Krissssss!!! Lol. I throughly enjoyed this video! You and your locs are absolutely beautiful! You may not know this, but you were one of my biggest inspirations for going bigger this time with my locs. I love thick locs, and you wear them so well. Thanks for sharing this video. Hopefully you drop some more, because UA-cam needs this aesthetic...okkkkk!!! Lol!!😍☺️😂
Awwwwwwww sis! That makes me smile so hard! Your hair is so beautiful and your journey inspired ME! As well as your new journey! Aesthetic Femme Wow, really?! Awww, thank you so much sis 😭❤️. I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this. No worries, we’ll be patiently waiting Queen😊.
@@NaturalNirvana you are a pretty woman and you have beautiful hair. Im letting my hair grow out so i can get coils and i don't know if ill let my. Hair get that long enough to get dreads, and i dont know if ill look good with dreads. What made you to decide to let your hair grow and get locs?
I'm so inspired. My spirit keeps telling me go for it. It's just the changes that I need to get use to but Im definitely ready to embrace my natural self. Went back natural 2yrs ago. Locking my hair is the next step
Hey guys! There’s alot of comments on this video some I responded to but ALL I liked, I do appreciate the love , super cool you all love my journey so much and most of all I’m estatic that you all were able to be INSPIRED while on your own journey. I’ve done my job! ❤️❤️❤️
*Im about to give up I started my loc 2 1/2 years. And are 12 inches long. But I was hoping to had 16 inch locs lengh instead. Im so tired. I think my hair growing too slow.*
Love this. You have been a natural hair inspiration for years, from loose natural to locs. The thing is your attitude-you are so relatably country, funny and down to earth, giving us the real at the same time as you inspire. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!
The so called "ugly stage" was a challenge for me as well. It was a sink or swim phase. It forced me to face my self esteem issues and brought forth self love and appreciation. Im 9 years strong and I am happy i continued my path. Beautiful video and you are beautiful Queen!
When you said that first year was rough I was like “Whaaaat!?” Your first year you look SO beautiful. (You looked beautiful with all the styles but you know what I mean lol) Also your locs are so beautiful 😍😍 x
You've gotten more beautiful through the years...I love black women! I'm taking out a set of locs now that I've had for 6 years because it's too many of them and I'm over it lol. I'm going the thick route next time!
This just popped up on my recommend! Loved it! I don't have locs but my sister has grown hers. Im natural tho. Love ur hair journey. Beautiful hair and so fun to see ur journey! Congrats to ur pregnancies! Babies really help growth too! Ur hair is amazing, long, healthy, and inspiring! God bless u sista! 😘🙏😉and ur so pretty too!
There is no such thing as an ugly stage. It's as if if our hair isn't snatched and laid but truly natural and raw we consider it ugly. I believe growing locs will force us to see how beautiful our hair truly is in its raw form. It will force us to truly love ourselves more than ever. The frizzy phase will show people's true colors in how they see themselves in their raw state and force us to fix our minds. Your locs and you are truly beautiful!!!!!
This gave me a dope biopic vibe. I love how you did this and I'm so in love with your locs❣🙌🏾 💛 I'll be 1 year loc'd on March 14th, can't wait until I have as much hang time as you.
Listening to you speak about your journey, you sound like the voice in my head speaking about my own personal experience. Thank you for sharing your exhilarating loc journey. You are a true inspiration to we sisters walking the same path.
First let me say this...girl YOU and those locs are absolutely beautiful😍 my locs were started on 8/12/18. After being a loose natural for 7 years. I sat down in the chair and said just do it lol. She made my parts bigger i think because i have fine very curly hair?? Idk. But they are getting thick and I'm in love with them! And after watching you and your locs, i love them even more. Please keep the videos and ig pics coming. I love your journey queen. And thank you. God bless

I’m a month in and I am always looking for videos about everyone else’s loc journey. This is the first one I have found and I am the opposite of disappointed. This video had that spoken word/r&b vibe and now I am in love!
THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS! you’ve been my loc inspiration since I followed you on Instagram because I have thick locs(5 months in) and it’s rare finding thicker locs that aren’t free form or semi lol Seeing this notification made my morning! ❤️❤️ beautiful locs ma’am, just beautiful
Watching this gives me LIFE! My daughter is one year into her loc journey and her locs are thick like yours. She is 8 years old. I cannot wait to see her hair in 3 more years! Yours look amazing! Keep em growing! Thank you!
i love the video and the creativity! it’s crazy seeing the evolution of pictures, phones and outfits n stuff but i love the video and your locs are beautiful. i hope my loc journey does what it did for u
I looovvvee your locs. This is the look I'm trying to obtain with fo-locs because it looks so free and bohemian. They make you look like you're a beautiful painting that embodies the natural essence of beauty
Your hair is beautiful! Seeing your loc journey gives me hope. I'm on my loc journey. I got the two strand method done. So far its been four months, it hasn't locked yet but it's budding. I'm experiencing the same feelings as you did at first. I tried this loc journey two years ago but changed my mind after two weeks because I was so used to going to get weave in it and getting any type of style the weave. And I couldn't do it with my hair because it's not the same length as the weave I like to wear. Now I'm starting to feel the same way. And people are so used to me wearing weave until they don't know the natural me because I look different. And its so discouraging! There are times when I actually want to wear a wig to look different. BUT SEEING THIS VIDEO GIVES ME HOPE TO CONTINUE AND NOT COVER MY TWO STRAND STARTER DREADS UP! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!
Dope. I can relate to each stage! It was rough, then got easy, then irritating. Lol nah but you want them long in the beginning but once they grow you keep em up and out the way crazy how that works.
Omg ur locs are sooo thick an beautiful as hell!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍🥰 An ur length is like totally goals!!!!! I’m 2yrs 3 months in an I just added some loc jewelry too so I’m so excited about my loc journey ☺️☺️☺️
Beautiful locs beautiful woman hoping mines turn out thick as well I love me some thick locs so glad to see your journey and so nice to see you upload again you are truly my loc inspiration without a doubt stay blessed ❤
first of all, you're are crazy beautiful. those freckles, omg i have extremely curly dry caucasian hair, like a 3b or 3c. i let my hair freestyle loc for the first 5 months and then fell in love with the in between stage. i now have 2 year old dreads, like 15 or 16 and now my unloc'd hair needs to catch up. i love what you said about learning to love yourself as you are. this is exactly why i did it. everybody loves my hair but me. it's like wearing a fuzzy wool sweater. the only time i have loved LOVED my hair is during this journey. God is the best stylist
This was a superb loc journey vid! Editing, music, presentation all on point!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Congrats as you are on the edge of your 4th locaversary! I’m about a month in front of you (2/21 is my 4th🙌🏾), and I’ve watched your journey especially because our timelines are so close, and I love your thick locs!❤️❤️❤️👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Looking forward to watching your 5th year development!
I cant tell you how many I watched your other video!! I loved this video .. it was amazing..enjoyed it very much! I am starting my loc journey from a buzz cut so wish me luck.. 3rd time..I only pray mine are as beautiful as yours!!
This is so motivating. Started my loc journey two weeks ago, and they’ll be thick locs. I’m trying to embrace my beauty while in the ‘awkward phase’ and this change is really hard, but after watching this, I’m really eager to continue.
Best loc journey video ever!!! I needed to see this. I'm going through a rough time with mines and it's just a year. I had so much people tell me to comb it out and relax my hair. I felt like taking it out so many times, but I'm sticking with it. Wish me luck.
This video was an absolute joy to watch I loved it!!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 💖💖💖💖 your voice was so soothing the mellow music and the photos were beautiful so 😎 👌🏾. I can identify with your pregnancy 🤰🏽 part of the video because that’s when I also experienced rapid hair growth with my Locs. I wondered where you were I used to follow you a while back but didn’t get any updates now i know why lol. Ive made sure Ive pressed that bell 🛎 again! .....anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love thick Locs yours are superb!! 👌🏾. Thank you for sharing this wonderful journey. I’m pressing that bell 🛎 again!!!! for sure even if you give updates now and then. 🎉🎉😄. Can I ask a question? do you notice a difference in the weight of your Locs since they have become longer??
Omg!! You gave me all the hope! Just got to 1 year with my thick locs and I understood all the feelings, not pretty wanting to comb out. As I watched this video and you said year 3 was it, i started yelling "come on year 3" can't wait for mine to flourish!! Thanks for the update
I'm here for this whole video. Your hair is amazing. Videos like this makes me sooo excited to start this journey. Got me wanting to hear Arrested Development. Thanks for sharing
Currently watching this right now because I started my locs in 2019 when you were on you were almost at your 4th year anniversary, and I wanted my hair to look like yours so much. I’m currently going into my 4th year right now and my hair is flourishing, and it’s thick like how yours were. Thank you for being an inspiration ❤
Soooo fly! Oh my gosh! I get how humbly that beginning stage can be..first few months with my locs I felt so insecure, but looking back I’m glad I had that experience!
Loved this loc journey video. I’m getting ready to relock my hair. Right now I have a short cut with shaved sides and have been going back and forth about if I wanted them thick or small. And seeing your video confirms that I want them back juicy! Lol but my sides will still be shaved. I’ve had several sets of locs over the years, many sizes but never with shaved sides so I’m excited to get ready to start my new journey. Your hair has truly blossomed over the last four years 😍
Omg! MissKrisNew!!????? I remember watching you over 10 years ago when I first went natural. You were so helpful through my journey. I remember your crochet items etc. it’s so good to come across your video and see you flourishing.
I’m subscribing off the sheer transparency of your video and the energy you give off. I’m in year one and CHILEEEE , but this helps me greatly. Thank you sister!!!
I’m so happy I found your channel! I was subscribed to your old channel and have been wondering what your hair is like now. You were a huge inspiration to my natural hair journey! Your loss are absolutely beautiful!
I love your Video!! Thank you so much for sharing. I have been contemplating getting dreads for a few years now. I am going to start my journey in the fall. My Husband started his dreads 2 years ago and I have enjoyed seeing his journey and how well his dreads are turning out. Thanks so much for sharing again. I am really looking forward to the ugly stage, the alright we are getting somewhere stage, to the straight slaying it stage.
Uuuuggghhhh!!!! You are so gorgeous to me! I'm so glad that you didn't disappear forever. I remember going natural and following you and a bunch of other ladies and it's sad that they no longer are here. But life happens of course! I'm happy to say that I'm on my own loc journey!!! I wanted sisterlocs but not the sisterloc price so I did my own micro plaits and have interlocked twice so far! I'm in love with my hair again and you can't tell me nothing lol!!!
Ur going to make me cry lol. It's a big deal for me to be apart of my daughters loc journey at such a young age and especially going into her more formidable years she gets to be free and just get comfortable in herself which is exactly why I think it is a good time. But knowing I get to put some years of love into her locs b4 she takes over and becomes a young lady. Shes my middle child and our youngest is just now wheened off mama so it perfect time so focus on my relationship with her. And we started a new book series prob take us thru the first year stage together so :) here's to her loc journey :) thx
I so want this level of patience. I quit on myself twice and if I can quit on me how can I have expectations for someone else to be loyal. But this 3rd loc journey IM ALL IN FOR ME! ❤❤
I absolutely loved this video!! You are me, I am you!! It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and have started and stopped a couple of times before finally committing! I did the big chop twice before locing it up! I don’t regret it but it’s trying me! I’m now on year one! Thank u for this! Definitely needed it!
I started my thick Locs two days ago, your video is so inspiring with all of the looks!! You should publish a Loc styling guide, I tried to screenshot my favorite ones to try out once my Locs grow out. Please make a 5 year update video
You give me so much faith in the process. I’ve been having some severe loc envy. I cheated and got instant locs but they came out thicker than I wanted, I wanted locs to be similar to Duchess in size and uniformity but that didn’t happen so I’ve been grieving for months. I’ve felt so ugly and unhappy but seeing you has excited me all over and renewed my faith in “the process” ☺️
Sis, I’m 4 months into my 3rd set. The first 2 only lasted a couple months each. That being said, I’m sure i have watched hundred of youtube videos on locs, for fun, boredom or straight up obsession with this journey. I love this video, the wisdom you have and share, and how relatable you are. And your locssss give ❤️
This video makes me want to comb my twists out and make my locs this size! I’m on month 1 of my loc journey and this made me so excited for the future. I’m at the stage now where I don’t feel feminine. Thanks for sharing
Omg your locks are incredibly beautiful .. the transformation through the years was beautiful to see 💜 I’m starting my dreadlocks journey now in January and I can’t wait 😍
I ran across your picture on Instagram and finally decided to combine my locs! I have been thinking about thicker locs for a while. I’ve had several sets of locs over the years, many sizes but never with shaved sides so I’m excited to get ready to start my new journey. Your hair has truly blossomed over the last four years 😍
Love this video and my gawd You Are Gorgeous!!!
Omg! MissKrisNew!!????? I remember watching you over 10 years ago when I first went natural. You were so helpful through my journey. I remember your crochet items etc. it’s so good to come across your video and see you flourishing.
Your locs inspired me to make mine bigger ❤️❤️❤️❤️
So glad to hear that! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m subscribing off the sheer transparency of your video and the energy you give off. I’m in year one and CHILEEEE , but this helps me greatly. Thank you sister!!!

All that I can say is beautiful!!!!😍 Your locs are so thick and healthy!!! This video was so motivating.
I watched because of your face. I think i should find me a lady with locks. Im 2yrs in an im still in the ugly faze my hair texture is like no other 🤣
Nah man, there's no ugly stage just the awkward stage 👌 we all look great out here even during the awkward phase.
I’m so happy I found your channel! I was subscribed to your old channel and have been wondering what your hair is like now. You were a huge inspiration to my natural hair journey! Your loss are absolutely beautiful!
Wow you are gorgeous! Great video. Locs are so pretty. #blackgirlmagic
I might be late but Miss Kriss you were my natural hairinspo from way back. So happy you're back! Love the hair as usual 🙂
Beautiful.... I love your lil freckles. Very exotic!
Lol thank you! ❤️
I totally love this... so genuine and authentic... was glad to see your personality in your journey
Beautiful video 😩🖤❤️ Your loc journey just gave me so much more confidence about my own journey.
First of all THAT INTRO 👏🏽 with Miles Davis in the background 🙌🏽💚👑
Locs are gorgeous and so are you! They are perfect. Thanks for sharing your journey and I'm happy your husband was patient... So worth it!!!!
This is such a great throw back video of you starting your locs.. I loved seeing how you styled your beautiful hair.
Omg your locks are incredibly beautiful .. the transformation through the years was beautiful to see 💜 I’m starting my dreadlocks journey now in January and I can’t wait 😍
YOUR HAIR IS SO PRETTY ! I know that 1st year of locs is gonna be rough but ima push thru
I ran across your picture on Instagram and finally decided to combine my locs! I have been thinking about thicker locs for a while. Then.......I search "thick locs" on UA-cam and literally the picture I saw on Instagram popped up!!!! I will be following you and your hair journey! Your locs are so full and beautiful!!!
