i respectfully disagree....what choice u make right now wouldn't guarantee anything...my friend studied a lot ,did a lot of hardwork so he and his family can have a comfortable life..and he did it,he became officer in Air Force,got married,was living the life he actually created for himself until one evening he finds out another man with his wife on the bed,,,he shoots him and now serving a life sentence in jail...i mean in this world full of probabilities noting is guaranteed
CR7 Shady the choice to kill the man his wife slept with decided the rest of his life...controlling your emotions is one of the toughest jobs. If I were the man, I would have given divorce to that bitch and married someone else who is better and understands me more. Sometimes, theory of revenge doesn't seem productive except for temporary satisfaction or that feeling when you give what he/she deserves but rather complicating....

I saw this movie again after almost a decade. I didn’t realize I was watching the director’s cut version. When I saw the ending, I was completely devastated. I don’t remember that scene at all and it made me feel like I watched a completely different movie. It made me feel so sad and empty inside. It was fucking brilliant but I still prefer the theatrical version because that was the one which made me fell in love with the movie in the first place.
How can someone not relate to this movie? We have to realize that our attempts to make ourselves happy comes at a very high cost to someone else because our happiness can destroy someone else's life.
This film has one of the most exciting endings ever. Sometimes I'd like to turn back time to change some things in my life, or maybe create another present time, but I realize it's impossible. So all we have to do is walking down the streets ang look ahead. The things will come in the right moment. We don't need diaries to write in, 'cause every one of us is a diary.

My husband saved me just like this.....I was in an very abusive household growing up and he lived across the street..... He saw everything from just keeping an eye on me. And now he's my SAVIOR!!!! He's so loving and attentive and takes care of me and helps me grow!!! Right now he's helping me go through corporate training to be able to buy a franchise from our first jobs as kids!!! NEVER let that special person go!! Fight for what you KNOW is right!

I love this movie, it’s one of those things that really puts an impact on you. And the ending is sad but he really loved her enough that he would rather have them never know each other so she wouldn’t die or have any other bad endings. And in the end they were both better off I guess.
This movie really affected me when it came out whenever I was a teenager. I watched this so much. There’s a lot of dark scenes in this and different endings but I loved the ending where he just chooses to make her hate him as a child so she and her brother would leave that town and not be raised by their predator father. Then the ending whenever they kinda recognize each other while both are successful and happy. 😭 This song always reminds me of this film.

It's hard to think that things like fate or destiny exist in a world of 7.5 billion people acting with free will to what the FK they want....which often FKS things up.

I revisit this movie today because I listen to Oasis, and found this UA-cam clips. BUT holysht, it has different ending, he travels back in time and this time as a unborn baby, and he commit suicide by strangling himself inside womb. that's wild, I didn't know it has multiple ending in some DVD releases.
This movie is proof that everything which happened can never be undone. If we could go back in time, we would probably messed up everything by trying to fix it.

I just saw this movie and it makes me emotional and so does this song. It sucks that the only way he could save everybody was to not end up being with somebody that he loved.
This movie is the best movie I have ever seen in my life and one with one of the most realistic depictions of real life consequences I have ever seen. I am huge time traveller sci fi fan and i loved this movie... not just because of the time travel stuff,but its sad, its beautiful and the lyrics makes complete sense...
The original Kayleigh really got screwed over. She suffered so much abuse and trauma and did so all from the choice to stay with her father to be closer to Evan, only for Evan to move away and basically forget about her for 7 years, only to come back for selfish reasons.

The original intended ending, which was filmed and is on some versions of the movie has Evan go into himself while his mom is pregnant with him, and he finds a way to kill himself. Basically he wraps the umbilical cord around himself and strangles himself. The company was highly against this, and the directors tried to fight for that ending, but they compromised and made a somewhat happy or reflective & hopeful ending. This ending works when you remember his mom had 2 still births before Evan, and we realize that those babies were in fact other time shifters who also killed themselves. There was also a scene where Evan is at dinner with his mom and then they go to a fortune teller who seed he has no life line. That he wasn't meant to be born. 🤯

After all these years I still can't process this movie. It's one of the most sad movies that I've watched but at same time makes me think about so many things....
Same with me. There's too many things happening but at some point, I got the intention of the film, now that I'm a bit older, I would love to watch and understand the whole movie again.
Watched this movie when I was 15 years old in 2005. I was sad for literally a week after watching this just thinking about the ending and the butterfly effect. It stuck with me till this day.
Same here! Watched this movie as a kid and I couldn’t stomach everything now even as an adult. This movie was one of the most heartbreaking movies ever. I rather watch Armageddon a second time than this. And that movie I hate with a passion cause a few astronauts died in space tryna save the world

This movie is the best movie I have ever seen in my life and one with one of the most realistic depictions of real life consequences I have ever seen. This emotional roller coaster is something that almost everyone can relate to and it made me totally change my perspective Oasis is dank too but butterfly effect and Aston Kutcher in this was the fucking shit!!!
This movie teaches us that sometimes we have to sacrifice our own happiness for the happiness of our love ones....its one of most depressing ending 😭

The original Kayleigh really got screwed over. She suffered so much abuse and trauma and did so all from the choice to stay with her father to be closer to Evan, only for Evan to move away and basically forget about her for 7 years, only to come back for selfish reasons.

spoiler warning
here for everyone!
The original intended ending,
which was filmed
and is on some versions
of the movie
has Evan go into himself
while his mom is pregnant
with him, and he finds a
way to kill himself.
Basically he wraps the
umbilical cord around himself and strangles himself.
The company was highly against this, and the directors tried to fight for that ending, but they compromised and made a somewhat happy or reflective & hopeful ending.
This ending works when you remember his mom had 2 still births before Evan, and we realize that those babies were in fact other time shifters who also killed themselves.
There was also a scene where
Evan is at dinner with his mom and then they go to a fortune teller who seed he has no life line. That he wasn't meant to be born. 🤯

This movie just reminds me that everything that happens in your life makes you into who you are..even if you could go back and change one small thing it would completely change the life your living now..and it could be for the good or the bad..you’ll never know..that’s why you should just learn and live through whatever comes your way..and do your best with whatever cards your dealt..because it makes you who you are

One of my favorite all time movies
I remember watching some parts of this in my teens on Sky Movies 15 years ago lol and being absolutely intrigued by him being able to go back in time with his memories, I've just watched the full movie after all these years, and it's a damn masterpiece. There just never seem to be movies this pure nowadays.

The meaning of the movie is that whatever happens to your life is something you can easily forget and do the next step but if you could change the past the only think you were able to do is to destroy your future
But sometimes,you destroy your future with your choices..so you still have to do the next step..you can’t go BACK.Same conclusion.
A little deeper on the subject, It takes two. Evan's pretty lucky to end up (Well, actually not end up) w/ her.
This is one of the strongest emotional endings ever!
