I installed the aFe Takeda Cold Air Intake along with HKS plugs, a JB4 tuner and a Mishimoto inter-cooler on my 22 Genesis G70. Or as some call it, a Stinger in a tuxedo. My kit didn't include the clamps to attach the system to the turbos either. I also reused the factory clamps. As they aren't on the pressure side of the turbo, any clamp will work, plus you can't even see them once everything is back in place. I didn't have any issues with the screws that connect the air boxes to the front intake. I inserted that screw first, giving it just a couple of turns to hold it in place. Next I installed the two screws inside the air box. Then did a final tighten of the screws that secure it to the front intakes. Everything went in at once, so I can't say how much power each mod contributed, but with the Map 2 tune (93 octane) the car has definitely come alive. The car's original performance was impressive. Now, there is a nice, but not obnoxious, increase in engine sounds and the power comes on in a way that guarantees an ear-to-ear smile every time you hit the gas!

@ironhyde_gt I just bought a g70 3.3T Sport Prestige. Thinking about HKS SQQ bov's, but they don't have a package, so I may have to spend $700 for both of them lol.
What is it that you open on the aFe!?
Plug on the air box to bring in more air in.
Did you install the Mishimoto FMIC before the aFe intakes or at the same time? I watched the Mishimoto install video and the boxes have to be removed so I was thinking why not do both at the same time? Seems like if I do the aFe intake install before the Mishi install I’d have to install them twice.
I had the intercooler on before. Installing the intake on the passenger side is a little tight but it is doable!
Do my ears deceive me? i feel like the AFE are louder which is strange given its a closed box design
The BOVs are definitely louder for sure. The aFe intake itself is pretty quiet.
@@ironhyde_gt So hands down you'd pick the AFE due to temp drops?
@@305Nick I think it looks cleaner too :)
@@ironhyde_gt thanks for the advice bro! 100% going for afe now
I’m running the afe’s. From inside the car I dont hear a difference from stock while driving
