Glad that we can get such blaster in SG. With that said, I hope there will be a second iteration that listens to the feedbacks and allow cross mag and better dart compatibility. With that said the reason why a proprietary mag was need here is apparently to allow the bolt lock function. Side note: Nice patch wall
Love the review! Thank you Psyk! Dart compatibility is the only thing holding me back :( I love the fps, rof, build quality, even the unique bolt and fcu. But I already have an FDL for my long darts and have been on the search for it's evolution in short darts... My wait continues. I hope you get your hands on a Pew Pew!
Hmm some concerns and ideas. Like a 3d printed mag holder to clamp the mag lips together. So if your not using Dragon darts you don't loose a bunch instantly during mag changes. Definitely mag bumper caps. The barrel clamp being plastic worries me for longevity. XT30 battery connector, plastic adjustable stock arms, plastic barrel clamp all weird choices. But the FDL-2 was weird and then we got the FDL-3 lol maybe the MK4 will be the winner. I'm definitely going to buy one once MonkeeMods is ready to sell the Pro
Great review! Loving the patchboard background :D It seems like the future of Nerf is becoming like airsoft. It's even got a gearbox, bolt release, and open bolt functionality. Man it seems pretty inconvenient in terms of depriming/turning off the blaster. This is like someone took the Stampede and evolved it. Pretty neat. It'd be interesting to see the weight of all the darts together. Koree did analysis when Explorer was fudging FPS numbers back in the day because they were using significantly lighter darts. Sick mag catch! After watching everything I agree its good value for money. There's a lot of technology design and features in here despite the shortcomings. In the SG Nerf scene are flywheel / electronic blasters most popular nowadays?
Yes. Koree was absolutely spot on and I, too, poked fun at that. Light darts that get sky-high fps readings but travel… what, 5m completely inaccurately. Also, there are other blasters with similar mag release / catch styles out as well!
Super in depth review- Thanks for making it! I am so tempted to get one, but what's really holding me off is the proprietary magazines AND THAT STOCK SAG omfg how why???? Reminds me of a Recon or Praxis stock with all that wibbly wobbliness. Other parts are CNCed and nice... why wouldn't the stock be made sturdier! Plus, there seems to be other shortfalls in unusual places where they shouldn't be. Maybe they'll make an refreshed version later on and that will be the one to get? Would love to see this get its shelled dyed and/or hydro dipped. Bet it would look sick
Piggy’s got his shell pimped up to his favorite EVA theme! Have you peeped his yet? Also, I sure hope they’ll make these small yet important quality-of-life improvements in their next iteration, assuming they’ll have one. Also - HAPPY NEW YEAR, BOBO!
@@pSykSG Hi Psyk! It's Carl from Monkee Mods, been following your channel since the day I started Nerfing :D FYI, QWK actually did follow up on the nylon made buttstock bar. The first or early few batches of the Pro version are shipped with the nylon bars, supposed they want to ship it out asap. A pair of CNC metal bar is shipped to the Pro version buyers on a later date, in China as far as I'm aware. Not sure about oversea sales. On the Standard version however you are stuck with the nylon one lol, though I was told by QWK that the CNC alum one will be available for sale as standalone upgrade part in the near future.
@@awyongcarl8234 what about mag spring changes to allow standard half length darts to not pop out? That's right now what's going to hold me back from buying.
@@SirBrass That's generally not recommended because that can cause feeding problem with a weaker follower spring. The follower will not be able to make sure the dart is pushed up fast enough to match the speed of the bolt/breech feeding dart into the barrel.
When I connected the battery and showed you the blinking green light, the firing selector was set to “safe”. There’s no way for the blaster to be turned off, this has been confirmed by every MK3 owner thus far.
I guess it's a slight power drain and does create a circuit. I wouldn't feel the need for yet another switch just to turn that light off but I can see why some would like it.
Proprietary mags AND darts? OK that's a hard no from me. I'll just wait 6 months till another Chinese company listens to the 'cons' and produces a better one that uses Talon mags.

Awesome review, you are so thorough touching on every aspect of the blaster, thank you.
Thank you, Sybermedic! I’m glad you enjoyed the video - I know it’s a long one.

I am still waiting for a select-fire p90 styled blaster though!! Hahaha
Wow . Super detailed and knowledgeable
Thank you John!!
Happy New Year Pysk !!! Best Wishes for this year 2022
Thank you Artemis! Happy New Year too!
Was hoping YOU would review this! Peace from Perth Western Australia!

that is easy to implement
Great vid on an interesting blaster!
Thank you, Homelee!

And to answer your question - while the nerfers do build 3d printed flywheelers, springers still make up the majority at games.
Smashing out an amazing review :) keeping us informed as always :) #legend

弹匣问题其实可以利用热吹风。吹软了之后用工具捏一下弹匣抱弹嘴就可以解决问题了。
I wonder how the internals works🤔
What do you mean?
@@pSykSG I mean internals
Hey pSykSG, what about the noise level of the MK3? Is it loud compared to a stampede or modified stampede?
Way quieter!
Does a spring swap require a complete disassembly of the gear box? Or is it a quick and easy to access?
When will it be available for purchase
It’s already being sold, you need to find a way to get it from QWK.
How to attach a sling to this blaster?
all the cons shared by Psyk made me put off by challenger MK. III. I'll wait for Mk. IV
Yeah if it’s not in your specific niche, this blaster is an easy pass.
@@pSykSG nah man. Its totally is my niche. I loved aeg when i was still doing airsoft; however, cons doesn't justify the pros for me.
Where can I buy one??
Prolly QWK directly on Taobao!
Hello Is this pro model??
Wait you complained about the lack of an on/off switch but that's exactly what the fire selector switch is.

It's an overpriced, over engineered handsome looking shelf warmer. If you wanna blow that much money, go ahead.

Let’s see if they’ll listen to the cons, or insist on carrying on with proprietary accessories like some companies do.
Only time will tell!
