The OnePlus 8 Pro, for me, is the perfect phone. I am huge into media consumption, watching videos, gaming with emulators and listening to music and the OP8's screen and crazy fast processor make for an amazing experience. I also really like taking photos on my phone and the camera was my big issue with the previous OnePlus phones, but the 8 pro is a fantastic camera, especially with the GCam mod. Been using 8pro for 2 months now. I had been using the oneplus 6 prior to this. Overall, I think it is a good phone. Nothing stands out, but everything is good enough for me. I will talk about the points that are important to me in order. 1. Battery life is ok. My morning commute is around 1.5 hours and I am constantly web browsing and playing games while listening to music in the background. During the day I will go through my phone once a while. By around 5pm, my battery will be at around 40%. Personally I don't feel comfortable with my battery is below 50% since I live in China and the phone is used for EVERYTHING. So I charge it up for 20min before I leave work. One of the best things about the 8pro is the warp charge. in 20minutes, I can get back to around 80%, which will last me for the ride home and rest of the night. 2. Screen is good and bad. The image quality is excellent. Personally I think the 120hz is great, but I have decided to turn it off to save battery. I manually turn it back on when I want to play games or whatnot. The bad part is the curve. Just like what the blogger said, I constantly finding my palm hitting the side of the phone and opening up random apps. Even sometimes when I am trying to select something and it doesn't respond, it is because a tip of my finger is touching the side of the screen. It gets annoying at times to the point where I am consciously aware of it. 3. Operating system. Since I got this phone in China, I am using the hydrogenOS. This is one of the main reasons why I chose oneplus over xiaomi or huawei. I enjoy their fast updates and minimalistic design. However, there are times where my apps would freeze or crash. This hardly ever happened on my oneplus 6 or pixel 2plus. One last thing I want to say is this phone is long and heavy. After holding it up for an extended period of time, your arms will get tired. Of course, every phone has their faults, in my opinion, there is no phone out there that I rather have right now than the oneplus 8 pro.
@@pavan.11 I did not experience any display problems. Although lately the screen freezes like it is loading a page when I am browsing. I switch apps and come back and everything is fine. Although I feel like if I waited 2 secs, it would've loaded, but still it doesn't feel right.
@@juvenalmachado7693 I do use a case, it is thin and it doesn't cover the sides. So yes the accidental touches still exist. It just makes holding the phone with one hand extremely difficult at times. Still, this is just nitpicking.
Great video, I believe long term use review are more relevant than new entries poducts. It gives a closer feedback to what common user will experience, software fix and everything.
I'm using the 8 5g and I love it I keep seeing people say the camera isn't flagship but with the GCam apk it looks nearly identical to a pixel plus it's God tier at connectivity with 4x4 mimo 5g antennas and wifi 6 with the ability to do wifi 6 hotspots
5:44 I think this happens only when you have the option enabled for face unlock to brighten the screen in the dark. It definitely is super annoying & just pokes your eyes. I have it disabled & happily use the finger print to unlock in the dark.
Glad to read this, I just ordered one and was going to cancel if this was a normal thing! I hate bright phones in the dark. So the fingerprint sensor works well then too?
Completely agree with the review asides the fingerprint sensor. I've been using the phone for 3 months now and didnt have any issues with the fingerprint sensor ( yeah the screen brightness thing used to be annoying but after an update only the sensor area lights up now and my finger covers this area anyways). I also like curved displays so thats not an issue for me but I guess that's down to personal preference
I have small hands and use a two handed use of my phone. I used one hand with my OnePlus 7 Pro and dropped it. So I don't take anymore chances. I also just downloaded the Android 11 open beta 1 and love the new look. Many people think this is a copy of one UI, but I really don't care that much about that I just enjoy the phone it's very snappy fast and wonderful. There are a lot of nice new features in Android 11 and oxygen OS 11. The new look is very nice and still a very OnePlus feel. That's my thoughts have a nice day. Thank you for your hard work on this video and looking forward to the next.
Loved the photos you took, nice to see a reviewer taking some QUALITY images with the phone, not just photographing any random 💩 😆. Love your photography style.
any idea how many years oneplus 8 will last until it breaks or don't work no more? I usually keep the phone until it breaks and I get a new one. how many years did previous oneplus last?
My note 9 had its GPU drivers burn my screen (green tint now). Many people are having the same issue, I bought the OnePlus 7 Pro just because of full screen. I can't believe the 8 Pro went back and made hole punch when they had the best front camera in the industry with the 7 pro
Why do you always go to the top end of the screen to get down the notification bar? I mean its oxygen os you can just swipe anywhere you want on the homescreen to get it down
I have subbed to this channel after this review. I have watched so many phone reviews over the past weeks...Man...It's hard to find people who are honest. And show the whole picture. Thank you so much. This is a great find. I trust these reviews going forward - you have a new subscriber!
Used the 8 pro for 2 months n some days, upgraded to it from OP3 of 2016. Overall it's a great phone, good battery life, great specs & best of all you can take it out for a swim.👌 Also for me the curved display gives it a premium feel. This is set to last 4 yrs & then I pick myself the OP 12 pro.😉
Don't have the slightest problems with curved edges and random touching, neither the under screen fingerprint sensor, works every single time smooth and quick. This is a killer phone in any aspect, had mine since the very first release date.
So as of now, October 15th 2020, a used mint condition OnePlus 8 Pro is about $750, while the Samsung Note 20 Ultra is around $850. Which is the better purchase?
Man, going back to this review again and again. This is my dream phone, I mean, the looks and everything is so gorgeous. Currently using the s21plus and I'm thinking of swapping it for this. I don't know if it's wise or what, but just thinking of it.
I love my 8 pro , I got it after 10 years of iphones . Gotta say I haven't had finger print issues . The screen is great for content which I see a lot on my phone
Watching on OP 8 Pro, and can agree with the entire video, the phone has its quarks but I don't regret getting the max out version, it's an awesome device.
I've been debating on getting this phone for months. Now it is $100 off and I am even more considering it since I get a student discount too. It's just such a lot of money still. My last Huawei was $400 and it has lasted me over 4 years now, but since it is not being updated in the US anymore, I need a new phone. I might cave and buy this.
Still rocking my OP5. Apart from the camera (obviously cameras have gone ahead) i love the Phone. Fingerprint sensor at the front is comfortable to me. Still runs buttery smooth with no issues. So, not planning on upgrading anytime soon.
I got a Oneplus 7 pro mint for $250. 90hz screen is more than enough esp no hole punch camera! I hoped that they would keep that on the 8 pro, so i'll be sticking with my 7 pro
I plan on making the jump from iPhone 11 to this. I feel like this has lots of features I'm missing out on a lot of features like the in-screen fingerprint scanner and higher refresh rate. Worth the jump?
I just wanted Oneplus 8 pro specs in non-pro body..... I love the form factor & weight of oneplus 8, thats why i bought it! I wish it had good cameras, Still happy!
Still rocking my OP5T. OP8 Pro is very tempting, but I will wait and see what next year's OP9 is gonna offer. Hopefully, they have fixed the issues with OP8 and gone away from the curved screen.
@@raresmacovei8382 The 5T is still a decent phone yes. But the camera is of the reasons upgrade. The 5T will then be given to one of the kids instead. And hopefully, it will survive the next 2-3 years.
Is it worth buying it know after OTA updates regarding the screen issues? Is everything perfectly settled in the never settle op8pr0? How about it's IP rating test?
I think this phone is the perfect combination between resolution and high refresh rate. Never seen any other phone like this, honestly. But still I would prefer a side mounted finger print sensor than the on screen finger print scanner. Great review, really like it.
I have an s21 ultra on pre order. It comes with a neat 200$ bonus so I got all the necessary accessories with it. I currently use a OnePlus 7 pro, but I'm considering buying an 8 pro instead of the s21 ultra. Is it worth it to save the extra 400-500$? I'm a camera junkie and the one thing that interests me in the s21 ultra is that amazing camera
Personally I've been using the OP8 Pro since it comes out, Overall it's a great phone. I agree with you about the curve display which is annoying sometimes, but about the fingerprint sensor it works for me every time to be honest. The only issue I'm facing right now is with google chrome on my phone, it's laggy and sometimes it stucks for some unknown reasons and I have to close chrome and to reopen it again. I have faced the same issue of chrome on my previous OP6 and I have seen a lot of people in OnePlus community app talking about the same issue. But overall I really like the phone, basically it's a beast 🔥 ( Sorry for my average english btw 😅 ) Keep up the good work, I love your videos.
Are you noticing any screen tint issues or ghosting along the top bar with battery etc? This has been a huge problem with the OnePlus 8 Pro users. It terrified me from buying the phone. I guess there is terrible green tint that can turn magenta due to software. Then the glass has ghosting along the top so you always see the notification bar. In low dim settings the colours are totally wrong, and then they just adjusted it so the dim setting is no longer dim, it's still bright. Has anyone got this phone recently and avoided these issues?
Please help me out. I come from 7 iphones and never been with Android. I want to try something new. I am between Oneplus 8 pro or the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Which one do you recommend me? And why? Thanks!!
Been using oneplus 8 for almost a month now. I love how it feels in the hand. The 90hz is silky smooth, love the Oxygen os so much that instead of buying other brand i stick on the oneplus. Man why every reviewer hates this phone? I don't get it. Its not that bad the SoC is really great the camera is pretty good specially the nightsight. Give OnePlus 8 some love! Also has a not so aggressive curve edges which most reviewer prefer. ✌️
@@sarveshsivakumar6993 and still they hate oneplus 8 those who recommend 7T and 7T pro are the ones who never used the phone. Just plain watching phone reviews 😂
I just got mine literally a week ago, and I haven't had any issues with the fingerprint scanner at night as my thumb covers the entire sensor, and I have a pretty decent case from Amazon that completely nullifies the accidental touches with the curved display, so maybe that might help for perspective buyers.
Are you noticing any screen tint issues or ghosting along the top bar with battery etc? This has been a huge problem with the OnePlus 8 Pro users. It terrified me from buying the phone.
@@kzgc8y3n not at all. The only issue is palm rejection without a case, but I like the curved display so I'm okay with it. I have had it for 2 months now, and I've gotten use to holding it so that I avoid accidental touches. But not ghost touches or weird tints whatsoever.
I bought an 8 pro right away, coming from Samsung. I had to get familiar with it first, but now, I really love it. First of all - the color: I have the green one, and OMG!!! it's gorgeous! I got the 12GB/256 GB one so in terms of specs I'm happy with it. the display is great, but I don't like that the brightness, at its minimum, it's still kinda bright (at least, compared with the Samsung I had) and also, the same thing with the fingerprint - for me it's working flawlessly, but the sensor gets too bright. overall, I'm happy with the choice I made (between Oneplus 8 pro, Samsung 20+, and Xiaomi mi 10 pro)
Congrats, same for me am still looking forward s20+ & OP8 pro But Did you face any screen issues ( black crush, green tint ) ?? I need to know cause 99% of people said they returned their phones, So am confused :/
@@BigBossYounus hey! to be honest, I faced no issues until now! the only thing I don't like about the screen is that even at minimum brightness, it's still kinda bright
I was "fanboy" Samsung Galaxy S...and I had a lot of smartphones Galaxy S but my last was S10 considering I live in Europe I was forced to buy Exynos but anymore. I want to have charger in box...I have bought OP 8 Pro recently and Snapdragon is ultra fast and oxygen is amazing although I get used to using still.
First time here and you got a new sub. I love the tone you use to explain, it's like a casual conversation. Yesterday I saw a video at .75 speed because the guy was speaking so fast I couldn't understand. It was like trying to read the credits at the end of a movie.🤯
I bought the OP8Pro in december, and after 7-10 days it had burn-in and insane image retention. Oh and it also has the green tint thing. So even after after all the updates, and a later production date, it still seems to have issues. I managed to get rid of most of the burn-in via anti burn-in apps, but the image retention is annoying. Static images, even just being static for 10 seconds or so, will stay visible for another 5-10 seconds, specially on a grey background. The curved edges isnt much of a problem for me, as I use a case on the phone. Edit: Because of the insane image retention on this phone, I would be very carefull with gaming on it.
Mine is a bit quirky now, Wifi/4G issues and the battery is only at 83% max capacity, which is fine after more than 3 years. Don't wanna lose my headphone jack...
I love this phone I sold my iphone 11 pro and bought this one. iphone has better camera but I still enjoy this camera it's not that far behind. There are a few things including what you said that I would complain about as well but I give it a solid 9 overall.
I currently own OP5 and with news of no OP8T Pro and your fantastic review along with pictures I convinced to buy this over OP8. Specially considering that wide angle of this phone is same sensor as OP7T. Great review! Subbed.
For the problem with the fingerprint blinding situation... On my 1+ 7 pro only the fingerprint scanner itself lights up, which is coverd by the finger, so it doenst blind me at all. So if the entire screen gets bright on the 8 pro, why dont you just use a black picture as a lock screen wallpaper?
As an owner of both an iPhone 11Pro Max and a OnePlus 7Pro, I enjoy WARP charge waaaaaaaay more than wireless charging. These phones have amazing battery life, so I don't really need wireless chargers all around the house to keep up. What I can say is that, as a long time iPhone user, OnePlus delivers the best android experience I have ever tried. I've wanted to leave iOS for a while, but I don't like Samsung's software and implementations, and Google's is really good, but the Pixels ALWAYS have hardware problems. Just look at the batteries on the Pixel 3 family. The weakest link of OnePlus has always been camera performance, but the 7Pro I have produces amazing pictures with gcam... so I can bet the 8Pro's are even better. So if you're thinking about jumping the boat of just trying OnePlus as a brand, just do it. You'll definitively find an amazing product made to perform fast, and to last.
Strangely I've had none of the palm rejection issues but maybe it's because I used a Galaxy S7 Edge for years previously and learned to deal with it? I also don't have any functional issues with the fingerprint scanner but you're definitely right about the flashbang in the dark. Best phone I've ever had.
Im a OP6T user right now, I really like the user experience and I would like to upgrade it, but I'm not sure if I should go for the 7T Pro, the 8 or the 8 Pro
I own OnePlus 8 pro and there are 4 cameras for start, the filter camera in my unit at least doesn't work at all, the software just takes the regular camera and put a regular filter over it. At the first 2 weeks the filter camera worked just fine but after that it stopped.
Oneplus patched the filter camera out because there was some wonky business (being able to see through some materials) with it. Not sure when they will bring it back.
@@Eiensakura I know that, but in the beginning I could have seen fabric and other materials in different colors using the unique camera but now I see this awful filter that is just a regular filter over the main camera. When I enter the filter below is written that there is a need for more light, this message is written always when I'm using this filter option and no matter if I'm in a dark room or at 1 PM outside.
Even all these months later, I think it's safe to say this is the best Android phone on the market. If only manufacturers would start making smaller flagships again, like Apple does.
Unless your phone is beyond use, I'd wait the 3 weeks for the 8T to launch to know whether it's got anything extra that'd make up the difference for you. I've got a Note 8 and am in the same boat, screen just cracked, but I can still use it just fine. So I'm gonna hold out
I think the selfie cam is actually better on the 7pro. The bigger sensor on the pop up camera generates decent results. On video too. Weird thing is that the eyeline is well above the screen which make it awkward looking directly into the lense. Still loving mine.
Using oneplus 8 pro Battery life was good for 6 months and then it went down hill from then on, getting 6h screen on time only What is everyone's screen on time like?
I have not had any issues with the curved screen and hitting it with my palm but I do have a one plus case on, has ever happened? yeah I'm sure it has but I know having a 7t I've put my finger over the screen before and didn't mean to touch something and all of a sudden an app opens up, it is what it is, it's a great phone super fast, super good picture quality, wireless charging is great, I've had it now for about a month and I literally have no complaints I'm running the Android 11 beta and it's even working great. I have run the one plus launcher and the Nova launcher and the Eva launcher and even the pixel launcher with Hardly no issues. The camera on this phone is more than enough for what I need, family pictures, I make a lot of my own wallpapers with the micro camera and it works really good, if I want great quality pictures I'll go buy a camera but for what I get on this phone it's very good I have no complaints, my family loves the pictures that I send them and my daughter has a iPhone 11 and when we both take pictures of the same thing she usually uses my pictures on Facebook so what does that tell you
I got the op 8 pro a few days ago, I have a display issue but only at minimum brightness otherwise this phone is amazing like I love how fast it is and how beautiful the display is, haven't tried the cameras yet but I have taken a few shots and it looks promising.
Partially agree: the ultrawide and its macro mode are (still) simply crazy. The main camera is excellent and can compare to the best of 2020 until now! The telefoto, on the other side, gives good to descent results in 3x to 8-9x, depending on light. It can sometimes even outperform the Note 20 (in Detail), before the periscope jumps in, but still they should have gone a bit more premium in this lense... The lightning of the fingerprint scanner is arguably annoying in darkness. Though I love the edges, they allow for this beautiful huge screen to be narrow enough for one-handed handling and they look great! Never had issues with "crushed-blacks" in dimming and the screen (set at 120Hz) feels constantly smooth especially opposed to the Note 20 which really looks like it changes often between 60 and 120Hz! The haptic vibration is perhaps even a bit too strong for my taste!
Not gonna lie the pictures you took were really legit though ✨
Yup too legit

Your photos look so legit! I'm getting the 8pro this weekend, upgrading from my 3 yr old 6T. So excited!!
Where did you got the gcammod?
5:44 I think this happens only when you have the option enabled for face unlock to brighten the screen in the dark. It definitely is super annoying & just pokes your eyes. I have it disabled & happily use the finger print to unlock in the dark.
I was about to write the same. The brightness peaks when you use face unlock mechanism in dark environments
Correct.
Glad to read this, I just ordered one and was going to cancel if this was a normal thing! I hate bright phones in the dark. So the fingerprint sensor works well then too?
@@SheaHarris yes it does without any problems
@@fj717 Got mine today and the fingerprint sensor almost never works. 😕
Which wallpaer app ur using in ur one plus 8 pro.great review btw
I just ordered mine! Can’t wait to get my hands on it! Thanks for the review! :D
@@Andy-pm6rp 8 pro is actually on offer at least in Canada right now lol tempted to pull the trigger

Enable Hyper motion smoothing in the laboratory settings to overcome that.
Definitely one of my favourite phones of this year.
Great production quality as always!
My note 9 had its GPU drivers burn my screen (green tint now). Many people are having the same issue, I bought the OnePlus 7 Pro just because of full screen. I can't believe the 8 Pro went back and made hole punch when they had the best front camera in the industry with the 7 pro
That was made to have water resistance, the pop-up front camera doesn't allow this.
Why do you always go to the top end of the screen to get down the notification bar? I mean its oxygen os you can just swipe anywhere you want on the homescreen to get it down
Not if you have gesturs set up to do something else
Haha Fo-sho
I guess he didn't try it
I have it set up so that the notification bar comes down when i hold the back button
That trick even works on my s10 now...forgot where I changed it long ago.
I have subbed to this channel after this review. I have watched so many phone reviews over the past weeks...Man...It's hard to find people who are honest. And show the whole picture. Thank you so much. This is a great find. I trust these reviews going forward - you have a new subscriber!
Biggest mistake i made was choose the Zenfone 5z over the Oneplus 6 just because it did not have a Micro Sd slot.
Used the 8 pro for 2 months n some days, upgraded to it from OP3 of 2016.
Overall it's a great phone, good battery life, great specs & best of all you can take it out for a swim.👌
Also for me the curved display gives it a premium feel.
This is set to last 4 yrs & then I pick myself the OP 12 pro.😉
Switched from the 11 Pro Max to this and never been happier!
Why??
Don't have the slightest problems with curved edges and random touching, neither the under screen fingerprint sensor, works every single time smooth and quick. This is a killer phone in any aspect, had mine since the very first release date.
I still have the 7 pro, yes the finger print sensor is 99% working.
Watching this on my blue OnePlus 8 Pro
So as of now, October 15th 2020, a used mint condition OnePlus 8 Pro is about $750, while the Samsung Note 20 Ultra is around $850. Which is the better purchase?
Man, going back to this review again and again. This is my dream phone, I mean, the looks and everything is so gorgeous. Currently using the s21plus and I'm thinking of swapping it for this. I don't know if it's wise or what, but just thinking of it.
I love my 8 pro , I got it after 10 years of iphones . Gotta say I haven't had finger print issues . The screen is great for content which I see a lot on my phone
are you facing any display issues, please reply...
Get the op9 pro. Launching in March
I just wanted Oneplus 8 pro specs in non-pro body.....
I love the form factor & weight of oneplus 8, thats why i bought it!
I wish it had good cameras,
Still happy!
Same
8T will have same primary camera as 8 pro+120Hz screen
The 8's camera is fine.installing gcam made it amazing tho
Still rocking my OP5T. OP8 Pro is very tempting, but I will wait and see what next year's OP9 is gonna offer. Hopefully, they have fixed the issues with OP8 and gone away from the curved screen.
Same here 👋
It will be a monumental jump from 5T to 9. Then again, isn't the experience still pretty much perfect on the 5T? Camera aside.
@@raresmacovei8382 The 5T is still a decent phone yes. But the camera is of the reasons upgrade. The 5T will then be given to one of the kids instead. And hopefully, it will survive the next 2-3 years.

Which phone is good for video shooting (day & night)?
You can turn off the unlock animation if the Fingerprint reader. Helps a lot avoid blinding you.
But overall I really like the phone, basically it's a beast 🔥
( Sorry for my average english btw 😅 )
Keep up the good work, I love your videos.
I have same issue on Xiaomi Mi8 with Google chrome. And I had hopes, that on my new Oneplus 8pro I won't face with this issue :(
There are really few UA-camrs whom I love and admire for their accent. You are one of them. ❤️
My perfect phone would be all high end specs, totally symmetrical design with a flat screen, and no camera hump. Come on OnePlus, I’m counting on you!
AND the finger sensor on the back
Are you noticing any screen tint issues or ghosting along the top bar with battery etc? This has been a huge problem with the OnePlus 8 Pro users. It terrified me from buying the phone. I guess there is terrible green tint that can turn magenta due to software. Then the glass has ghosting along the top so you always see the notification bar. In low dim settings the colours are totally wrong, and then they just adjusted it so the dim setting is no longer dim, it's still bright. Has anyone got this phone recently and avoided these issues?
Can’t decide if I should go for the 8pro or 8T?
Nice review bro , so far the best pictures i've seen which were taken with that smartphone , Just incredible
I'm still using it on android 9, worth updating to 10? I heard issues with optimization?
Please help me out. I come from 7 iphones and never been with Android. I want to try something new. I am between Oneplus 8 pro or the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Which one do you recommend me? And why? Thanks!!
What smartwatch would work best with the oneplus 8 pro?
Been using oneplus 8 for almost a month now. I love how it feels in the hand. The 90hz is silky smooth, love the Oxygen os so much that instead of buying other brand i stick on the oneplus. Man why every reviewer hates this phone? I don't get it. Its not that bad the SoC is really great the camera is pretty good specially the nightsight. Give OnePlus 8 some love! Also has a not so aggressive curve edges which most reviewer prefer. ✌️
Same using oneplus 8 for 3 months and the camera performance is way better now than how it was when it got released
@@sarveshsivakumar6993 and still they hate oneplus 8 those who recommend 7T and 7T pro are the ones who never used the phone. Just plain watching phone reviews 😂
@@daft212 yeah now everyone will recommend the 8 after it recieves a price cut when 8t gets released
Congrats, same for me am still looking forward s20+ & OP8 pro
But
Did you face any screen issues ( black crush, green tint ) ??
I need to know cause 99% of people said they returned their phones, So am confused :/
@@BigBossYounus hey! to be honest, I faced no issues until now! the only thing I don't like about the screen is that even at minimum brightness, it's still kinda bright

That's so sad
I was "fanboy" Samsung Galaxy S...and I had a lot of smartphones Galaxy S but my last was S10 considering I live in Europe I was forced to buy Exynos but anymore. I want to have charger in box...I have bought OP 8 Pro recently and Snapdragon is ultra fast and oxygen is amazing although I get used to using still.
First time here and you got a new sub. I love the tone you use to explain, it's like a casual conversation. Yesterday I saw a video at .75 speed because the guy was speaking so fast I couldn't understand. It was like trying to read the credits at the end of a movie.🤯
one plus 8pro or iphone11?..give me better sagetion plz...
This is such an amazing honest review.
Did your unit heat up while gaming on it?
I have been using the Oneplus 5 since its release. My phone is still fast and reliable like when I first got it, no lags or stutters or anything.
Mine is a bit quirky now, Wifi/4G issues and the battery is only at 83% max capacity, which is fine after more than 3 years.
Don't wanna lose my headphone jack...
I wish Eber would do more phone reviews. As far as big UA-cam tech channels go, he's probably the best one
Great video as always. Do you use android or iOS as your daily?
Curved display i really love this...i think this personal matter and in display fingerprint works really fine
Or just tap the fingerprint scanner without waking the screen up first?
Maybe modders will bring the photocrom sensor back! I personally love that thing.
3:10 this wouldnt be a problem if you use a case.
1 thing i can't move on from OP 8 Pro is that colour you have on it's so nice
Strangely I've had none of the palm rejection issues but maybe it's because I used a Galaxy S7 Edge for years previously and learned to deal with it? I also don't have any functional issues with the fingerprint scanner but you're definitely right about the flashbang in the dark.
Best phone I've ever had.
I bought the One Plus 7 Pro this week, comming from the 3T.
I waited long enough and I didn't like the (double) punch hole.
So I went for the 7 Pro :)

Great review.Thank you! Finally somebody mentioning if I can take 4K with all lenses!
Does the screen get as bright as iPhone 11 Pro? Because I’m thinking of getting oneplus 8 pro.
Even all these months later, I think it's safe to say this is the best Android phone on the market. If only manufacturers would start making smaller flagships again, like Apple does.
Wonder if I should switch from my galaxy 9+ to the 8 pro or the 8t.
Unless your phone is beyond use, I'd wait the 3 weeks for the 8T to launch to know whether it's got anything extra that'd make up the difference for you. I've got a Note 8 and am in the same boat, screen just cracked, but I can still use it just fine. So I'm gonna hold out
Your voice is soothing with clarity...keep it up mate
I think the selfie cam is actually better on the 7pro. The bigger sensor on the pop up camera generates decent results. On video too. Weird thing is that the eyeline is well above the screen which make it awkward looking directly into the lense. Still loving mine.
Using oneplus 8 pro
Battery life was good for 6 months and then it went down hill from then on, getting 6h screen on time only
What is everyone's screen on time like?
Are all these footage edited or directly from the phone?
Watching on OnePlus 8 pro ❤️
The camera on this phone is more than enough for what I need, family pictures, I make a lot of my own wallpapers with the micro camera and it works really good, if I want great quality pictures I'll go buy a camera but for what I get on this phone it's very good I have no complaints, my family loves the pictures that I send them and my daughter has a iPhone 11 and when we both take pictures of the same thing she usually uses my pictures on Facebook so what does that tell you
You earned a subscriber man. Brilliant review.
I got the op 8 pro a few days ago, I have a display issue but only at minimum brightness otherwise this phone is amazing like I love how fast it is and how beautiful the display is, haven't tried the cameras yet but I have taken a few shots and it looks promising.
Man...The photos you took are Bananas..🔥
