This series is actually a solid idea for new members just starting the journey. All have to remember Justin invokes you to invest some critical thought into the aplication of your fragrances. Putting your best foot forward for the society you participate in.
Begrudgingly, I have to agree with you about my beloved Carlisle slotting into the Guy category. And your recommended alternative is perfect, Guy teetering on the Man category. Love the video series, Justin. I’ll be looking forward to the fourth installment in the series.
Eau Givrée is 🔥🔥🔥 love the concept of this series. You broke it down into different stages to consider and the alternatives. Great thought process behind this and great video 👏🏾
I'm a MAN, man! And I love Eros Flame! Ombre Leather & Valentino Uomo Intense are manly men's stuff. So good. Smooth! Finally, as a refined man, I love Montale Fantastic Oud. So good. Gentlemen wear this one. I wear it too. Keep up the good work, Justin. Happy Mother's Day.
I like this series. It's informative, not the same o, same o and not everybody can afford/try the mass appealing fragrances you mentioned, especially if not at say a Macys. Usually, in the NYC area, if you want avant-garde you might go to Bloomingdale's, Bergdorf Goodman, or Saks 5th Ave. for high-end smell goods. To me, this series is perfect because you give choices of the same DNA but in an off brand. Keep this series going, Justin. You are on to something. 😁👊🏾
0:50 Thanks for the love of our favourite Fougère D’Argent ❤On a less personal note , it is so nice of you to alert people of alternatives to the higher promoted fragrances. Good job 🙏🏼
Enjoy the insights on the series. My father had Eros Flame lying around so I gave it a wear. It was OK to me at first but over time appreciated how different it was. Very impressed by its staying power.
This is just a great serie Justin. Same as your series on notes or types of perfumes, but also your video's how you teach us about the community and how the hobby can get out of control pretty easily if you're not carefull. You give us a different perspective. You are a sane person within the fragcom madness, who needs to be listened to by more people.
Thanks for bringing something different to the table. I’m so tired of the “10 compliments beast, 10 if my house were to caught on fire, 10 to steal your girl etc “
Just keep in mind: it's not low. Again, these categories don't mean higher or lower; better or worse. Ombre Leather in particular, while being leather-forward, is surprisingly a fairly mass-appealing fragrance in my experience. Most importantly, as I said, I like it a lot.
I get what you mean, I would have personally swapped ombre leather with la nuit dlhomme. I think ombre leather has more of a mature sweetness whilst la nuit d lhomme is more playful in comparison. Edit: Still very enjoyable video, love the whole conepect and the alternatives you gave
This is a fun series, I like these kinds of series because it does more than just talk about the fragrance in the same way over and over again, we get to look at fragrances that might be familiar to the channel or other channels, but the way in which we discuss them is more specialized based on the topic: juvenile, less juvenile, mature, more mature.
Today I’m wearing Terre d’Hermes Eau intense vetiver. Not a single compliment and I do not care one bit! I don’t know where you’d place it in this video but lord is it ever classy man fresh to me. I’ll get my nose on Eau Givree again. I ordered a sample but I think they sent H24 by mistake which is also classy man fresh.
Lovin your groove these days. Video is highly entertaining AND informative in a real world relatable way. The series is easy to understand in a novel and unique way. Thank you for sharing!
Love it. I never cared for JPG but Eros flame I agree it is lovely, interesting and easy to wear (much more than the original and flankers). Ombre Leather is nice but too tame for me. Not familiar with Argentium. La Nuit is nice, but Guilty EDP is more interesting, still not super interesting for me. Silver Mountain is alright, but Eau Givree is by far much more interesting to me. Not too crazy about sweet perfumes but I love things like Promise, and I think it is Chante-ka-i. Carlisle is nice, Zaharoff perfumes are not available here in Dubai as far as I know. Reflection is nice but as you said, not representative of Amouage. Fougere D' Argent is just lovely and very complex. Costa Azura is also nice but more aquatic.
You are definitely my favorite fragrance UA-camr...you’re also forcing me to buy more fragrances everytime you describe one that sounds like I might love 😂 I bought B-612, loved it, and now I'm gonna have to buy Tom Ford Fougere D’Argent which sounds like I might love even more. I haven't seen it anywhere so I can't test it. You did this Justin 😅
This format of video is great. Different than a lot of content I see on here and I am all for it, so keep it coming 👍 I have to agree, Gucci Guilty EDP is really great. Has a slight bit of uniqueness that I need in my fragrance. I like the recommendations you give because they are different than most, so for that I thank you. I really have to try that Zaharoff!
At 40 I don't care about boy frags. Dude: TF Beau de Jour; Guy: Guerlain Heritage; Man: Salvador Dali Pour Homme. Similar DNA, differet takes. Great series! Cheers!
I may be completely off here but for some reason when you said alternative to Carlisle I immediately thought of Gyan from the Bvlgari La Gemme collection. They dont smell the same but I get very similar vibes. And Gyan is better formulated IMO... curious if youve ever tried it?
I don’t know why i feel like i need to tell you to try adeeb from lattafa its not a clone of anything i know at least ..i think its going to fit your taste it’s classy aromatic and western reviewers says its challenging i don’t feel that way but I’m from the Middle East so i hardly find anything challenging lol …it has a good quality for the price ..you don’t have to review it but i hope you try it…salam from jordan
I tried nishani before and to me it doesn’t smell sweet, it has this sharp ginger like bergamots smell to it I bought it due to the hype it’s good but overly hyped up
@@stayfreshproductions I love Givenchy Gentleman, I have Boisee being delivered to go alongside my Gentleman Intense. I promise I won't get too many similar scents, but I do love Iris.
Justin, I’m new to the hobby and have seen nearly everything from what to wear to the office, the club, on a date, S/S/F/W etc. My question is…What would you wear to a funeral?
@@stayfreshproductions I was hoping to get my fiance lalibela and for myself something for the office that's not too intrusive. I'm in real estate and meet people quite often
@@andreybagliy2176 Memo makes powerful fragrances. They’re wonderful, but if you’re looking to not be intrusive, they may not be the best first choice. Is there a reason why you’re focusing on them?
@@stayfreshproductions I was given a sample of African and Russian leather which I really liked and people noticed it! Saw some UA-camr recommend lalibela but if you have a better alternative for female scents in that category I'd get a sample
@@andreybagliy2176 well I’m glad you’ve already tried them! That’s the most important thing-way more important than my opinion. If you’ve tried them and you already love them, then they’re worth it. Just don’t spray heavy. 2-4 sprays is enough. Russian Leather will be better for the Summer, African Leather is better for Fall through Spring, and can be fine for Summer nights.
Or , OLD MAN. My girl hates fougeres, barbershop smells, even some green smelling scents. Tells me it's old man smelling, like eau savage and Tom ford beau de jour, which I love.
Unless you're entrenched in the fragrance community, it's highly, highly unlikely that you'll encounter other people wearing scents such as Carlyle & Ani. I do love the concept of this series, I just think it may work better with super popular designer fragrances.

Such a good video idea! Could you please do a version of this for women's fragrances? Would love to know your opinion!
