I've welded an entire exhaust on a car once it was painfully slow but it worked it was solid 🤣 I used a old cig weld stick welder.

You should try 2 mm 6013 electrodes and no more than 80 amps for steel, for exhausts made from 304 stainless go with 2mm max 304/316 electrode and 55 amps tops.
The difficult of welding thin stock is making the bead fast and accurate, move the stick fast in an zig-zag motion. The cleaner the cuts are and the material is close together will make less likely to draw the air and blow a hole throw the material.
Safety notes: Never touch the material with bare hands, risk of electrocution, leather gloves always, the bar of the stick holder should be next to your thumb and finally avoid bending the stick.

Excellent mate. I also have an arc welder which I can adjust 💞🇨🇦🙏 but not wearing welding gloves is risky.

I have noticed that my new multi welder, on ark is a lot more forgiving than my buzz box, it was a nightmare to weld exhaust with my old welder but haven't thought of trying now I have the mig, 😅 but I still blow holes 😆😅🤣 with the mig, need to learn to turn it down more I think, 🤣 anyway way thanks for the thought, all the best to you and your loved ones
