickly. Always kill spies you see doing this because they usually have cheats installed.

If someone market gardens me and uses the 'Star-Spangled Strategy' i'm going to assume that's you SoundSmith.
EDIT: Or another SoundSmith wannabe.
Or just a funny gamer

The bgm you used is so nostalgic. It's hard to believe that the Wii is almost 18 years old...
starting my summer vacation strong
Yo, have a great summer vacay, random stranger on the Internet!
The bit at 5:14 perfectly encapsulates how it feels to be killed by melee while you're 3000 feet in the air.
I have to say that the brief Gmod segments are by far my favorite new addition to your videos
12:40 This is the first time I've seen someone get 2 kills in one jump with the market gardener.
Power of the B.A.S.E. Jumper.
Have you considered making a Mann's Guide to the Air Strike?
After only ONE kill, it's literally a straight upgrade to the Liberty Launcher even if you never use the salvo thing (yes, I know "Why aren't you using salvo mode?" but some maps don't let you be always rocket jumping to make optimal use of salvo mode, so sometimes all you get is a launcher that has a little more damage and potentially a larger magazine than the Liberty Launcher. Point is, the "more rockets in the magazine per kill" is not a situational buff, it's just "you get a larger magazine for rockets until you respawn", simple as that.
When at MAX rockets and using Salvo Mode, the thing craps out damage arguably better than the Direct Hit, and I say "Better" because you have MORE CONTROL, not more damage. You can choose how many rockets to shoot at each enemy or building you intend to eliminate, so if you wanna get 5head about it you can stretch that magazine even further since each one doesn't do a gigantic chunk of damage, meaning you can minimize overkill and maximize eliminations. Probably requires too much in-the-moment thinking or just a lot of hard reads, but having one of your four to EIGHT Air Strike rockets find it's mark on a 5hp Spy is still better than hitting that same spy with one of the THREE Direct Hit rockets you have in a firefight, right? Either way spy's still very very dead after all, and being able to have the rest of your rockets do something more useful than "oops lul dead spy in the mix" seems like a big benefit beyond just the larger magazine.
Of course, if Random Crits are enabled on the server you're playing on, you probably DO get more damage than the Direct Hit even if the DH user DOES hit all their rockets and not overkill anything.
How is this possible? Easy.
The Air Strike at max kills gets an 8 rocket magazine. Each rocket rolls for random crits separately because they're not fired at the same time. Additionally, it is a well known fact that the more damage you put out in a short period of time, the higher the chance you have of rolling a random crit.
This means that every rocket that hits means the next one fired has a bigger chance to be a random crit, and you are ideally firing rockets very quickly. This leads to a lot of damage done in a short period of time, and the way the math works out means that you will reliably (but not certainly) get 1 random crit Air Strike rocket near the end of the magazine, and maybe even 2 or 3 if Gaben and TF2's spaghetti code are being generous that day.
With even one random crit in the mix, you are roughly at parity with one magazine of Direct Hit damage, (no DH crits).
With 2, you are out-damaging the DH.
With 3, you are out-damaging the DH with one DH crit (since one DH crit will almost always overkill, I'm discounting it's extra crit damage from 3x to 1.5x because DH crits almost always overkill whatever they hit unless it's a Wrangled Lv3 or an Overhealed Heavy).
Hey Soundsmith, tell you friend about a One Piece fan project called "One Pace", he may be interested in it. :)
Its a work in progress to trim out all the fluff and fat from the One Piece anime, staying true the the manga as possible using whats available. Its a refreshing change of pace.
After having finished the Fishman Island arc my patience was tested for how many times the big bad of that story was gonna do another second-wind he'd pull outta his ass and keep fighting, dragged on for two dozen episodes. The pacing of that killed what I thought was the best arc in the story so far- Then my friend introduced this project One Pace. For a working example: Dressrosa arc 118 episodes was cut down to 48 episodes!
I want a miniseries of SoundSmith and that random Pyro trying to find a bit to do but the Pyro never says a SINGLE WORD-including voice commands-until the very end of the last episode and just keeps doing weird shit for SoundSmith to figure out

1:41 this is one of my favorite kinds of funny ragdoll, where the enemy jumps towards you as you kill them with explosive damage so their ragdoll is flung straight behind you at incredibly high speeds

have you heard the good word of #FIXTF2
i feel like this clip montage highlights something the main video didn’t. while the market gardener is inherently funny it lacks one thing that hybrid trolldier can benefit from with his rocket.
funny ragdolls
i had an ADHD moment, spaced out at the start of the video and didn't really read the title properly, and so i didn't realise this was the Bonus Clips, i haven't seen the actual episode yet and it took me five minutes to realise this wasn't that
i was like huh this sure is starting out a lot more unscripted than usual
That ending was so wholesome. It’s rare for a Hightower with everyone turning friendly and agreeing to cap, but it’s so nice when it does.

It's Super Effective!
Enemy Sniper was confused in the process!

I’ve been furiously waiting for new videos Soundsmith, my urge to bust becomes stronger by the minute. It’s a crippling addiction, but one I must struggle with. You have been warned.
Thanks for occasionally timing a kill to the music, always makes your videos even more enjoyable.
I also really like the thubnail with it's posing, bright colors and just general composition.

I want to thank you so much because watchingyour previous video actually finally convinced me to go onto jump academy and figure out how to rocket jump and its finally clicked for me. 1300 hours of gameplay and NOW the game has opened up once again for me haha. Tysm
This video motivated me to give up on TF2….I’ll never get good at this game

The many things I like about this game. There isn't a set Meta or class that is the "best." Every character has a playstyle with advantages and disadvantages.
AS IT SHOULD BE
Ok, im convinced after enough hours on TF2 it goes from a shooter to a wright your own comedy
kinda sad it was a serious video and not a manns guide
New Subclass, Demotroll: Loose Cannon, Any Shield and Caber. Mostly playes like standard Hybridknight, although more reliant on primary since Caber is mostly a one-and-done deal. Signature move for extra funnies is as follows, Overload Jump with Loose Canon (similarly to Beggar Soldier), then flow into midair Charge and culminate into Caber Crit.
Did you or did you not intentionally time the music with the funny moments?
13:58 Hey, that’s me!
Sound. I have funny vid idea.
You can overload Beggars while using tank taunt apparently. It deals damage to you and everyone around. Get yo bois and do some shenanigans with it. It's so funny and people killed by it are super surprised or pissed.
3:21, can we just call kills like this a reverse market garden?
Been a hot minute since I watched soundsmith. He’s still on this same map, using that same festive rocket launcher, rocketing around to use that same shovel. Crazy.

notice how the ragdoll didn't hit the light at all.
24:10 Having watched 325 episodes of the anime I can confirm, anime pacing is dogshit half the time. But when it isn't it hits crazy high peaks.
as someone with depth perception issues, i never got a handle on spacial awareness at distances greater than an arms reach. the amount of spacial awareness you need to play trolldier is super impressive to me, even if it feels normal or easy to you. i would never be able to "be the projectile" so to speak lol

I adore slide whistle gags.
Solider but SPOON!
I wish reskins and jumpers had changeable stats. I'd love a Cow Mangler with Direct Hit stats, or a Rocket Jumper that worked like the Airstrike. Also kinda wish they had SOME anti-enemy utility IE knockback. Would be even more Trolldier to rocket jump in with 6-ish rockets, then dump a salvo that sends half the enemy team off the edge of the cliff.
Did you heard about new community-made update "Tropical Crisis project", what's your altitude about it? (It isn't the add, just asking). Also, thanks for content + waiting for " Mann's Guide to Diamondback")
5:10 that part is sending me I love it lmao
Stoping ppl from saying "1 view in 8 seconds bro fell off"
3:21 The reverse market garden.
Mmmh, there's a grave misuse of the term "funny ragdoll" in this video.
A funny ragdoll cannot be any ragdoll that doesn't explode and thus gets flailed around. There's no comedy to this, this is just a ragdoll !
To be truly considered a funny ragdoll, there must be an element added to this ragdoll that makes it funny. A common one is the pose the ragdoll has as it flies and/or lands. The ragdoll could also flail around excessively as it flies, or reach an unusual height, speed or distance, thus becoming funny. Another common funny element is if the ragdoll appears out of nowhere (from our POV, of course), or, on the contrary, disappear quickly into some Source spaghetti. Flailing around on the ground after being launched, or, on the contrary, becoming still almost immediately are good comedic element for a funny ragdoll.
But it is not a funny ragdoll if the ragdoll simply flies a little and then nothing, that's just a ragdoll !
I know this may come off as pedantic or overly zealous, but as a PhD owner in funny ragdoll, I cannot let one of the biggest content creators of the fandom spread such inconsiderate false information.

Esteemed colleagues,
I present myself as an engineer, a profession dedicated to the resolution of practical challenges. My expertise lies not in philosophical contemplations, such as the elusive nature of beauty, but in the realm of tangible problem-solving.
Consider a scenario where a formidable adversary threatens to inflict significant structural damage upon my person. In such a circumstance, I propose a straightforward solution: the utilization of a firearm. Should this initial measure prove insufficient, the escalation to a more potent firearm is warranted.
I trust this concise explanation adequately conveys my approach to problem-solving.
Thank you for your attention.
something i've noticed is that soundsmith is VERY good at this game but he will literally NEVER not commit to the funny if you do it within his eyesight.
you could killbind in a sniper duel against him, and he'd end a 30 killstreak with zero hesitation. it's his weakness, the fatal flaw programmed into his AI when lazypurple invented him
Casual meta idea : trolldier Roamer
You use the liberty launcher, panic attack and market gardener. You launch yourself at an enemy with a rocket, switch to the panic attack, shoot them, and then market garden them for 300+ damage and used the rocket you launched at them earlier to "pogo" off of them.
Probably hard as fuck.
But it's a delete button on everything but a fully overheated heavy pretty much.
I remember trying out the Cloak & Dagger cart thing on Hightower. Several people tried vote kicking once they found out what I was doing, and the other half of people in the server just went, "Who gives a shit?" And eventually booted them after they tried to votekick for the 100th time.
Hey, quick question. For some reason, whenever I hit my killbind, my corpse just stops dead (ha) in midair and falls straight down. Is there some kind of hidden setting or console command that lets me get funny ragdolls with killbinds the way you do?
"is the One Piece anime still popping off?" yes and it's fucking WILD. consider the fan made re-edit "One Pace" which trims off all of the filler plus another ~50% of the padded runtime.
wait a sec what happan too the car bruh?
