  • If your like us and prefer to camp in a beautiful place, off grid and away from the crowds then hopefully this gives you a idea on how to stay longer while not taking so many clothes. Even on a smaller trip this will be great, our kids are constantly changing clothes during the day and half way into a trip they have no clothes left.
We looked at a few different washers, some were big and heavy, some too small, some looked like they wound not wash properly.

Some great tips there - thanks. The "light clothes" is something I never considered before.

Good tip with the lightweight clothes. 👍🏽
I tend to repeat my clothes until the start producing odour or become unsightly, and that's everyday and not just camping. 😂

Yeah no problem with that, saves so much water and power, great for the environment too. Don't know why people have got it in their heads they need clean clothes every day

@@GoingOverland I have adopted the same principle at home. Wear the same clothes everyday for work until it starts to offend someone. 😊

I saw a clever idea to wring out those wet clothes , you get 2 plastic buckets with one lid , you know the ones take away food shops put out in the rubbish . You cut a hole or two down near the bottom of the outer bucket 🪣 then throw your soaking clothes inside , then goes on the other bucket with lid , then you take a seat your body weight pushes out the excess water !

That's s great idea 😀 that would have been perfect, probably the only hard part of hand washing is wringing out the clothes and that us a fantastic tip

Hi loved this video. I think the same question was asked below. Would you consider building a frame for me? Otherwise could you send some close up pics and or a drawing? Cheers TIA

Hey Richard I just found some 30mmx15mm steel laying about and just copied their shape and sizes. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of spare time but I could send some pics. Have you got a instagram account?
